C3 Tragedy

“Prof., next time, we may not be lenient enough to accept just an apology letter. We will demand for a compensation or report the school to the authority for molestation of our girls and unlawful detention.”

The voice of the boy, who was supposed to be the leaders of the group, was annoying, like the buzzing of a mosquito. Now, Jeff looked up to have a good look at him. He smiled when he saw someone he could only describe as an ignorant freshman who was just being exposed to life. Likewise, he ignored them and concentrated on his work while Leon who had his earphone on did not take notice of them.

Then one of the girls, Phina Skye, spoke.

“Do you think that our parents will be happy to hear that? Just hand over the apology letters to us, and we will leave.”

Now, the Vice Chancellor, who was distraught, requested.

“What apology letter are you talking about? You are leaving this school now.”

Then, the girl gave a false smile and warned.

“You know, you cannot do that. This is Mississauga, Toronto, ask questions before you take any action that you will regret later.”

The Vice Chancellor, who was unmindful of her threat, turned to the Chief of the Security and instructed.

“Mr. Morgan, I do not wish to see them in this campus within the next two hours.”

But the girl was not through with digging her grave, so she boasted on.

“I am giving my father a call right now. He will be here in the next ten minutes. The distance between here and the Cherry Fields Oil and Gas Group complex is about one hour, but the moment he gets my call, he will leave everything he is doing and come over. Just watch and see.”

Now, Jeff, who was attracted to their discussion when he heard the name of his company, stopped his work and concentrated on them, which Phina Skye mistook for interest in her.

‘Another Ben-G and Shirley.’

He mumbled. Meanwhile, the Chief of the Security and the Vice Chancellor were fascinated by their claims because they were used to it. But to be on a safe side, the Vice Chancellor asked.

“Is your father the Chairman of the Cherry Fields Oil and Gas Group?”

The girl gave a dominance smirk and answered.

“Now, we are talking.”

Presently, Leon had observed that Jeff was interested in their discussion, so, he unplugged his earpiece and asked.

“Big brother, what’s up?”

Jeff turned to his direction and muttered.

“Just listen to this girl.”

However, the Vice Chancellor was elated with her claim. It was no secret that everybody in Canada, and beyond wished to see the mysterious Chairman of the Cherry Fields Oil and Gas Group, so, having his daughter in his school was to his advantage. Then he remarked.

“In that case, we are honored to have his daughter in our school. I have been wishing to see him in person, at least to appreciate him for all his support to the university. If he will be here in ten minutes, I will be thrilled.”

Eventually, the disoriented Phina, felt some butterflies in her stomach, but she was smart enough to cover up. Then, the Vice Chairman continued.

“For your information, I am going to send a mail to him right away to inform him that his daughter had been expelled from the school. I think that will make him come faster than you can imagine.”

Now, the Vice Chancellor set out to send the mail to the Cherry Fields Oil and Gas Group, while Jeff bent his head and carried on with his work. Then, Mr. Morgan, who had been silent, ventured to speak.

“Call your father.”

Just like the VC, he was never doubtful of her sincerity. He was hoping that the occasion would afford him the opportunity to see the mysterious oil mogul, too. Now, the team of nuisances, who were not expecting that things would go south, turned pale. Soon, Jeff received a mail from the Vice Chancellor. He did not bother to coat words to curry favor from the Chairman, rather, he stated the truth about the situation. Then he read the mail out for the supposed daughter of the Chairman to hear.

(Sir, we are glad that you found our university worthy to send your daughter. Thank you for the support you have given to the school over the years. However, we regret to inform you that we are sending her back forthwith for disobedience to the management. Thank you. Prof. Clement Thompson.)

“Now, step aside and give your father a call. I hope to see him in ten minutes.”

Then, they began to wait for the response of the mail while they waited for the girl to give her father a call. The team of the Freshman Students who have erred in their assumptions looked at each other in disappointment.

Then, one of the boys who had been quiet all through glared at the two spokespersons. He was not an acquaintance of theirs. He was relaxing in the school garden when he saw the team taking selfies. Then, they invited him to help them out, one thing led to the other, and he saw himself in their midst asking for permission from the Chief of the Security to take selfies at the private jet hanger. Now, he was faced with expulsion while he was still on the orientation process. He had no choice but to confess.

“I am sorry, Prof. Thompson….”

The boy had hardly made his point clear when the Vice Chancellor got a response to his mail.

(I don’t have any daughter in your school, and kindly treat any claim of such as an impersonation. Regards.)

Then, Prof. Thompson’s face beamed. Nevertheless, the two girls in the team who had not spoken since borrowed a clue from the second boy and pleaded too.

“I apologize, Prof. Thompson. I don’t have any relationship with them. I just met…”

He ignored their apologies and read the response out to the hearing of all, and the supposed daughter began to fidget. Then, he looked at the boy and advised.
