C60 Foreign Female Fairy

The French woman glanced back just in time to see Yuvyuv's furrowed brow and chuckled, "Miss, are you upset over a man?"

She was merely teasing, but it hit right at the heart of Yuvyuv's current mood.

Yuvyuv was taken aback, her eyes cold as she looked up, her gaze icy and unyielding. "What are you talking about? I don't understand. Isn't this place supposed to sell dresses? Or do you also enjoy prying into your customers' private lives?"

Her demeanor was as haughty and imperious as that of a spoiled heiress.

She didn't care if this woman thought of her as a pampered, entitled young lady. But she couldn't let this woman easily glimpse into her inner thoughts.

This French woman had truly underestimated her.

Yuvyuv's face was a mask of cold arrogance, yet inside, she was on high alert.

Xiaoju noticed her mistress's icy expression and immediately stepped in front, hands on her hips, trying to muster the courage not to be intimidated by this blue-eyed foreign woman.

Xiaoju glared and snapped, "What nonsense are you spouting in front of my lady? Do you think you can just pry into her life?"

Xiaoju put on a fierce front, though her legs were already trembling.

Yuvyuv looked at Xiaoju, amused and touched. This girl was as loyal and protective as ever, not allowing anyone to criticize her.

In the past, it was because... in the end, Xiaoju met a tragic fate.

Yuvyuv closed her eyes coldly, grasped Xiaoju's hand, and with a blank expression, turned to the French woman. "I don't think this shop has anything I like. We'll be leaving."

With that, she pulled Xiaoju along to leave.

But they were quickly stopped. "Miss, please don't be upset. I just... I just admire you so much that I overstepped. Please forgive me."

A French woman suddenly blocked the staircase, looking anxious just as Yuvyuv was about to lose her temper. In a hurry, the woman ran to the back, grabbed a dress, and pressed it against Yuvyuv, saying, "This dress is for you, as an apology."

Her face, usually pale, was flushed with urgency. Her previously fluent English now had a hurried French accent, making her words a bit unclear. Still, Yuvyuv understood.

She looked at the dress being pressed against her, raising an eyebrow but not moving. Xiaoju, not understanding the French-accented English, thought the woman meant harm to her lady. She widened her big round eyes and fiercely tried to push the French woman away.

Uh-oh. Xiaoju was too petite to move her, as the French woman was quite tall.

Yuvyuv's initial anger at being intruded upon eased slightly. She gestured to Xiaoju not to worry and raised an eyebrow at the overly enthusiastic French woman. "Excuse me, have we met before?"

The French woman quickly shook her head, seemingly afraid of angering Yuvyuv further.

Yuvyuv smiled lightly. "Since we haven't met before, and we don't know each other, why are you being so familiar and offering me this dress?"

She glanced down at the dress, a nude pink creation made of fine, lightweight silk chiffon, crafted with exquisite detail. Even the neckline was adorned with beautiful crystal rhinestones, sparkling brilliantly. It was the kind of dress that would captivate any woman.

Even Yuvyuv, who was usually indifferent to dresses, had to admit—it was truly a masterpiece, undoubtedly a high-end gown.

This is a stunningly beautiful dress.

"Miss, please don't misunderstand. I just feel a certain connection with you. Since you also enjoy Sharil's songs and are so beautiful, I couldn't help myself. Please forgive my boldness and rudeness today."

The French woman hurriedly explained, extending her hand. "If you don't mind, can we be friends? My name is Merly."

Her bright blue eyes were filled with excitement and worry as she looked directly at Ye Yuvyuv.

Ye Yuvyuv was momentarily taken aback. She hadn't expected such an unusual explanation from this French woman. Just because she mentioned liking that French singer's songs? Oh, this woman would be disappointed to know she only liked listening to them while enjoying desserts. To say she was a fan of the singer? Sorry, but Ye Yuvyuv never had a strong attachment to any entertainment. What she liked today might be discarded tomorrow.

However, the earnest look in the French woman's pure blue eyes wasn't off-putting. Ye Yuvyuv smiled slightly, her slender fingers gently holding the exquisite dress Merly offered. She lifted her pretty face and gave Merly a rare, gracious smile. "Sure, I'd be happy to."

"That's wonderful! Miss, your acceptance of my gesture is the best thing that's happened to me today," Merly said excitedly, opening her arms to hug Ye Yuvyuv.

Xiaoju quickly rushed in front of her lady, nervously blocking the way and loudly exclaimed, "What are you doing? My lady is not someone you can just hug at will. Stop right there."

Merly was momentarily frozen by Xiaoju's small but loud presence. But she seemed to understand, glanced at Xiaoju, then looked past her to Ye Yuvyuv, spreading her hands. "I just wanted to give your lady a friendly hug. I didn't mean any harm."

Merly's deep blue eyes flickered with sadness. Xiaoju couldn't bring herself to meet Merly's gaze. However, Yuvyuv smiled and patted Xiaoju on the shoulder, turning to Merly with a grin. "We tend to be a bit reserved with our emotions around new acquaintances. Only with close friends do we share hugs."

"Oh, I see," Merly's sad eyes brightened with a hint of a smile.

Hearing the sound of guests arriving downstairs, Yuvyuv politely excused herself. "Merly, thank you for the dress tonight. I had a wonderful time."

As she passed by Merly, her eyes twinkled with a playful glint. "Your sister, Sharil, sings beautifully. With a sister like you as her biggest fan, she's a lucky girl."

With that, Yuvyuv turned away, taking Xiaoju by the hand and carrying the neatly folded dress in its bag as they left.

Standing at the top of the stairs, Merly watched the charming young woman walk away, her hand covering her mouth in surprise.

After a moment, Merly exclaimed with delight, "What a beautiful young lady! She's the most brilliant and lovely girl I've ever met, just like a magical fairy."
