C10 Finally Home

The second exit gate to the Mansion where Evans took to avoid his brother's Fans was also clogged, which somehow obstructed his passage. He had to use his car horn constantly to clear the crowd away from the road toward the hospital, which seemed quite difficult.

In the process of his frustrations at a seemingly impossible task, due to the stubbornness of the fans who barely moved out of the way to grant him a passage through, Evans's phone rang again with Sarah calling...on the screen. He was already stranded in the middle of the road anyway so he paused to speak to her.

"Hello! Sarah, I am quite stranded right now...Before Evans could finish his sentence Sarah interrupted.

"I am sorry Doctor Evans...but Doctor Fred returned my call so I had to report about the patient's condition to him...I just wanted to tell you that he is already here so there is no need to come. We have the situation under control." The nervousness at which Sarah spoke on the phone could be sensed in her statement but Evans didn't make anything of it.

"That's great news...so is Dr. Fred already in surgery?" Evans asked.

"Yes sir...we are currently prepared to go into surgery but the call I placed after our phone call to the blood bank have not yet been responded to." Sarah reported in extreme panic.

Meanwhile, an incoming call intruded into their phone call about the arrival of the ambulance with the blood, so Sarah immediately hung up the call in haste, and headed towards the commencement of the surgery of the admitted patient after informing Evans about the emergency.

"Now, how I will move this car and turn it around seems like another impossible task amidst these fans.." Evans muttered to himself in humor. "I am guessing there is no need to hurry now since I was just ditched!"

Evans relaxed into his car to take a nap while waiting for the fans to soon clear out of his way. As if he could sleep right now! He checked the time once more and it was 1 am in the morning. Suddenly, the huge crowd before him began to disperse to their various homes living the streets empty.

"Finally!... Evans gasped and was about to turn his car back to his home when a different Nurse from the hospital called to report another emergency regarding three seriously injured accident victims, so he increased the speed of his car and sped towards the hospital that instant.

That was when he met the most stubborn girl the world had ever known, also stranded and seemed lost. A damsel in distress whom he wanted to help after scanning her worse condition. She looked like hell at first sight...Evans wondered how she made it out of his car anyway, when he had securely bound her to the seat.

Evans finally remembered the girl he helped on his way to the hospital and returned hours later, after getting all the patients' conditions in control and even finishing his surgery on the serious ones, but he found her gone and nowhere to be seen around the hospital.

In any case, since she didn't seem to want any medical attention, that's fine...but he surely hopes she wouldn't consider another suicide attempt.

An hour after Rhea's escape...

The safe escape Rhea desperately made out of the creepy warehouse seemed like a huge miracle. After Jason left with Sam and she was left shattered by the discovery of her boyfriend's betrayal, she nearly gave up and was ready to face her doomed Fate for whatever Jason was going to do to her. When suddenly, her sister's voice called out to her deep into her subconsciousness.

Nevertheless, the unusual noise she normally heard coming directly outside the door and guessed it might be from Kyle and Josh standing guard, was no longer heard at that moment. There was an odd silence that only echoed her whimpers in the cold creepy room she was locked in.

That was when Rhea realized none of the guys were around, they must have headed back to the party to prevent their strange disappearance from getting noticed. So she used the opportunity to successfully escaped from their clutches.

It seemed they didn't think she might try to escape from them since they left her broken....they thought she was some weak vulnerable girl.

An hour after her escape,

Sam Wilby, Rhea's heartless indifferent boyfriend was the first to notice her disappearance when he returned shortly after her escape with a tray of food from the party, he guessed Rhea didn't have anything since they arrived in camp.

Contrary to what he was expecting of a shattered girl he left behind a while ago, Sam was gravely shocked when he didn't find Rhea and the door lock was a mess. So he rushed to the party to call Jason's attention to her escape.

"She escaped!" Sam whispered into Jason's ears which called the attention of Kyle and Josh when they saw Jason rush out with Sam, and both friends joined behind them.

"I think someone must have helped her. it seemed quite impossible for her to unlock the door and escape...She was a weak girl after all." Kyle blabbered, keenly staring at Sam as if suspecting his handiwork in Rhea's escape.

However, Sam took offense at the accusations since he and Kyle hated each other and didn't get along well since Jason allowed him into their group. Sam could already guess where Kyle's thoughts were heading, simply from the icy glares, he directed toward him while talking.

"Weak? you are calling Rhea weak?" Sam confronted Kyle for his absurd talks. "Why don't you go and search for her, bring her back if she was soo weak as you claimed?" Sam suddenly closed the distance between him and Kyle itching for a fight. It seemed he had finally reached the end of his patience from Kyle's outrageous comments and insinuations all this while, so he nearly bumped Kyle's head in his closeness to confront him, then added maliciously.

"No?.. well, it seems you are weaker than her...I guess." Sam uttered to trigger the first reaction from Kyle which he succeeded when Kyle got furious and attacked him with his fist.

Sam had an evil smirk on his face, with a soft chuckle, then hit Kyle back real hard and blood dripped from his nose...and it escalated into a serious brawl between them, and were suddenly at each other's throats until a loud voice echoed amidst all the chaos.

"Will you both quit it? shouldn't you be out there, searching for her? this is not the time to apportion blames. Find her before she does something we will all regret." Josh moved to break the fight.

With a deadly scorn on his face, Jason Taylor reassured his friends in his unique humor, about the threats he already put in place to keep their prey from going anywhere near the cops. He already blackmailed Rhea with some explicit videos that might incriminate her instead of them.

After all, he wasn't the mastermind or brain behind the entire game for nothing, and it's definitely not his first time at such games... His plots had no loose ends. He didn't wait for three years with his perfectly well-planned game only to mess it up down the road...That simply wasn't his quota as a loser.

Jason turned to his friends with pride...satisfied with his strategies and how everything fell in place for his great accomplishments.

"Come on...let's move from here before anybody suspects anything." Jason dragged his friends out of the warehouse to return to the party, to avoid any arising suspicions later regarding Tom Carter who left the party with his two friends a while back.

Mission Accomplished!

The four boys returned to the party and sneakily blended with the others to avoid any suspicions about their sudden disappearance, and the contented look on Jason's face didn't go unnoticed by Sam who was left curious about what was happening.

Back at Rhea's apartment,

Rhea finally arrived home after hours on the road. She hastily alighted from the taxi after she handed the driver an expensive ring Sam gifted her on their last date as payment...all in Sam's plot to get her to agree to come with him, it seems. But she feels so stupid now when she remembered all the amazing memories with Sam were all farces. He had subjected her to a general mockery and ridicule only to please Jason...None of his affections were ever real. She was only a means to an end. And now here she was... turned into a murderer!

After Jason left with Sam, he returned shortly to rob more salt to her wound when he threatened her with a video.

In the video, Rhea was shocked when she saw herself fidgeting with Tom's car instead of the other way around. Jason's face was never in it, something she clearly saw happened in front of her, or did she imagine it? How did Jason manage to frame her with evidence, for a crime he just committed?

Everything that played in the video seemed to be pointing toward her as the criminal behind the sabotage.

"An hour from now, Tom would be involved in a serious accident resulting from brake failure and maybe die...so, how would you like it when the cops start an investigation and I am to hand them this piece of video as evidence?." The vivid tone of Jason's laughter still pierced into her head like a drilling machine.

Rhea cleared her head with the gruesome memories etched into her mind and punched the door code to the apartment. She rushed into her home feeling slightly relieved when she saw her sister asleep on the couch.

Tiptoeing to not wake her sister and get discovered of her current state, Rhea rushed to head straight into her room but unfortunately, it seemed her sister heard her come in, so Kristine opened her eyes to look at the time. It was five in the morning before she shifted her gaze toward Rhea.

Kristine was shocked and speechless with her mouth agape at Rhea's state. She wondered why Rhea made it home early, not long after she excitedly left for their camping trip...then suddenly, Kristine remembered Jason was amongst the crew. Which meant something definitely happened...quite serious too from the looks of her sister's appearance.

Kristine got up to scan her sister when she noticed Rhea's state...the bruises, red cheeks, and tattered dress and she felt it like a hammer to her chest...the pain was unbearable.

"Rhea!... What happened?" Kristine took sharp breaths. She finally found her tongue to ask after grinding her teeth in anger at all the crazy likely explanations running through her mind. It had to be Jason at the end of her sister's current state right now...How dare he!

On the other hand, Rhea's reply to her sister's question was to turn into her sister's arms for comfort. She held Kristine in a tight embrace which triggered all the piled-up tears to suddenly let loose. Rhea wept into her sister's arms. All the while, apologizing and regretful for all her stubbornness to pay heed to any of her sister's warnings...

"I should have listened to you Kris...he is a bas-tard and always had been." Rhea choked from her continuous tears.

"What happened? what did he do to you? tell me, Rhea." Kristine asked her sister, worry written all over her face. she became frightened the bastard must have done something terrible to her sister. Or else Rhea wouldn't cry this miserably.

Her little sister wasn't this weak. Rhea was a very confident, strong-willed girl who has learned over the years, to stand up for herself. To boldly face all her problems on her own. She was a very brave, intelligent girl who refuses to think evil of others. Her only mistake was to see the good in people and that's exactly why she dated a cruel guy like Jason Taylor. He took advantage of her innocence, her compassion, and ability to see good in people and corrupted her.

Kristine only agreed for her sister to go on that three nights out of town because Rhea assured her it was safe. She convinced her that, her boyfriend will accompany her even though her ex-boyfriend Jason, was the one who planned that trip.

Has she made the biggest mistake of her life, by giving in to her sister's pleas? did that silly boyfriend of hers just stand there watching, while Rhea was being mistreated? It had better not be the case or else, She promised to deal with each one of them...including that dumb boyfriend Sam.

Kristine scanned her sister's messed-up appearance again, and her anger began to build up wildly within her. She will never forgive the person behind Rhea's tears.....She won't!

Rhea let go of her sister and quickly run towards her room when she heard her mom's door open, then closed. She didn't want her mom to see her in her current state.

"I thought I heard someone crying!" Mrs. Rachel Sanders, the girl's mother spoke to Kristine who was seated, trying to hide her teary eyes from her sister's demise.

"It's the television mom...a drama I was watching. Sorry, I woke you up from all the noise." Kristine lied to protect her sister's secret.

"Is your sister back already?" Mrs. Rachel asked her daughter.

"Yes! she arrived a while ago but she needed to freshen up. She went into her room looking very tired." Kristine explained further, to stop her mom from checking up on Rhea and discovering her messed up state.

"Okay...then, I will check on her in the morning. Goodnight...dear.

Goodnight Mom!" Kristine replied.

The moment she heard the click on her Mom's door shut, Kristine quickly got up and knocked on her sister's door. She had to find out tonight about what exactly happened to her sister or she wouldn't be able to sleep. The worry and tension will kill her for sure, so Rhea had better start talking!
