Miranda's POV

I rolled my eyes as he complimented the food not wanting to show him my blush

I am really happy he complimented me

Well if he hadn't done that,I would be more than disappointed

There is this feeling I get when ever he says something nice about me

It's a wrong feeling because an assassin never falls in love

And am a ruthless and a no nonsense assassin

"Gosh this food is so lit dearie"Kel said and I chuckled

"Don't let Mitchell catch you saying that "I said rolling my eyes

He did a mental sign of the cross and I giggled

See who is playing holy

"Why can't you do that in her presence "Micheal chipped in and Kel sent him a playful glare which made me chuckle almost peeing on my panties

I said almost please am not bluffing

I watched as they started rounding up with their meals

I can't believe how fast I just warmed up to them In just few hours

So so unlike me

"You are just trying to be nice"my subconsciousness said and I nodded

"Miranda you are not eating "I heard a voice butt in my thoughts

Oh well

"How does that bother you "I said rolling my eyes and Kel laughed

"Sorry for caring "he said and faced his last piece of pancakes

"No jokes please ,why are you not eating "Kel asked

"Trying to watch my weight you know"I said and winked

The next thing I heard was laughter and giggling

From no other person than the jerk

"What's funny dude "I asked and he intensified his laughter

"Watching your weight when you are already weightless ,do you want to become invisible then you know you have lost weight"he said in between laughs and I gritted my teeth

That's it am done eating

What a rude comment

I never expected such comments from him

I don't know why but all I need from him are nice comments

I stood up and walked angrily into the kitchen ignoring stares from Kel

I dropped my plates at the counter and packed the remaining pancakes in a plate

I placed the plates in the sink and started washing since it was little ,no need using a dish washer

Immediately my phone beeped

I brought it out from my pocket and saw it was a message from boss and another from Mitchell

I opened the one from boss

Assassin's mode

I smiled as a smirk plastered on my face

I opened the one from Mitchell and she said she would be coming here this evening so we could go home together

Oh thank God

I can just tell her am staying here when she comes

Michael's POV

"Seriously dude why would you say something like that,that was too harsh and very harsh"Kel said eating his last pancakes

"I didn't mean to ,I thought we would just laugh over it as usual . I didn't know she would be mad "I said scratching the nape of my neck which had suddenly become itchy

"Whatever just find a way to apologise to her ,tell her that you are sorry "he said and I jerked up

"Apologize to her? Seriously no way dude"I said

Absolutely no way

That's totally off point

I have never begged any lady in my life except my mom and my little sister;once by the way

Even my teachers never experienced any form of begging from me

Then why will I render it to my cook

"Egocentric Michael "Kel said chuckling

"You and I know am not egocentric ,it's not just my thing . I got no pride ,am very sociable....

"So what's the biggie in asking for forgiveness over a wrong you did"he said and I scoffed inwardly

"Am done eating "I said and packed my plate up before walking into the kitchen

I placed it in the dishwasher and allowed it do it's work

See if am egocentric will I be washing the plates

No I won't

Am as free as a bird.

At ma'am Bonna's Cafeteria /Restaurant

Mitchell's POV

"Table 5 &7 Mitchell"Cecelia said

Remember Cecelia our head cook

I went to the counter and got the food for the table and pushed my trolley away

Today has really been busy

The bar has been so boring,busy and tiring

To crown it all Miranda isn't here anymore

It makes me sick

Why didn't ma'am Bonna just send both of us to cook there

I wish there can be a way I could join her

Or is there

I racked my brain but nothing was coming forth

Or should I tell Kel to tell ma'am Bonna he needs my services

If I do that won't I sound desperate

"Mitchell what the heck are you waiting for,the customers are waiting"Ma'am Bonna said jolting me out of my thoughts

I quickly pushed the trolley still thinking of how to leave this restaurant

I dropped the plates on the table and the guy there placed his card in my trouser

Seriously

Since Miranda isn't here,am I the next target of business cards

I pushed the trolley away after giving him a fake smile

I dumped the card into the trashcan not bothering to spare a glance at it to avoid temptation

Hahahaha

Few minutes to closing

Can't wait to see Kel and my best friend also

Miranda's POV

I put on a baggy trouser and a oversized shirt after having a warm shower

Tied my hair into a messy bun and rubbed a little lipstick on my lips

I look nice

Can't wait to see Mitchelle

I walked out of the door and bumped into the jerk

I ignored him and walked away despite his stares

I sat down on the couch and waited for my best friend

Since Kel wasn't around to talk to ,I slotted in a cassette to keep me busy

Writer's POV

In a conference room

"Does anyone know who is the next person the assassin will likely kill"Janja said staring keenly at them

"We don't know,she already killed Javier , Clinton .who knows who is next"Brian said scratching his hair

"And it seems she's after those greedy money bags"Mico said

"I don't know but we need to find her and kill her. From my research it seems she's having a revenge or something but I already got someone to handle her . He's going to track her down and kill her so we won't leave our lives in fear"Janja said and they nodded
