C3 What If I Accidentally Enter the Ladies' Room?

After Lee Yu finished his meal, Huang Xiu was already deep into her homework at the living room table.

Lee Yu tidied up the dining area with a quick sweep, taking the dishes and utensils to the kitchen. By the time the water stopped running, Huang Xiu had completed a sheet of homework.

Lee Yu settled beside Huang Xiu, reviewing the assignment adorned with her neat handwriting.

Having just returned home from a break in his studies, Lee Yu hadn't had a moment's rest when Huang Xiu's mother showed up, tearfully explaining her daughter's slipping grades. That's when Lee Yu's own mother volunteered him for the job.

As his mother put it, "My son was just loafing around, getting on my nerves at home."

And so, Lee Yu found himself drafted into tutoring duty.

Huang Xiu worked swiftly, a testament to her enrollment in a top-tier class at a prestigious school. She was more than capable of acing most assignments on her own.

Lee Yu's assistance was akin to gilding the lily.

Past eleven, Lee Yu stretched languidly, pointed out a few errors on the papers, and then retreated to his room.

"System, is my travel between here and there instantaneous?" Lee Yu flopped onto his bed, forming a 'big' character.

Yes, the host simply needs to think it, and you can traverse the two worlds freely.

This was crucial. Without proper consideration during spellcasting, one could easily land in peril.

"System, am I able to take items with me to the Otherworld?"

Yes.

Lee Yu nodded, mulling over his current situation.

He might not understand why the system had chosen him, but the mysteriously appearing toilet paper and the effects of the Purification Pill he consumed were undeniable proof that this was no figment of his imagination.

His sanity was intact, which meant the Otherworld was indeed a reality.

This implied that the privilege of entering the Otherworld held immense potential.

Regardless of whether the Otherworld contained anything he desired, at the very least, it could serve as a personal storage space, allowing him to transport items there for safekeeping.

Furthermore, with the ability to shuttle between worlds at will, wasn't that the ultimate safeguard?

A single thought could whisk him between realms. In the face of danger, he could escape to the Otherworld and return only when the coast was clear.

With a sly chuckle, Lee Yu's thoughts were punctuated by his eerie laughter.

The night slipped by silently.

By the time Lee Yu awoke, Huang Xiu had already left for school, but breakfast lingered on the table. Lee Yu nibbled absentmindedly at the meal before dressing and, with keys in hand, stepping out the door.

The remnants of his breakfast accompanied him only briefly before parting ways with their owner, finding a new home in a nearby trash can.

Lee Yu hailed a cab and made a beeline for the military surplus store he'd scoped out the night before.

"What'll it be, young man?"

The proprietor, a gentleman cresting his fifties, glanced up at Lee Yu as he entered, then returned his gaze to whatever trinket had previously occupied his attention.

Lee Yu surveyed the shop's wares. Despite suspecting most were knockoffs, unlikely genuine, he couldn't help but be impressed by the variety of tools crammed into the tiny space.

Knockoffs had their place—often boasting better quality control than the real deal. What mattered was having a comprehensive selection.

Reflecting on his prior night's musings, Lee Yu listed his needs: "I'm looking for abrasion-resistant gloves, a helmet, and anti-stab clothing and footwear."

"Oh, and do you carry electric batons? And how about a machete?"

The shopkeeper peered over his reading glasses, sizing up Lee Yu. "Mind if I ask what you're gearing up for, young man?"

"Wilderness exploration!" Lee Yu declared, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"You seem like a novice. Don't you have someone to show you the ropes?"

"What do you mean?" Lee Yu's brow arched inquisitively.

His requests were tailored to wilderness adventuring, and though the destination might be unconventional, he was confident there'd be no oversight.

The owner stooped to retrieve a meter-long box from beneath the counter. "Everything you're after is in here, plus a few things you haven't considered."

Lee Yu eyed the sealed box with curiosity.

Tapping the box, the owner elaborated, "Inside, you'll find a full set of professional survival gear, not just the boots, helmet, and gloves you mentioned, but also a multifunctional flashlight, a versatile entrenching tool, and a satellite GPS navigator. They're not the fanciest on the market, but for a beginner like you, they're more than sufficient for a jaunt through the woods."

"Boss, you're really on top of things. How much does it cost?" Lee Yu was unfazed by the hint of scorn in the boss's tone.

Why would he divulge his plans to conquer a new world to just anyone?

It would be mortifying if word got out and he ended up failing in the Otherworld.

"It's 7,000 yuan for the full set, and the price is firm."

Lee Yu pulled out his phone, relieved to find he still had 10,000 yuan available. "I'll transfer the money to you."

"Thank you for your business." The boss, upon hearing the payment confirmation through the speakers, removed his reading glasses with a gesture that said 'make your purchase and please leave.'

...

The box was a bit heavy, but thanks to the Purification Pill, Lee Yu's physical condition had greatly improved, allowing him to easily hoist it and hail a cab by the roadside.

Once back in his room, Lee Yu donned a set of clothes and even grabbed a diving oxygen tank before taking a deep breath.

Here goes.

Lee Yu vanished from his room, only to reappear the next moment, his face a picture of astonishment.

Damn, what was that white thing?

It looked like the structure of a human back.

It took a while for Lee Yu to snap out of his stupor. He discarded the oxygen tank and swiftly stripped off his climbing gear. After a long pause, he finally whispered to himself,

"Let's do this."

Whoosh.

In an instant, Lee Yu, who had vanished from the room, was back again.

He grumbled, "Damn, that was too intense. I forgot to get dressed."

After digging through the scattered clothes on the floor to find his everyday attire, Lee Yu triple-checked that he was fully prepared before embarking for the Otherworld.

There was no sensation of crossing over, no walking through a bizarre tunnel—just a thought, and Lee Yu was transported to an unfamiliar place.

He cautiously gripped the multifunctional flashlight that doubled as a stun baton.

"Thank goodness, no more white butt."

Lee Yu breathed a sigh of relief, muttering to himself.

He found himself in a wooden shack, permeated with an odd odor. A glance through the gaps in the wooden planks made it clear he was in a rather primitive outhouse.

Lee Yu couldn't help but feel a bit at a loss.

He had considered the possibility of being transported to a world with extreme conditions, or even to a dense forest teeming with strange creatures.

He had even gone so far as to bring an oxygen tank, ensuring he had his own supply of air.

What Lee Yu hadn't anticipated was receiving a system while in a bathroom, and after his transmigration to the Otherworld, finding himself in another toilet—this time, one that was occupied.

Was it possible he had some inexplicable fate tied to toilets?

Surveying his surroundings, Lee Yu noticed the previous occupant had left. He breathed a sigh of relief. The initial shock of the scene had sent him scrambling back to his room in a panic.

He had caught a glimpse of someone else's rear end and hoped it wouldn't result in any bad luck.

As Lee Yu edged towards the room's doorway, lost in his thoughts, the solid wooden door suddenly swung open.

"Damn it, move!"

Overcome with urgency, Lee Yu focused his mind and found himself back in his own room.

Sitting on the bed, he mumbled to himself, "Exploring at night might be wiser. It's easier to get things done quietly."

He pulled out his phone, hesitated for a moment, then reluctantly searched on Baidu: "What to do if you accidentally walk into a stall in the women's restroom? Need advice—urgent!"
