C43 The Demon Finally Revealed Its True Appearance!

“Ugh...” Yuvyuv gasped, her breath stolen away by the man.

He kissed her with the ferocity of a wild beast, his lips dominating hers, leaving her mind in a dizzying haze.

“You jerk, you shameless brute, let me go!” Yuvyuv's eyes flared with anger as she struggled to voice her protest.

But the man, transformed into a beast, ignored her pleas, capturing her lips with even more intensity. His gaze was as chilling and deep as an ancient, dark abyss, threatening to consume her very soul.

“Ugh, Huo Lingxiao, you bastard!”

Yuvyuv realized she had truly angered the demon before her, feeling his menacing presence closing in.

Suddenly, she felt a cold rush as her clothes were ripped away, leaving her trembling in fear.

Instinctively, driven by the will to survive, she gasped for air and cried out, “Huo Lingxiao, military secret base.”

Bang!

In the next moment, Yuvyuv was shoved onto the bed, her breath ragged as she met his cold, scrutinizing gaze.

In that instant, she thought, “The demon has finally shown his true colors.”

This demon, stained with the scent of blood from the depths of hell, once unleashed, could lead to a scene of utter devastation.

The terrifying memories of past bloodshed and the man's fearsome, demonic presence sent chills down Yuvyuv's spine, as if she were plunged into icy waters, her body shivering uncontrollably.

"How do you know about that place?" Huo Lingxiao's long fingers gripped Yuvyuv's pale jaw like a demon's grasp, his voice chilling and eerie.

Outside, a few crows flew by, their cawing sending shivers down her spine.

Yuvyuv felt her scalp tighten, her eyelids fluttering as she tried to avert her gaze, pressing her lips together tightly, too afraid to meet the man's cold, piercing stare.

She turned her head, remaining silent.

"Girl, do you think staying quiet will save you?" Huo Lingxiao's grip on her chin tightened, causing Yuvyuv to wince in pain.

She endured it silently, knowing that any word she uttered would lead this man to label her a spy and have her thrown into a military prison.

If she were caught as a spy, her father and the entire family would suffer because of her.

That couldn't happen.

Heaven had granted her a second chance at life, and she couldn't bring disaster upon her family again.

She turned her small, pale face, glaring defiantly at the terrifying figure before her.

Finally, her tightly pressed lips trembled as she spoke, "What if I say I overheard it by accident? Would you believe me?"

The man shook his head decisively, staring at her with a look that suggested he thought she was a fool.

Yuvyuv felt a lump in her throat, realizing that tonight was far from over.

She had lost any chance of escape.

It was foolish of her to use past military secrets to threaten this demon in front of her.

She had forgotten his terrifying temper and cruel methods.

With a heavy heart, she closed her eyes, sighing, wondering if tonight would be her last.

Ah, she was indeed as reckless as in her past life.

This time, she didn't need anyone else to make a move; she was on the verge of bringing disaster upon herself.

Regret, injustice, resentment.

Huo Lingxiao stared coldly at the young girl in front of him, his emotions a complex mix. Since the day he unexpectedly rescued her from the nightclub, only to have her use the military base as leverage, he had harbored doubts about her.

Today, she challenged him again, provoking the questions he intended to postpone until after she recovered. This time, he wouldn't let her off so easily. Despite the fact that this troublesome girl had a certain uniqueness to him, as a major general leading thousands of soldiers, he couldn't afford any misjudgment that might endanger their lives.

Anything that could potentially threaten the army, no matter how minor, wouldn't be overlooked. And this girl had mentioned that crucial place more than once.

He stood up abruptly, his strong hand gripping Yuvyuv's arm as he spoke in a deep voice, "Come with me!"

Instinctively, Yuvyuv tried to shrink back in fear. But how could she, a mere girl, resist the cold, hard grip of a man with the demeanor of a seasoned soldier?

As she hesitated, he swiftly pulled her off the bed, his hand firmly on her waist. His voice was steely, "Come quietly with me now, and I won't touch your family. If you resist—go ahead and see what I, Huo Lingxiao, will do."

"Don't harm my family. I'll go with you," Yuvyuv said, her voice catching in her throat as she looked at him, her face pale. "I'll go with you. Just leave my family alone."

She repeated herself, seeking his assurance.

She knew that even though this man acted with wild aggression, once he made a promise, he wouldn't go back on it. She had already risked everything, and she couldn't let her father, her sister, or the entire family get dragged into this again.

"Alright, I promise not to touch your family for now," Huo Lingxiao said, glancing at the girl who was clearly scared but stood firm, demanding a promise from him with a brave face.

If she wanted it, he would give it to her. After all, the situation wasn't entirely clear yet.

Huo Lingxiao's grip on the girl's waist loosened slightly. He noticed she was only wearing long-sleeved pajamas and frowned. With one swift motion, he pulled off his dark blue military jacket and tossed it over her head. "Put it on, don't catch a cold. It'll be a hassle later."

Ye Yuvyuv was taken aback by his unexpected gesture. The jacket landed on her head, and her initial fear and worry turned into a surge of frustration. What was this devil of a man trying to do? Did he think she was easy to bully just because she ended up in his hands?

She wanted to slap this jerk across the face. But she couldn't. Her innocence hadn't been proven, and if she angered him now, not only would she suffer, but her father and the entire family would be in jeopardy.

Biting her lip in frustration, she yanked the jacket off her head and tried to shove it back at him, muttering, "I'm not cold. Take it back."

If he truly cared, why didn't he let her change before taking her away? Clearly, his devilish nature was showing without restraint.
