While Yuvyuv was lost in thought, a sudden gasp erupted around her. A server exclaimed, "Oh my gosh, this lady just spilled a whole cup of coffee on Mr. Henry!"

Hearing the commotion, Yuvyuv snapped back to reality and asked, "Henry, what happened?"

Even though she wasn't fond of this spoiled rich kid, he did step in to help her, so she couldn't just ignore him.

"Oh, my angel, that awful woman went crazy and dumped coffee all over me. She's bullying me," Henry complained. Despite his towering, robust frame typical of a foreigner, he looked like a wounded puppy, his big blue eyes brimming with tears as he gazed at Yuvyuv.

Yuvyuv was so startled by Henry's demeanor that she got goosebumps and almost blurted out, "What the heck!" This spoiled rich kid was trying to ruin her reputation. Why was he acting like a lost puppy looking for its mom, and why was he doing it in front of her?

She held back her urge to kick this crazy rich kid away, finally managing to keep her cool. With disdain, she brushed off Henry, who was clinging to her sleeve and whining, "Get lost. I'm not playing with you lunatics."

Yuvyuv shot a disgusted glance at Henry and Su Xiaozi, then left them behind. She didn't care if they started fighting; she grabbed the stunned Xiaoju and quickly dashed out of the coffee shop. She was terrified that if she didn't hurry, the crazies might catch up to her.

As she ran, Yuvyuv thought to herself that she must have skipped checking her horoscope today. Otherwise, how could she have run into not one but two complete lunatics and fools? Shaking her head like an old sage, she sighed, "In this chaotic world, there sure are a lot of crazies and idiots."

Yuvyuv was nodding earnestly, her mind focused. Unbeknownst to her, as she hurriedly pulled her maid along towards a restaurant, a military jeep parked diagonally across the street.

In the back seat, a man with an air of cold allure lounged lazily, smoking a cigar. His handsome face turned towards the window, his dark eyes sharp like a hawk's, instantly spotting a familiar small figure. Like the wind, she dashed past with a youthful energy.

The man stubbed out his cigar, his lips curling into a cold remark, "Little rascal, just one night back home and you're restless. Sneaking out at night, what mischief are you planning behind my back?"

The officer driving the jeep was startled, quickly offering a nervous smile, "Sir, maybe Miss Yuvyuv just needed some fresh air after being cooped up for days."

"Ha, a young lady needing fresh air at night," the man scoffed, tugging at his uniform collar and loosening the buttons of his white shirt underneath. He spoke with a heavy voice, "Follow her. Let's see what kind of wild fun she's up to tonight."

"Yes, sir, right away." The officer didn't dare say more, having caught a glimpse of his superior's darkened expression in the rearview mirror. He hurriedly opened the jeep door and set off in pursuit.

Back in the jeep, the man lit another cigar. His face, shrouded in the flickering light and smoke, appeared mysterious and profoundly enigmatic. He exhaled a heavy smoke ring, his long fingers tapping on his knee, and his lips curled into a sardonic smile, "Little rascal, you'd better not be sneaking out to meet some pretty boy. Otherwise, I'll deal with that pretty boy first, skin him alive, break his bones, and then take care of you for being so disobedient. Hmph!"

The man extinguished his cigar with a cold demeanor, plunging the car into darkness, leaving only his angry presence lingering in the chilly air around the vehicle.

10 PM.

The night was pitch-black.

In the heart of a bustling street stood a grand hotel called "New World Hotel," its lights shining brilliantly. It was the peak of business hours.

The hotel had three floors. The first floor was a large dining hall for patrons, capable of accommodating hundreds of tables. The second floor housed private rooms for guests who preferred dining in solitude. The third floor was a modern design, aimed at attracting young socialites who had studied abroad. This entire floor was reserved as a banquet hall for hosting parties.

The third floor's decor was innovative, featuring trendy elements favored by the young elite, such as a crystal dance floor, vibrant lighting, a bar for entertainment, and waitstaff trained in Western etiquette. They greeted guests with phrases like "lovely lady" and "gentleman," occasionally throwing in a French word or two.

This place was a haven for those who fancied themselves worldly and cultured, rejecting traditional norms. Here, they could enjoy themselves to the fullest.

The owner even had individual, soundproof rooms built on the top floor. As for their purpose? Well, those who came here for a good time knew the thrill of it all without needing to say it out loud.

Yuvyuv had arrived early at the "New World Hotel" and was exploring the premises.

Since last night, the Second Wife had been scheming to coax her and her older sister into attending some kind of modern masquerade ball. The venue was the third-floor banquet hall of the "New World Restaurant."

Ye Yuvyuv thought, since the Second Wife was so eager to get her here, there must be a carefully planned surprise waiting for her. If she didn't show up, wouldn't that waste all the Second Wife's efforts?

Scoffing, Ye Yuvyuv stood on the rooftop, the night breeze playing with her silky hair, her eyes reflecting a cool, distant light. She spoke softly, "Second Wife, since you're so eager to make your move, don't let me down." A cold smile played on her lips.

Her eyes swept over the small, separate rooms on the rooftop. With ears perked, she suddenly crouched and moved toward a distant, closed-off room.

Before entering the restaurant, she had settled Xiaoju in a nearby teahouse. Now, she had been exploring the restaurant alone for over an hour. She had never been here in her past life and was unfamiliar with the place, so she decided to scout it out in advance. She thought there might be unexpected surprises.

Look, when she accidentally entered the restaurant, she caught a glimpse of a familiar figure, which conveniently led her here.
