C7 My Woman Is Still Shy

Mao Tongtong was trembling with anger, her fists clenched so tightly that her nails were digging into her palms. She and Mr. Yun hadn't even held hands, let alone anything more intimate.

"You're shameless!" Tongtong exclaimed, nearly bursting with rage.

Tong Fu looked smug, clearly enjoying the moment. She had nothing to lose, so why worry about dignity?

"Weren't we going to find a restaurant? If you're not coming, I'll just go by myself," Tong Fu said, starting to walk away.

Tongtong stomped her foot in frustration. She wanted to go but felt it would be humiliating. Staying with Tong Fu any longer might drive her crazy, but she decided to hold on, knowing Mr. Yun would arrive soon.

They reached the entrance of a steakhouse, and Tongtong stopped. "I've been here with Mr. Yun before. He said the steak here suits his taste. Let's eat here."

Tong Fu glanced at the restaurant and shook her head. "Lately, he's been into spicier food. He can't eat without chili. Let's try the Sichuan place across the street."

"You're making that up. Mr. Yun never eats spicy food."

"Really? Maybe he loves me so much that he's been eating spicy food with me all along. He never mentioned it. I didn't realize he was accommodating me so much," Tong Fu said, feigning innocence while fiddling with her fingers.

Mao Tongtong was seething with anger.

"Let's just have steak here today. I'll compromise for him, let him feel my love," Tong Fu said as she walked inside.

She had planned various ways to humiliate Tong Fu, but when she faced her, things turned out differently. Every remark she made was countered, leaving her without a response.

After sitting in the restaurant for a while, Feng Yun arrived.

At that moment, Tong Fu and Mao Tongtong were seated on opposite sides. Seeing Feng Yun, Mao Tongtong quickly shifted her position, looking at him eagerly.

But she watched as he went straight to sit beside Tong Fu.

Feng Yun affectionately wrapped an arm around Tong Fu's waist, his lips close to her ear. "Darling, what did you order for me?"

His hand resting on her waist made Tong Fu shiver slightly, but she maintained a calm smile as she looked at him. "I ordered your favorites."

"Really? Then I'll start dining," he said.

Both Tong Fu and Mao Tongtong were a bit puzzled.

The food hadn't even arrived yet.

Suddenly, Feng Yun leaned down, his lips capturing hers in an instant. One hand cradled her cheek, the other held her waist to prevent her from pulling away.

And so, right in front of Mao Tongtong, they shared a passionate kiss.

Mao Tongtong's face turned bright red as she reached for her water glass to ease her embarrassment. Under the table, Tong Fu gave Fenng Yun's thigh a sharp pinch. In such a public setting, his audacity was truly embarrassing. Fenng Yun reluctantly pulled away, gazing at her with a doting look. "Sweetheart, you're my favorite," he said, clearly pleased with himself as he looked at the woman blushing in front of him. He playfully pinched her cheek. "Still shy, my dear?"

"You're so annoying, especially with people around," Tong Fu teased, pushing his hand away with a playful pout. Inside, she felt a sudden rush of warmth.

Across the table, Mao Tongtong kept drinking water, feeling as if a heavy stone was lodged in her chest, making it hard to swallow or breathe. Her nose tingled as tears threatened to spill over. "I'm done. You two enjoy," she said, standing up and quickly leaving the restaurant.

After Mao Tongtong left, Fenng Yun moved to the seat across from Tong Fu. "Nice performance," he complimented.

Tong Fu pressed her lips together. "So you just drove her away like that?"

"She wasn't my ex-girlfriend."

"Oh, my mistake, current girlfriend," Tong Fu said, stirring her water vigorously with a spoon.

"What's the matter, feeling jealous?" Fenng Yun asked with a playful smile.

Tong Fu almost choked, her eyes widening as she looked at him. "Jealous of you? You're overthinking it."

The waiter brought their food, so they didn't continue the conversation.

After dinner, Fenng Yun wasn't in a hurry to leave. Instead, he took her to a bar he frequented. His every move today seemed aimed at announcing Tong Fu's status to the world.

Tong Fu understood that he probably wanted to use her presence to dispel any rumors about his health. But it didn't matter to her; she knew she was there for him to use.

"Don't be so stiff. You're my fiancée now, so act a little closer to me," Fenng Yun said, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her closer.

"A hug?" Tong Fu asked. Seeing him nod, she stepped forward and embraced him.

A hug from the left, a hug from the right.

When she felt it was enough, she let go and whispered in his ear, "I'm thirsty. Can I have some water?"

"Sure," he replied, but then he lifted her onto his lap, holding her tightly when she tried to pull away. "Stay still, I'll get you some water."

He picked up a glass of lemonade, took a sip, and looked at her.

"You... aren't really going to..."

Before she could finish, Fenng Yun leaned in and gently helped her take a sip. Her face turned beet red, almost as if it were about to burst. With so many eyes on them, she wished she could just disappear into the ground.

In no time, photos of their intimate moment spread like wildfire, and the comments started pouring in.

"The Tong family's eldest daughter sure is brave, marrying Fenng Yun despite his condition."

"Money talks, doesn't it?"

"Is there really someone who'd risk it all for cash? Hard to believe."

"Maybe it's true love?"

At the bar, Fenng Yun received a message on his phone. It was from Mao Jiarong, with several screenshots from his social media. They were photos of Fenng Yun and Tong Fu together, shared by mutual friends, though Fenng Yun couldn't see them on his own feed—likely because they were intentionally hidden from him.

"Alright, we can head back now," Fenng Yun said, satisfied as he put his phone away and took Tong Fu's hand to leave the bar.

On the way back, he called his secretary.

"Release a statement for me, and also make sure Tong Fu's medical report is sent out."

Listening to him, Tong Fu finally understood his intention. The whole act at the bar was to clear up any rumors about his health. She yawned, gazing out the window, and after he finished his call, she turned to him with a smile. "How did I do today?"

"Not bad."

She forced a slight smile. "So, when do you plan on helping me get revenge?"

"When the time is right."

"Are you just brushing me off? Do you really not want to help me?"

Fenng Yun raised his hand, intending to touch her cheek, but she slapped it away.

"Don't touch me!" She glared at him, eyes blazing.

He chuckled coldly. "If you have the guts, go ahead and leave. I'm not stopping you."

Tong Fu gritted her teeth. "You really don't want to help me, do you?"
