"Yeah, it's really not great." Qiao Zi looked at the photos, feeling utterly distressed. She didn't want to keep living there, but she was worried that if she left, who knows what kind of trouble he might get into over the next year. No, she had to endure it, she just had to!

Each photo had a sensor installed, so if any were taken off the wall, it would trigger the sensor. The person in charge of this would be alerted.

Today, there was a meeting in the Human Resources Department. Since they had already finished processing the end-of-month payroll a couple of days ago, the department was now focused on proposing a new talent development plan.

Tong Fu presented her plan, explaining it thoroughly, and received unanimous praise from everyone. The HR manager, Lee Li, was particularly impressed. "Very good, Tong Fu. I didn't expect you to understand the company so well, especially since you just joined. I'm really surprised. Do you have someone guiding you?"

"No, I compiled this information based on feedback from our team. I studied this in college, so I have some background knowledge," Tong Fu replied, thinking to herself that she couldn't possibly admit Fenng Yun had helped her.

Lee Li was somewhat skeptical but said, "Great, since that's the case, let's vote on these plans. First, those in favor of Tong Fu's plan, please raise your hand." It was nearly a unanimous decision, while support for the other plans was mixed.

Tong Fu couldn't have been happier.

At lunch, the team decided to celebrate the success of Tong Fu's proposal by heading to the restaurant downstairs. Xu Ming was feeling generous and said, "Order whatever you want today, it's on me!"

"Of course, it should be your treat! Tong Fu is new here, and as the team leader, you owe her a meal! Besides, you didn't even take me out when I got my promotion!" Luo Yue teased, giving Xu Ming a playful glare.

"Of course, I'll treat you! Aren't we having lunch together today? I'm only letting you get away with this because you're my junior from college. Don't think you can push me around just because I'm the team leader!" Xu Ming joked, pretending to take a swing at Luo Yue.

To Tong Fu, these two were like a comedy duo, absolutely charming. They were college alumni, joined the company one after the other, shared similar interests, and neither had a partner. It was perfect!

Tong Fu had always wanted to play matchmaker, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

"Alright, you two, enough horsing around. Let's enjoy our meal. We've got important work to tackle later!" Tong Fu said, picking up the menu to decide what she wanted.

As they were finishing up, Mao Tongtong unexpectedly appeared in front of Tong Fu.

"Hey, what a coincidence! I came here for lunch and didn't expect to run into you," said Tongtong, greeting Luo Yue and Xu Ming. She then turned to Tong Fu and suggested, "How about joining me at my brother's bar tonight? Bring your colleagues along too."

"I don't think so. We have a lot to get done, and it might not be convenient."

"Oh, come on, there's nothing inconvenient about it. I heard you just started this job, and taking everyone out for drinks would be a great idea. Let's go, and I can even get you a 50% discount!" Tongtong said with her warm smile, glancing at the two colleagues.

"Wow, Tong Fu, 50% off is a great deal!"

"Yeah, Tong Fu, maybe you should consider it?"

With both colleagues encouraging her, what could Tong Fu say? But she really didn't want to go to a bar.

"Well... I'll think about it! If I don't have to work late, I'll definitely join, okay?" Tong Fu smiled at Tongtong and asked, "By the way, how did you know I work here?"

"Oh, my brother told me. Why?"

"No reason, just curious. Anyway, it's about time I get back to work. After all, we can't be lazy all the time, shopping and getting our hair done every day is such a waste of time and life. We need to work to make life fulfilling."

After speaking, Tong Fu headed back with her colleagues. Mao Tongtong stood there, smirking.

On the way back, Luo Yue and Xu Ming kept asking about the beautiful woman—what her name was, which company she was from, and so on. Tong Fu felt a bit helpless and could only say that the woman currently wasn’t working and was staying at home. It seemed the allure of a beautiful woman was indeed powerful.

In the afternoon, Lee Li, the Human Resources Manager, handed Tong Fu a document, insisting that Director Fenng needed to sign it personally. Tong Fu found this odd, but she couldn’t go against her manager’s orders.

“Here, take my ID and go see Director Fenng. This document is urgent, and I should really be the one taking it up, but I need to prepare for a business trip. You... don’t have any issues with this, right?” Lee Li asked, looking at Tong Fu.

Tong Fu thought for a moment, nodded, and said, “No problem, I’ll take the document to Director Fenng for a signature right away.”

“Good, do it quickly. After getting Director Fenng’s signature, take the document to the finance department to get these expenses reimbursed.” With that, Lee Li returned to her work.

Lee Li had to help the company negotiate a deal today, so she needed to be well-prepared. There were still some documents that hadn’t been checked.

Tong Fu hurried upstairs with the document, feeling quite anxious. She had never met Fenng Yun in the company as an employee. She wondered what Fenng Yun was doing now.

Stepping out of the elevator, she saw Fenng Yun’s secretary busy at work and approached to explain her purpose for being there.

The secretary looked surprised and said, "Your manager asked you to personally bring this to Director Fenng for a signature?"

"Yeah, that's right. I'm not entirely sure why..."

"Oh, just hold on a moment. Director Fenng is in a meeting right now. You can sit here and wait while I make a quick call." The secretary promptly called the HR department to confirm the situation before allowing Tong Fu to proceed.

When Tong Fu entered the office, Fenng Yun was discussing upcoming company projects with a few colleagues.

"Director Fenng, the HR manager asked me to get your signature on this," Tong Fu said, standing there with the demeanor of a diligent employee.

"A signature?" Fenng Yun glanced at Lee Li.

"Yes, I just confirmed it. The HR manager, Lee Li, indeed asked her to get the signature. She's about to go on a business trip, but her supervisor seems to be out of the office, so she had to bypass the usual process," the secretary explained.

"You can leave now," Fenng Yun instructed the secretary.

The secretary bowed and exited, closing the door behind her.

Fenng Yun studied Tong Fu for a moment, gestured for her to hand over the document, and then said, "Your manager asked you to bring this, so you just brought it? Didn't you read the employee handbook when you joined the company? This is bypassing the chain of command, you know?"
