C9 Carson’s house

The whole house was waiting for Valerie to proceed to talk, She finally arranged the words in her head and she started talking but this time she turned to face Carmen and asked “ Remember that day I came to your room and you were in the bathroom and I sounded worried?” Carmen didn't waste time answering the question “Yes Val I remember, why?” Valerie breathed subtly and proceeded with her explanation “Well that day I got a call from a stranger whom I had met the night before, he bumped into me and my purse went missing” Carmen retorted “Since that day? Why didn't you say anything ?” Valerie continued talking “Well there's more to it, He started texting me and I thought it was just a harmless prank but now I see it has gone way too far” Gwen couldn't believe that was it to the story because she couldn't wrap her head around why a billionaire just decided to marry her, She couldn't help herself and she asked “is that all to the story ?” Valerie didn't want to give more details but now that Gwen had asked she didn't want to lie either.

“I got a call from him and he asked me to meet him and Wendy's cafe,” Mrs. John asked “The one close by?” Valerie nodded before she continued “I arrived and waited not so long for him, he arrived shortly after and I genuinely thought he intended to give me my purse but he expressed his feelings for me” She paused and looked at their expressions then resumed “ I can assure you I didn't see him ever since that day,” Mr. John said with a firm voice “We will go over to his house tomorrow and no matter what I'll turn down the marriage request” Mrs. John politely asked her husband “Don't you think it's Val’s choice?”

Valerie was short of words but the question was a bit unclear, What were they asked to be precise, Is it to go over or to marry the stranger?”, Mr. John asked to be sure “What exactly are you asking? What is her decision in what matter?” Mrs. John got up and went over to where Valerie was sitting and took placed her hands on Valerie’s shoulder and asked her with a calm voice “What do you want?”

The question still made her battle with her thoughts, she wanted to put an end to this madness once and for all, “Let’s go over and reject his offer” she replied. Gwen couldn’t believe her sister turned down such an offer, She thought maybe it was an opportunity for her to date a billionaire ‘I mean if he’s interested in my Val he will fall head over heels for her she thought

“So it’s settled we’re going over to his house tomorrow, Get ready early so we will put an end to this vexatious situation”

It was the next day and everyone could feel the tension in the house, Everyone was oddly quiet but Carmen had to leave for work she assured them she would be back before it was time for the pick-up, Carmen finished up from work and she left hurriedly because she wanted to pick up a dress for Gwen and she also wanted to arrive on time as she was hurrying she bumped into Assistant Benson just right outside the store and she almost fell but he caught her just in time, She didn’t have time to get into any bickering she just adjusted herself and left to the store, She picked up the dress, Gwen will be so relieved, she thought inwardly and smiled.

Carmen was walking out of the store and she caught a glimpse of the man she had just bumped into waiting by the car, She noticed he was waiting for someone but she didn’t care and she started walking, When Benson saw her he quickly rushed to her, “Hey can I talk to you?” He asked, She just wanted to be quick but she knew he might just keep following her till she listened to him, “What’s the matter?” She said sharply, “Can I get your number and maybe take you out on a date sometime?” After hearing this Carmen became agitated and she left abruptly and didn’t give him an answer. He wondered what he might have said to make her so upset, She got home and saw everyone was already dressed, She had to quickly freshen up and put on a red evening dress that looked so captivating on her, The time came and just like Carson had said they was a driver waiting for them. The driver was waiting outside the car for them, He carefully opened the car door and they all got in, The car was so big it accommodated the whole family, it had drinks in the car, They all knew this was the most expensive car they’d ever entered.

“This will be my car someday,” Gwen said while taking pictures of the luxurious car, Mr. John said “This one or a similar model”,She sharply said “You all know what I mean, laugh now but my dreams will come true,” Mrs. John replied “We know hunny”, They all giggled, Well all except Valerie who had been so quiet but no one wanted to say anything to her just yet. We finally got to his house and just by looking at his humongous gate I could tell that his house was truly massive, We got in and we were greeted by the exterior it had beautiful flowers which were welcoming and luxurious.

Gwen held my hand and whispered “Val this place is huge, Imagine living in this kind of mansion” Everyone knew exactly how Gwen was so it wasn't new she dreamt about living here.

The living room was so beautiful they all gasped, This was the largest building they'd ever entered even the Smiths’s house wasn't as big as this, The living room had the most opulent chandelier, The windows were so large, The stairs were also endless, The living room had delightful paintings and artworks, This is something I can stare at all day Valerie thought.

Benson walked towards the family and saw Carmen, Is this Valerie’s sister? he thought to himself, He didn't pay much attention when he was researching Valerie, Finally Carmen saw him and remembered he was the man from a few hours ago, Perhaps this could be Carson that has been harassing my sister and he also harassed me a few hours ago, what a man, she felt disgusted, Benson decided to keep things professional, “Welcome please this way if you may” Assistant Benson signaled the family to the dining area as they walked their footsteps could be heard all around as they approached the dining room.

Finally, there he was, The man behind all these shenanigans.
