C17 Bride

Micah was in his room sorting out papers when a servant entered his room, With breakfast.

He glanced at her for a second and then spoke.

“Put it on the table,” He directed him towards the coffee table beside the window.

The servant placed the try on the table and bowed slightly before leaving.

“Wait!” Micah called out.

“Yes, Master?” The servant jumped in fright as he suddenly called out upon her.

“That-Has Renya already eaten her breakfast?” He spoke in a mumble.

The servant glanced cluelessly at him for a second before realizing who he was talking about.

“That- she was not in her room when the servant visited with her breakfast,” She replied with a fright.

“Not in her room? Then where is she?” He asked.

“That...I don’t know,” She lowered her head and spoke in hesitation.

‘You don’t know? Do you think I pay you peopleso you could fool around here?” He was enraged by the maid’s response.

“Sorry, Master,” She fell to her knees and apologized, her shoulders trembled because she felt the icy gaze penetrating her flesh.

Micah got up and walked out of his room. He was on his way to Renya’s room but his steps paused at the giggles of the staff.

“Did you see how beautiful they looked together?” A few servants giggled as they gossiped into each other's ears.

“I felt so jealous, She had two fine men in her grasp…” Their voices had envy loaded in them.

Micah didn’t bait much attention to them and continued to walk towards the room.

‘Knock…Knock…

Micah patiently knocked on the door and waited outside, there was no response.

“Master, Miss Renya isn’t in there,” A maid walked past him and spoke in a formal tone.

“Then where is she?” He spoke in a harsh voice.

“She...she went out this morning,”

“Went out? Where?”

“That I don’t know I just saw her walk into the elevator this morning,”

Micah huffed in anger and took the elevator to the first floor. The receptionist stood with a bright smile on her face greeting the guest. When her gaze fell on the fuming Micah she gasped in fear and felt like her legs had been sucked out of breath.

“Renya! Did she go out this morning?”

For some reason Micah was acting weirdly, the receptionist gulped down her saliva and replied.

“I just took my shift fifteen minutes ago, But I have heard that Miss Renya went out to watch the sea with…”

The receptionist felt Micah’s face darkened, and she wasn’t able to say the name.

“With… complete the sentence,” Micah spoke.

“With Mr.Levi...She went to watch the sea...I...I am sure they will be back soon,”

She spoke a few comforting words as she felt Micah’s face darken. Micah glanced at the glass exit and then back at the receptionist. He had something to say but then decided not to speak.

Micah sat before his study table and glanced at the clock again and again. His breakfast was lying untouched on the table beside the window.

The maid came back to pick up the empty food plates, Micah looked at her with a serious face and asked.

“Is she back?”

“She is not,” She replied in a mumble.

“Tell me once she is back,”

Micah said and glanced down at his papers with disinterest.

Hours passed and the ticking of the clock was making Micah anxious every passing second. He threw away the file and picked up a book from the shelves to read. His gaze was fixed to the letters on the page but his brain had run off to another dimension.

“Dear! Do you know how scared I was when I was about to fall on the floor yesterday?” Renya’s eyes were watery as she stared at Levi with her love filled eyes.

“Don't be scared, I will be with you whenever you need me…” Levi too dramatically replied.

The wind on the sand was strong that made Renya’s long hair blew with the wind.

“Do you mind if I tie them for you?” Levi held a strand of her curly hair and twirled it in his hand as looked into her eyes seductively.

“Not at all! You can tie it up if you like them that way,” Renya replied with a soft tone.

“Stop!!”

Micah closed the book with force, he had replaced the character of the book with Levi and Renya

“So can I leave then?” The maid behind him was confused for why Micah had asked her to stop talking,

“What? Why are you here?” Micah tried around to see who it was, and when he saw the maid he was surprised as to why he didn’t realise that she was there.

“I was here to tell you that Miss Renya is back,”

She replied politely.

“She is!” Micah walked past the maid and placed the book in her hand before leaving the room.
