C29 Fifth Sister She Deserved to Die!

"Sir, the manager's greed has led him to take on such a dangerous deal. This isn't just any noble lady; it's the Fifth Miss of the Ye family," Tony the butler said gravely.

"The Fifth Miss of the Ye family? Are you saying that little troublemaker is her?" Henry's blue eyes lit up as he finally realized who the little devil was.

Seeing the gleam in his young master's eyes, Tony felt a pang of concern. He knew his master was likely interested in the Fifth Miss and quickly cautioned, "Sir, you mustn't get involved with her."

"Why not?" Henry almost blurted out, but was met with Tony's stern gaze.

"Sir, you should be aware that the entire region is under the control of Great Marshal Huo."

"And do you know who the Finance Secretary is? He's none other than the sworn brother of Great Marshal Huo."

"And that Fifth Miss of the Ye family is the most favored daughter, the apple of the Finance Secretary's eye. No one dares to even touch her."

Tony's voice grew more serious, "Yet that foolish manager dared to throw her in a coffin and take her to the underground market for auction, thinking the out-of-town visitors wouldn't notice. But as luck would have it, that very night, Young Marshal Huo rescued her."

"Rescued by Young Marshal Huo? You mean Huo himself?" Henry caught the key detail and suddenly cursed in frustration, "Damn it, why didn't anyone tell me about this hero-saving-the-damsel event?"

Tony raised an eyebrow, unable to look at his young master. Only Henry could get away with such foolish talk; anyone else would be gone in a second.

Even the tall, black-clad bodyguards behind them couldn't help but twitch their facial muscles.

Tony felt compelled to remind him again, "Sir, although we're in the leased territory, the real power in this region is the Huo family. We're here to do business, not make enemies."

Henry paused, then said in a serious tone, "And don't forget, before coming here, the old Count gave you and the eldest son an order: whoever earns more money within three years will be the future heir of the Louis family."

Hearing this, Henry shrugged, "I don't care about being an heir. I've realized that staying here is pretty good. If my brother wants that position, let him have it..."

Henry adopted a lazy demeanor, but Butler Tony interrupted sharply, "Young Master!"

Startled by the butler's tone, Henry glanced at his subordinates and immediately stopped, "Alright, alright. Now that we've uncovered the truth, you handle the cleanup. I'm tired and need to rest."

With that, he waved everyone away with a look of annoyance.

Once the hall was empty, he quietly called out, "Tom, come out."

"Here I am, sir."

A sharp-looking young man quickly appeared, jogging over to Henry with a grin, "Sir, I've found out what Miss Ye likes. It's all recorded here."

"Hey, you really know how to get things done. Not bad, let me see." Henry's fatigue vanished as he eagerly grabbed the paper Tom handed over.

After a moment, Henry's eyes lit up with excitement, "Tom, call the estate and have them send the best coffee beans. A big bag. No, a big barrel, as soon as possible."

"Yes, sir, I'll make the call right away." Tom responded with a smile, matching Henry's enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, Ye Yuvyuv sat in a coffee shop, staring at a cup of coffee that had long gone cold, locked in a staring contest with the person across from her for a good half-hour.

Unbeknownst to her, the French heir she had whipped earlier that morning was busy finding out her likes and dislikes, planning a surprise for her.

"Ugh!"

Ye Yuvyuv's eyes were sore from staring, and she finally gave in. She rubbed her eyes and looked across at him with resignation. "Alright, Ye Xiaoqi, you've got me. What do you want so you won't tell Dad?"

Ye Zijun glanced over, "Promise me you won't cause any more trouble."

"Fine, I promise I won't cause any more trouble. Can we go home now? I'm starving." Ye Yuvyuv pointed to her stomach, feeling defeated.

Darn it, this kid! If all he wanted was a promise, why did she waste half an hour in a staring contest with him?

"Just saying it isn't enough. I don't believe you," Ye Zijun said nonchalantly.

Oh, come on!

Ye Yuvyuv raised her hand, ready to slam it on the table. But remembering everything from her past life, she felt a twinge of guilt and tried to suppress her irritation. Grinding her teeth, she said, "Ye Xiaoqi, don't push it."

"Compared to the trouble you cause, I'm not asking much," Ye Zijun shrugged with a little smirk.

Darn it!

What was she supposed to do, hit him? No, she had to hold back. She owed this brat a lot from her past life.

Ye Yuvyuv took a deep breath, forced a generous smile, and spread her hands. "Alright, tell me, what kind of promise will make you believe me?"

"Write a guarantee," Ye Zijun replied, as if he had been waiting for her to give in.

His bright eyes flashed with a hint of surprise, sensing that his sister was acting differently today. The old her would have been defiant, even if caught red-handed. But today?

Ye Zijun was puzzled, though his young face didn't show it.

Across from her, Yuvyuv was so angry she could have hit someone. This timid kid was really asking for it. Yuvyuv weighed her options. It was just a piece of paper, right? Agreeing now and going back on it later wouldn’t make much difference, so she was about to nod and agree with her brother.

Suddenly, she felt something strange behind her.

“Wait.”

Her instincts from a past life kicked in, and Yuvyuv quickly gestured for silence. She swiftly moved over the table, grabbing Zijun’s hand and pulling him to the left just in time.

“Fifth Sister!” Zijun instinctively clung to Yuvyuv, his dark eyes catching something that made them flash coldly.

Then, they heard it.

A loud “thud!” followed by a woman’s piercing scream that could shatter eardrums, “Ah!”

A woman had fallen to the floor in a very awkward manner.

The customers in the shop were startled.

What was even more shocking was that as the woman hit the ground, the large cup of scalding coffee she had been holding spilled everywhere, still steaming as it hit the floor.

Hiss!

If that had splashed on someone, it would have burned right through their skin.

The onlookers gasped, some women clutching their chests in fright, whispering, “That was terrifying. If it had hit someone’s face, it would have been disfiguring.”

Hearing this, everyone turned to look at the siblings who had narrowly escaped harm.

“She deserved it,” Zijun said quietly, staring at the woman on the floor.

Silence fell over the room.
