C19 Bride

The night went by peacefully which seemed odd.

Knock...Knock...Knock,

Someone was at the door,

But neither of them were fully awake. Eryna heard the knock on the door, and she wanted to get up, but as she tried to pull her body up, she felt a force holding onto her waist and an unusual firm surface below her cheek which definitely was not a pillow. Eryna wriggled and tried to set herself free, still in her sleep when suddenly it struck her.

She felt like her heart had skipped out of her chest as she pulled her body out of the bounds around her waist and distanced herself from the person who was holding on to her. Micah got disturbed by the sudden motion and opened his eyes. Eryna was the first thing that welcomed his eyes which caused him to knit his eyebrows.

“You Pervert! What were you doing to me while I was asleep…” Eryna curled the blanket around her as she asked with a cautious tone. Her eyes were wide open as she looked at him with anger.

Micha stared at her with an exhausted look on his face, He got up and walked towards the door and opened it. A maid walked in with a trolly, It had their breakfast on it. She stared at Micah with a lovely gaze before she walked in and started to put the food on the table. Micah glanced back at Eryna’s confused face and then walked into the washroom.

“What a prick…” Eryna mumbled and threw the blanket away after confirming that no harm had reached her. She picked up her cell phone to check the mails when Micah walked out of the washroom with a towel to dry out his hand. He didn’t look at the floor where the rug was slightly folded forming a loop, Micah’s leg got stuck in the rug and he lost his balance and fell over the maid who was about to push away the trolley.

The dramatic scene took place before Eryna’s eyes and she stared at them with wide-open eyes. The maid along with Micah fell on the ground in a position that looked like they were hugging romantically with their faces just a few inches away from each other.

Eryna took advantage of the scene and quickly clicked a few pictures of them. Micah shuttered and got up quickly the maid was blushing as she fixed her posture. She ran out leaving the trolley in the room.

“Pfft...That was so romantic...Hahaha,” Eryna threw herself on the bed and rolled in laughter that she had held in because of the maid. She held the phone close to her face and continued laughing. Micah stood in the spot frozen.

“Shut up!!!” He roared, and Eryna suddenly placed her hand over her mouth to stop her laughter, but it was for a moment because a snort escaped her nose and she began to laugh again.

Something happened at the company that made them pack up sooner than planned, Ryker postponed the rest of the honeymoon for the future. Eryna packed up her clothes and headed to the car downstairs. Micah was already sitting in the car with a sullen face because of the incident this morning, Eryna had a hard time controlling her laugh. She clenched her teeth and sat in the car beside Micah.

They drove through the empty roads beside the lush green fields, About half an hour later Eryna got a notification on her cell phone. It was a mail, Eryna attentively read through it. Micha glanced at her with a weird gaze as if he was shocked to see her look at something with a serious expression.

Hey! I am sending you a mail to sound professional okay.

So the thing is that the designs you sent me are already out in the market. People are going crazy about it, anD YOU ARE MAKING SOME SERIOUS MONEY OUT OF IT!!!

Okay sorry, I got excited for a moment…

Send me the new designs we talked about.

And I hope you remember that your 3 years contract with Silver Dove is going to end this month. Many companies are begging me to convince you to become their designer but I have kept them on hold until the end of the contract. I will send you the detailed version of the contracts I have received. You can choose amongst them.

And guess what? I will be back in the country soon… ARE YOU EXCITED? I know you are...HEHEHEH.

Okay now send my love to Simba, Tell him Papa will be coming home with a lot of gifts…

Eryna smiled and opened the gallery to check the new design she had to send him, but what her gaze met was the picture of Micah romantically hugging the maid, and an uncontrollable laugh escaped her mouth. Micah glanced at the phone screen to see what was so amusing.

“This…” He clenched his teeth in anger, his hand trembled as his eyes grew red.

He stared at Eryna with a bloodthirsty gaze.

“Delete that right now!” He ordered her.

Eryna stared at him for a second and then replied to him.

“What if I don’t!”

Micah had lost his cool, and he wasn’t in a very good mood. Eryna knew he wouldn’t hurt her because she had Grandpa to back her but what she didn’t expect was...

“Driver stop the car!”

“This!!” The driver too was surprised at why Micah would ask him to stop in the middle of nowhere.

“I said stop the car!”

“Yes!!” The car stopped suddenly.

“Get out!” He was controlling his anger when he spoke those words.

“WHAT?”

“Get out! I said or do you want me to throw you out of here?” He spoke while clenching his teeth.

Eryna stared at him and then the phone screen where she had the iconic picture, She made her mind and got off the car.

“Driver!” Micah mumbled

“But Miss!”

“I said to drive or I will leave you here with her,”

Eryna stood by the roadside with an odd expression, she saw the car drive away until it was completely invisible.

“This guy! Did he really leave me here? Huff...I can’t believe it!” Eryna cursed him

“Guess I will have to walk all the way back to the city,” Eryna glanced at her high heel for a while before she took them off and stood on the rough stinging rod barefooted.

“You! You will regret this...I am going to take my revenge, I will make sure you run out of toilet paper when you go to the washroom next time…” Eryna tried to fix her facial expressions because her feet were hurting.

“Ahh! This is so tiring… I don’t want to walk anymore…” She wined as she walked. It had been twenty minutes since she walked through the road without resting. There was not a single car or a bus that passed through the road. And then finally when Eryna was on the brink of madness she saw a truck. She waved her hands so the driver could see them and luckily the truck stopped.

Eryna ran towards the window to talk to the driver.

“Young missy! What are you doing on the road alone?” An old man with a cowboy had spoken in a sweet fatherly manner.

“I feel out of my car!” Eryna grinned.

“Where do you want to go?” He chuckled and spoke.

“I was headed to the city, where are you going?”

Eryna added.

“I have a fruit farm not very far away from here. Wanna catch a ride. I will be delivering the fruits to the city the first thing in the morning so I can take you there then,” He replied in a jolly manner.

“Hmm…can I not get there any sooner I mean are there no bus terminals here?”

“You might find a ride but I don’t think it will be easier…”

Eryna thought for a while and then agreed, but on the front seat of the truck, there were cartons of eggs. Those were way too many to move.

“Let me clear it up first,” The old grandpa tried to get off the truck but Ertna stopped him.

“I will get onto the trunk,”

“You will?” He spoke with a surprise.

“I always wanted to do it,” She giggled and ran back towards the back of the truck, Her feet were hurt due to the rough road and she carefully stepped into the trunk.

The ride was a rough one but Eryna enjoyed every moment of it. She felt relieved and free as the wind blew her hair in the air. It felt like her worries were washed away and happiness had taken over her.
