C95 It Was Already a Corpse!

Tom found Miss Yuvyuv to be quite extraordinary. She was straightforward and genuine—she liked what she liked and didn't pretend otherwise. She was decisive and bold, with impressive skills. To him, she seemed like a modern-day warrior, full of grace and strength.

Tom sighed inwardly, realizing how misleading assumptions can be. In truth, Miss Yuvyuv was quite approachable when she wasn't upset or angry.

Unbeknownst to Ye Yuvyuv, Tom had been admiring her quietly during their journey. If she knew, she might have been shocked and playfully warned him, "Please, don't be fooled by my occasional sweetness. You haven't seen me truly lose my temper yet—I can be quite fierce when provoked."

The car ride was smooth, and after about twenty minutes, they stopped on a street in what looked like an old industrial area.

"Miss Yuvyuv, please follow me," Tom said as he jumped out of the car, intending to open the door for her like a gentleman.

But! Ye Yuvyuv had already opened the door herself and gracefully hopped out. She stood in front of the car, eyeing the row of nondescript, abandoned buildings that resembled an old factory with a hint of caution and curiosity.

After all, she wasn't that familiar with Henry. She trusted him to handle some matters, but it wasn't unconditional trust. She raised an eyebrow, quickly scanning the surroundings, and asked quietly, "Are you sure this is the place?"

"This is it. Bringing someone to the Night Paris would be too conspicuous, especially since the dance hall gets busy at night. This person is a bit of a troublemaker, and someone might recognize him. So, my boss decided to bring him to this abandoned factory instead," Tom explained, surprised by Ye Yuvyuv's vigilance.

Pointing to the abandoned factory, Tom said, "This place was bought by my boss a while ago and has been left unused. We have someone watching over it, so even though it looks rundown, no one dares to trespass."

Yuvyuv glanced around, her eyes flickering with curiosity. She had a feeling this wasn't just an abandoned factory; it seemed to serve another purpose. However, she was here for a specific reason and didn't have the time to investigate further, but she made a mental note of it.

Her hand subtly rested on her hip, where a Browning pistol was concealed. Since her return, Yuvyuv had learned not to trust anyone easily. With heightened vigilance, she followed Tom into the factory.

"Boss, Miss Yuvyuv is here," Tom announced as they reached a room resembling a warehouse, knocking three times on the door.

Inside, there was a sudden clatter, like a chair being knocked over. The door swung open urgently, revealing Henry's tall, sturdy figure, blocking the entrance like a small mountain.

"Yuvyuv, you finally showed up! Do you know it's been three days, 11 hours, 22 minutes, and 33 seconds since I last saw you?" Henry exclaimed, spreading his arms wide, ready to envelop her in a bear hug.

Yuvyuv quickly sidestepped, narrowly avoiding the embrace of the big, burly man. She scoffed, "Step aside. I'm here on business. Don't get in my way, or don't bother showing up in front of me again."

Henry, despite his imposing stature, suddenly looked like a scolded child, his blue eyes blinking with mock hurt. "Yuvyuv, you're so mean. You disappear for days, and when you finally show up, you're all grumpy. You're such a big meanie."

Yuvyuv was momentarily speechless, resisting the urge to smack him. Fortunately, Henry, sensing her rising irritation, wisely stepped aside.

Eagerly trailing behind Yuvyuv, a pair of bright blue eyes fixed on her like a clingy child. If Yuvyuv didn’t have important matters to attend to, she would have definitely turned around and knocked some sense into him.

“Where is he?” Yuvyuv asked as she walked into the warehouse.

“Miss Yuvyuv, he’s right here.” Tom quickly moved to a support pillar, pulling back a burlap sack to reveal a face so beaten it was unrecognizable, swollen like a pig’s head.

“Did you guys do this?” Yuvyuv asked, eyeing the battered face.

She tilted her head slightly, looking at Tom. Just then, a handsome face appeared over her shoulder, “Little Yuvyuv, I...”

Smack! Yuvyuv’s hand landed on the face leaning on her shoulder, dismissing him, “Move aside, I wasn’t talking to you.”

“In response to Miss Yuvyuv, it was the young master who ordered us to do this. He said this guy must have offended you, so we should rough him up a bit. Not too much, just enough to leave the final decision to you.” Tom explained quickly.

“Little Yuvyuv, see how good I am to you? You won’t even let me speak, I’m so hurt.” Henry’s large head leaned in again, his handsome face seemingly trying to get closer to Yuvyuv’s.

This time, Yuvyuv’s swat was even more forceful, sending Henry reeling in pain, nearly to tears.

Tom and the others winced on behalf of their young master, but no one dared to speak up.

Yuvyuv shot a warning glare at the troublesome Henry before approaching the man beaten to a pulp. She ordered the man in black nearby, “Wake him up.”

The man in black glanced at Henry.

Henry kicked him lightly, “Idiot, didn’t you hear what my little Yuvyuv said? Get to it.”

"Yes, sir," the man in black replied respectfully, quickly fetching a bucket of water to wake up the man on the floor, who looked like he'd been through a meat grinder.

"Ah!" A scream tore through the air as the man, his face swollen beyond recognition, opened his eyes.

Terrified, he began to plead loudly, "Gentlemen, please, spare my worthless life. I must be mistaken for someone else. We have no old grudges or recent disputes. Though I, Huang San, have been around the block, I don't recall crossing paths with you. Please, give me a chance to live..."

Yuvyuv watched Huang San, who was desperate to bow but couldn't because he was tied up, begging for his life.

She thought to herself that he was rather perceptive, realizing these people had no personal vendetta against him and was desperately trying to save his skin.

Unfortunately for Huang San, the moment he dared to reach for the Ye family's money, he sealed his fate.

Yuvyuv, with an air of cold detachment, looked at Huang San as if he were already a dead man, sending a chill down the spine of the man in black beside her.

"Huang San, look up. Do you recognize me?" Yuvyuv's voice was icy and clear.
