C123 Huangfu Sinan a Genius!
Xiaoju was a dutiful and loyal maid. As Yuvyuv finished her meal, drank a freshly squeezed juice, and picked up her handbag to leave, Xiaoju hurried over and quietly handed her an umbrella.
Yuvyuv looked puzzled, "Is it going to rain today?"
"Miss, Sixth Master mentioned it before he left. He said the weather forecast predicts heavy rain today and advised you to take an umbrella," Xiaoju explained quickly.
Yuvyuv felt a surge of annoyance. That meddlesome man seemed to have a say in everything. Even when she was just heading out for work, she had to heed his advice.
She glanced defiantly at the umbrella Xiaoju offered, pointing to the bright sunshine outside. "I don't trust that forecast. The sun's out; where's the rain? Besides, the hospital is just across from the apartment. I don't need an umbrella."
Yuvyuv pushed past the umbrella and walked briskly out the door. Xiaoju stood there, holding the umbrella, feeling a bit uneasy. Remembering Sixth Master's instructions, she thought, if it really starts raining, I'll just bring the umbrella to her. I can't let her get wet.
When Yuvyuv arrived at the hospital, she wasn't early, but she wasn't late either. She had been interning there for a week but hadn't officially joined the forensic department yet. Mr. Chen was probably worried that a young woman like her might be overwhelmed by the department's environment and get scared.
So, for the past few days, she had been shadowing the head of the forensic department to get a general understanding of the hospital's workings. Tasks like transcribing forensic reports weren't challenging for her. It was just writing, after all.
However, the reports were filled with terms like bones, hearts, eyeballs, tongues, and skulls—various human organs. Yuvyuv wasn't frightened since she hadn't seen the actual specimens, but reading about these organs did make her a bit uneasy.
She arrived at the office this morning, ready to sit at her desk and copy evaluation reports as usual.
The department head approached with a smile, "Yuvyuv, starting today, you're officially interning in the forensic department. I've selected one of our youngest and most talented forensic professors for you to assist."
"What? So soon?" Ye Yuvyuv was caught off guard.
She thought she'd be copying reports for at least another month, enjoying the leisurely pace. She couldn't help but think that Huo Lingxiao, that big jerk, just couldn't stand to see her at ease. Jerk!
Ye Yuvyuv fumed internally.
Soon, she had to follow the department head to meet the young and promising forensic genius, who had graduated top of his class from an American medical university and was highly sought after by major hospitals—Sinan Huangfu.
This man, only 25 years old, was a medical prodigy, a true genius in the field.
As the department head spoke more and more enthusiastically about Sinan Huangfu, it was as if he was describing a rare treasure that belonged in the heavens, not on earth.
Yet, Ye Yuvyuv felt no particular excitement about this person, except for his last name, "Huangfu." It seemed quite unique.
Until Ye Yuvyuv met him in person.
Oh yes, in person.
Ye Yuvyuv blurted out, "What a freak!"
In the forensic lab stood a man about 6 feet tall, with a lean build and naturally curly dark brown hair. He was working on a mummified body with a large curved needle, either stitching or extracting something.
Hearing footsteps at the door, he looked up, and a momentary shadow cast a cold, eerie light in his eyes.
Ye Yuvyuv shivered, a chilling sensation creeping down her spine, as if the room itself was filled with an eerie, ghostly presence.
A chilling voice, laced with an eerie presence, echoed without hesitation, "Get out."
Ye Yuvyuv's feet trembled, almost causing her to slip. Her wide, terrified eyes finally focused on the man standing before an indistinguishable corpse. Her breath caught, and with cold lips, she whispered, "Monster!"
The air seemed to freeze, as if icy droplets hung suspended, creating an oppressive, eerie stillness. Ye Yuvyuv stared at the man by the operating table, as if seeing an unreal figure from another world.
Inwardly, she marveled, "This person is too beautiful, so stunning it's suffocating, confusing, and impossible to discern if they're male or female. Such beauty seems otherworldly."
Is this a man? Ye Yuvyuv couldn't decide. His eyes were long and enchanting, glowing with an ethereal light. Below his prominent nose were lips more alluring than a woman's, and his skin was so smooth and flawless it could make anyone envious.
Especially striking were his hands, holding a surgical needle—slender, pale, and more beautiful than any woman's hands, even more elegant and refined.
He was too enchanting, too unreal.
Ye Yuvyuv was mesmerized, thinking, "How can someone be so bewitching? This must be a demon, an escapee from the underworld, here to cause chaos."
Huangfu Sinan, initially with a stern expression, felt an inexplicable itch at the little girl's exclamation of "monster," his demeanor shifting to one of captivating allure.
He tossed aside the large curved needle, removed his disposable gloves, and with a few long strides, stood before the girl. With his slender fingers, he gently lifted Ye Yuvyuv's chin, smiling with a bewitching charm, "Little girl, my throne is in need of a servant. How about you?"
After Sinan finished speaking, the young girl in front of him looked as if she'd seen a ghost. She turned on her heel and bolted, shouting, "He's definitely a monster, straight out of a fairy tale!"
Sinan couldn't help but burst into laughter. With a quick motion, he caught the startled girl, who was trying to escape like a frightened little sprite.
He glanced at the department head with amusement. "Is this the assistant you mentioned a few days ago?"
"Sinan, don't joke around. This is Miss Yuvyuv, the daughter of Director Ye. She'll be your intern assistant starting today. Teach her well and don't lose your temper with her," the department head said, trying to sound stern as he addressed the hospital's resident genius.
"Oh, so the little sprite has quite the background!" Sinan remarked nonchalantly, holding onto Yuvyuv's collar without any intention of letting go.
The department head quickly moved to rescue Yuvyuv, but as he reached out, Sinan's cold, piercing gaze stopped him in his tracks, making him hesitate.
Reluctantly, the department head withdrew his hand and put on a serious face. "Sinan, Yuvyuv isn't like your previous assistants. Let her go; you'll scare her."
