C12 An Unexpected Visitor

After a tedious night from a whole bunch of fans' sudden appearance for his surprise birthday, Eric Kurt lay sleeping dreamily with the morning sunrays peeking through the window and reflecting its radiance on his gorgeous face which glowed in the admiration of the silent mischievous Manager hovering above him in amusement.

After last night's speech to his fans, Jeff left Eric to go back to his villa since Eric had to engage in his usual late-night workouts and doesn't want to be bothered close to his time to bed.

In any case, Jeff had to also prepare himself for bed before the tasks of the day ahead. Since there will be a grand birthday party prepared for Eric later in the day. So Jeff soothed himself with a hot shower before he dreamily entered the fantasy world of sleep.

Back inside Eric's room, Eric came out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist and another towel in his hand, to wipe his upper body. All the fake smiles and happy moods he displayed a while ago in front of his fans, vanished into thin air.

His birthdays were the worst days of his life...a day if possible, he will delete from existence but no! It was a part of him so he had to live with it. Even though he had to fake the happiness which he rarely remembered ever feeling on all his birthdays so far.

Eric wanted to drown himself in his sorrow but stopped himself and headed into his bedroom to have a good sleep, before his party later in the day. He got into his sheets to lie down but his eyes landed on the birthday card on his bedside table which came along with all the birthday presents his fans brought with them to wish him.

Meanwhile, this card was a unique card sent to him on all his birthdays from an anonymous sender. Eric had already assumed who the sender was. It was from a woman he chose to ignore, for all her advances... Better to be safe than sorry!

Even though his fingers itched to open and read the content of the letters, Eric stopped himself and held it in. He closed his eyes to go to bed and promised to add the card to the rest of the unread ones in his study....then he finally drifted into a peaceful sleep.

Good Morning birthday boy!

Jeff finally found the trick to wake his Superstar up after hovering above him for quite a while, by screaming his greeting into the ears of the soundly sleeping Star. Then he moved toward the window to open the curtains and blinds and allow the morning sunshine in its entire brightness into Eric's room, which was another one of his tricks to have Eric out of bed quickly.

The alarm clock on the table rang once more despite Eric's efforts to turn it off completely. He was so tired, he barely slept a wink last night until much later into the night. Eric woke up restless from an awful night!

"Wake wakey...It's morning!"Jeff screamed into Eric's ears once more when he turned to the other side to avoid the sun's rays.

"Just give me a few more minutes!" was Eric's yawning reply.

"It's almost ten already, you have to start preparing for your birthday party at noon." Jeff called out to him.

"It's 8 pm now!..... How do you expect me to start getting ready now? I am not a girl you know." Eric uttered then stretched his arms while yawning from lack of good sleep before he added. "Is my brother back already?".

Jeff, on the other hand, paused in his tracks when he heard Eric's answer about the time of his party.

"You changed the time of your party.. again?..without informing me?" Jeff exclaimed.

Eric hid this news from his manager to avoid getting nagged. He was also not in the mood for further discussions, so he sent Jeff out of his room and returned to his position on the bed, to have some more sleep. Jeff was speechless and stood rooted in the same spot before he prepared to leave, but paused to get back at Eric for his awful attitude.

"One of these days, I will post these habits of yours all over the media. Let's see who would love you or put up with you." Jeff left the room after his speech and closed the door silently behind him, before he opened it again to answer Eric's inquiry about his brother.

"Evans is still not back yet...busy at the hospital I suppose." Jeff shut the door hard in frustration. He had no idea why he can't ignore anything when it comes to Eric. He sometimes behaves like a fanboy himself.

Eric smiled at Jeff's expense and seemed very satisfied at getting rid of him before he ruins his peaceful sleep one more time. But the news about his brother had him worried.

"Evans should surely not miss the birthday party. He was the main reason I had to change the time to tonight...that over-working dummy!" Eric uttered within his breaths in frustration.

However, his thoughts suddenly drifted towards the anonymous cards and wandered over its sender who kept pestering his life, and his sleepy mood from a while ago escaped his eyes. So he got up to freshen up and have his usual cup of morning unique coffee that only he could make.

Eric left his room after his shower wearing a white T-Shirt and a unique comfortable pants. The pants were among his many advertisement products. It became popular all our the country, a few hours after its advert which featured his face as the chosen model.

The product went completely out of stock...all sold out! And he earned millions from that contract, a deal he would never forget amongst many others.

Although, Eric loved the product for himself because of its high-quality fabric_very comfortable and warm...exactly to his liking. Eric left his hair undried after using a towel to just wipe through it. He had always preferred a natural dry to his hair compared to the electric hair driers. He only used those driers because of his busy schedules.

Meanwhile, Eric joyfully came down the stairway towards the kitchen for his coffee, with his still-wet hair and the tight T-shirt that clung tightly to his body, revealing his well-shaped abs. But he suddenly paused in his tracks when he spotted an uninvited guest on his couch then the joyful mood disappeared from his face.

Sofia Pentson!

Sofia rose to her feet when she saw the guy she had patiently been waiting for, to come down from his room. She wanted to surprise him so she sent Jeff to get him to come down without announcing her arrival but he failed.

Disappointed by Jeff's failure, Sofia thought she will have to wait a long time before she will see him, but luck seemed to be on her side...Eric came down sooner than she expected.

"Hey, Eric...Happy Birthday!" Sofia smiled excitedly at a stunned Eric.

Even though her wandering eyes didn't fail to travel down his core, in his gorgeous appearance. From his wet hair to his shaped abs underneath his shirt.

Wow! She just couldn't resist the temptation of staring or ever getting enough of him. He was so perfect in every way.

Eric moved closer to where Sofia stood, trying aimlessly to calm down the fury that built within him from Sofia's uninvited presence. He did not want her to notice his unwelcomed mood, or hurt her feelings in any way. So he faked a lovely smile to hide his disturbing thoughts.

"I am going to fire Jeff this instant!" He silently hissed.

"Hey, Sofia...thank you! what brings you here this early? The party was postponed to tonight, I made sure all the guests were fully informed at the earliest.

"I was already informed. I am only here to personally wish you. I couldn't wait till tonight...Hope you don't mind!" Sofia answered in a calm voice.

Of course, Eric wouldn't mind. It was okay for her to barge into his space just to wish him, and he was supposed to believe that plain reason. But better still, he had no choice but to believe her.

"Will you care for anything? I am going for a cup of coffee." Eric invited.

"Yes!... I would love one too. thanks.

He cursed within his breaths as he made his way towards the kitchen for his coffee. He hated people coming over when he needed some time to himself. Even His housekeeper whom he felt comfortable having around, knew when not to disturb him.

Mandy was an older housekeeper, whom He was already used to for a long time. Apart from preparing his meals, he did almost everything for himself due to his picky nature.

Moments later, Eric came back with two cups of coffee one for Sofia. He sat at the far end of the couch and placed his coffee on the table after seeping a handful. Sofia thanked him when he handed her coffee.

Even though as Sofia claimed, the main purpose for her unannounced visit was to surprise him. Also, since they had to keep up appearances, to develop a strong connection in their currently aired series, Eric couldn't find any excuse to avoid her.

Sofia Pentson had always been a very attractive young girl who built her acting career from scratch. Something he truly admired about her. However, she has been trying to flirt with him since they signed the contract for their drama series, which he failed to acknowledge. His pretense to avoid all her flirtations only appealed to her and she wouldn't miss any opportunity insistently pester him.

Sofia pushed her hair back to expose her beautiful slender neck. Something, she always does at any given opportunity she gets. She had even tried many times to get Eric's attention even On-set.

At some point, a scandal once broke out about the two of them dating each other, which became the talk of every entertainment channel and social media outlet. They had to call an emergency press conference to clear the allegations, with the excuse that, they were just friends and got along well with each other, hence the rumors.

"So what are your plans before the party?" Sofia asked Eric to strike up a conversation.

"Uh, nothing! I just want to rest, stuck at home for now. I was expecting some friends over..... for some drinks. It's all guys' stuff before the party." Eric said, trying to get rid of Sofia.

It was simply a hint to get Sofia to leave, but instead, she pretended deaf to his hints, even though she could sense exactly what he was aiming at. She was a smart woman after all.

"I want to join you guys and hang out...can I?" Sofia asked knowing full well Eric wouldn't deny her. Yet, a frustrated sigh escaped Eric as tried to control his frustrations.

She was very clingy...And he hated clinginess. But in the end, he had no choice but to invite her to join them, after warning her of boredom. Since it's no fun when guys drink.

Sofia broke into an excited smile upon his agreement. She was simply glad to have Eric's company for longer than she thought.

On the other hand, Eric comforted himself for Sofia's persistence. After all, he just needed to tolerate her for a few more hours then she would finally leave. It's no big deal!
