Miranda's POV

I looked at the two friends from left to right as they gawped at me especially Micheal

Am just dressing casually for Christ sake

What if I dressed up in those my slay gowns then they would have died

"Can I come in or are you guys going to stare at me all day "I said waving my hands

"Umm sorry good morning Miranda"Kel said scratching the nape of his neck

I just huffed and walked in

Plonking myself on a sofa

The journey to this place is not a child's play

I released multiple breaths and relaxed my nerves

"Welcome to your new home Miranda"I muttered

"Please where can I drop my bag so I can start my work"I said

"That's rude of you , can't you acknowledge your boss by greeting "he said and I chuckled

"The same boss that was staring at me a while ago not giving me the chance to get in "I said and he muttered something incoherently and I laughed

"Come Miranda ,let me show you to a room so you can make me a cup of those your tasty coffees "Kel said and Michael shot him a playful glare which I found amusing

I picked my bags and walked upstairs with him

It was a big apartment

"That's my room "he said pointing at the first door by the left

"And that's Micheal's room"he said pointing at the room facing his directly

The jerks room

"Then that's the two spare rooms and you can have one to yourself"he said and I nodded

Then I noticed another door which had the inscription DO NOT ENTER

HUH

"Who owns that room "I asked

"Uhmm that's our office and no one is allowed to go in there,so I advise you not to go in there ,Let me just say it's our personal something"he said winking and smiling at me revealing his one sided dimple making me chuckle

Now I see why Mitchell fell for him

"Yeah I would try to avoid the room though am very inquisitive "I said jokingly but deep down I meant it

That's Miranda for you

"Well you can't get in because it's always locked,if we are in it's locked, if we are out it's locked"he said and I nodded

I guess he doesn't know I have my ways with keys

Hahahaha

If only they knew am the anonymous assassin those CIA are searching for then they wouldn't have hired me

"We will get some painters to repaint the room later"he said as he opened the door revealing the best room

Although no one was staying here it was still neat

Gosh I think they are neat freaks

I dropped my bag on the bed and looked around the room

It's nice only needs repainting as he said

"Thanks a lot ,you are much better than that rude, grumpy,jerky friend of yours "I said rolling my eyes and he laughed

"Michael is very fun to be with , Trust me with time you will fall in love with him"he said and I gasped

"I meant fall in love with his nature but its isn't bad if you fall in love with him then I, Mitchell,you and Michael can go on a double date . Awwn"he said chuckling and I sent him a glare

"You can leave , breakfast would soon be ready"I said pushing him out of the room playfully

I locked the door and walked down the stairs with him ignoring his laughter

We got down and found Michael playing some video games

I ignored him and walked straight to the kitchen while Kel went to join him

I washed two mugs and placed them on a saucer each before placing them on a tray

I poured some water into the heater and plugged it in

I decided to add pancakes

I checked their cupboard and luckily the materials were there all arranged

I brought out the flour ,measured the quantity I needed and returned it,got the sugar ,did the same thing and returned it

I got two eggs and broke in it and started turning it added some other ingredients like milk and started stirring

I placed the fry pan on the cooker and started frying

By then the water had started boiling

I poured it in the cups and added the ingredients and stir

Scooped all the pancakes out and turned off the cooker

I got a plate ,rinsed it and placed it in it

I wiped my hands dry before carrying everything to the dinning

I arranged them in the dinning

I looked at them and they were still engrossed in their video games

Michael was losing badly

So pathetic at everything

I walked towards them and clapped my hands to attract their attention but it wasn't working

I went in front of them and instead they bent their heads

That does it

I went to the TV and unplugged the cord

"How could you do something like that "Micheal fumed

"Breakfast is ready and I had been calling you guys for the past five minutes "I said and walked to the dinning

They walked after me to the dinning

They sat down to eat while I went to the kitchen to wash the dishes

"Where's your food "I heard Micheal ask

"I need to wash the dishes "I said wondering why he cares

"Get your breakfast Miranda and join us"he said and I nodded

I prepared my coffee cold the way I love it

Took the remaining pancakes and walked to the dinning

I pulled out a chair and sat down

Can't wait to devour

"Uhmmm so delicious"Kel muttered with his mouth filled with pancakes

I did the sign of the cross before eating

That's one thing my parents taught me and am not ready to let go of it

I looked up and saw Micheal staring at me

I felt a tingling feeling but waved it off

I chewed on my pancakes and drank the coffee

I raised my head again and found him already eating

I can't explain the feeling when I saw him staring at me
