C3 School Prince Charming

Sure enough, Phyllis quickly replied, "Good, and a thumbs up." She was obviously very satisfied. Jeannette pursed her lips and smiled. She closed the page, and a wave of exhaustion washed over her. Phyllis was a hot-tempered person. She was in a hurry to get what she wanted. She had not rested for a few days. She had to rely on coffee to keep herself going. Now that she had completed the task, she was full of energy. Jeannette rubbed her heavy eyelids and wanted to lie down and sleep.

However, she couldn't. After all, they were in the research and development department. From time to time, teachers would come to patrol the place. So, Jeannette thought about it and decided to pack her things and go back to her dormitory. She wanted to take a break before dinner.

"Jeannette!"

When she just walked out of the research room, she heard someone calling her from behind. She turned around and saw that it was her fellow disciple, Ward. He had a bowl cut on his head and wore a pair of thick glasses. When he saw Jeannette, he stopped in his tracks and ran up to her.

"Did you send the summary to Ms. Wilkins?"

Ward asked and saw Jeannette nod her head. He pushed up his glasses in embarrassment. "I have to trouble you every time. I'm really sorry. Next time, give me half of it!"

Jeannette smiled and walked back with him.

"It's okay. You have your own strengths. Your data is good. I'm not as good as you."

Ward was from the University of Haham. He had a double degree in mathematics and economics. He was good at data mining and evidence modeling. In this era, where everything depended on data, all kinds of scientific research were focused on data. Even the number of people eating in the cafeteria could not wait to make a model to study the influence.

Phyllis had a good understanding of her students. She was able to gather the strengths of everyone in the school and use them for her own purposes. It was no wonder that she was able to become a professor at such a young age.

Hearing Jeannette's words, Ward scratched his head and smiled in embarrassment.

"By the way, Jean, have you seen the school forum recently?" Ward suddenly asked.

"No, why?"

"It’s nothing. I just happened to be there today and found out that the students of the undergraduate school were still discussing Noah. I thought you were not there before—" Ward said casually. When he saw Jeannette looking at him, he immediately stopped. It was because her eyes were too bright.

"What are they talking about?" Jeannette asked.

After a few seconds, Ward finally reacted and said, "No, he didn't say anything. He just said that Noah had suddenly returned to Brufia. You know Noah's popularity in our school, so many people have been thinking about him." He looked at Jeannette's expression and asked carefully, "Jeannette, you used to be with Noah. Did he mention this to you in advance?"

Logically speaking, as the only graduate student under Noah's command, Jeannette should have known about the matter. However, she shook her head at Ward.

"No."

Ward was stunned for a moment before he chuckled and said, "Maybe he was in a hurry."

Ward felt that something was strange, but he did not ask any more questions.

The atmosphere between the two of them immediately cooled down when they suddenly mentioned Noah. They did not talk much until they reached Jeannette's dormitory. It was almost time for them to part ways, but Ward suddenly remembered something and called out to her, "Jeannette, Ms. Wilkins said that there will be an academic exchange in the Great Hotel in Torough in a few days. She told us to go and listen to it. I'll send you the schedule later. Don't forget it."

"Alright."

Jeannette looked at him and nodded. Ward then smiled and waved his hand to leave.

After he had completely disappeared, Jeannette entered the dormitory.

University of Haham's graduate school building was built in the early 1960s. It was a five-story brick building with four rooms. Compared to the luxury two-person rooms that other universities provided for their graduate students, it was not very good. However, the school had no choice. As more and more students came in, the campus became more and more crowded. However, the campus was located in the city center, so it was not easy to expand it. Therefore, they could only temporarily leave the students in the campus to slowly improve it in the future.

Because there were no balconies, the girls had to dry their clothes in the corridor. In the rain, Jeannette quickly returned to the dormitory.

There was no one in the dormitory except for her. She was either working in the research room or the laboratory. After Jeannette washed herself, she climbed onto the bed and covered herself with the blanket to rest.

It was the quietest time of the night, but Jeannette could not fall asleep. She opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling through the mosquito net. She then took out her phone and opened the school forum app.

As Ward had said, the discussion was really heated inside. The hot topic of the day was arguing about who could be the Prince Charming of the University of Haham other than Noah. After watching for a while, Jeannette quietly left the app and turned off her phone.

Three months. He had been gone for three months. As he had said, he would never contact her again. Jeannette had long known that she would wake up one day, but when that day really came, she did not expect it to be so hard to bear. There were a few times where she could not hold back and wanted to buy a high-speed ticket to see him in the Bruaprora. But in the end, she endured it.

He would not see her, she knew.

Jeannette smiled pale and closed her eyes. At this moment, her phone rang. It was an email.

Jeannette wanted to look at it again when she woke up, but she was used to opening her phone. It was a meeting schedule sent by Ward. After opening it, Jeannette hurriedly skimmed through it. Just as she was about to close it, she saw a name and stopped there.

Afraid that she had seen wrongly, she turned on the light and confirmed it again.

The agenda showed that the main speaker of the meeting the next morning was Noah.
