"You better swallow your pride quickly, or once the boss leaves, no one can save you," Lee Jing suggested, glancing in the direction Lu Tineyuv had gone.

Jiang Jingxi frowned, looking toward where Lu Tineyuv was headed, her face clouded with gloom. Suddenly, she shouted in his direction, "You maniac! Are you trying to make me bleed out?"

Lu Tineyuv stopped in his tracks. He turned back, fixing her with a cold stare, and said with undeniable authority, "I'll give you another chance to make a different choice."

Jiang Jingxi's eyes were red with anger as she glared at him, gritting her teeth. "This is clearly a one-sided deal! You offer me a choice but leave me no way out. What kind of game is this?"

She might as well not have a choice at all!

Her fury was evident to Lu Tineyuv, who cruelly smirked and declared, "When I say you have a choice, I'm giving you an out. But if you refuse the easy way, I'll have to force your hand!"

Jiang Jingxi: "..."

As she fumed internally, Lu Tineyuv strode back with thunderous steps, looking down at her. "Given your unique condition, I'll give you a day to prepare. Training starts tomorrow!"

Caught off guard by his words, Jiang Jingxi let out a cold laugh but remained silent.

Sensing she had more to say, Lu Tineyuv asked icily, "What now?"

"Miss Jiang, feel free to ask," Lee Jing replied kindly.

This friendliness gave Jiang Jingxi hope. She eyed the pocket of Lee Jing's shirt and tentatively asked, "Could I borrow your phone to call home?"

Without hesitation, Lee Jing pulled out his phone and handed it to her. "Go ahead."

At his polite address, Jiang Jingxi smiled slightly. "Just call me Jingxi or Xiao Xi. I'm just a trainer and will need your help in the future!"

"I wouldn't dare!" A hint of fear flashed in Lee Jing's eyes.

How could he underestimate the woman in front of him? No one in their group dared to take her lightly anymore.

Although Jiang Jingxi was just a trainer now, she was the only woman who had gotten close to their boss.

The implication was clear: even if you ran, you still ended up back here, didn't you?

Jiang Jingxi was instantly furious. "That's because he abused his power!"

Just thinking about how Lu Tineyuv used such a big operation to catch her made Jiang Jingxi tremble with anger!

That damn man, just because he has power and influence!

"One day, I'll defeat him!" Jiang Jingxi said through gritted teeth.

Lee Jing watched her and laughed.

Jiang Jingxi found his laughter baffling and frowned, asking, "What's so funny?"

Lee Jing looked at her, his eyes glinting, and said, "I've heard that line countless times, but in the end, everyone who said it was defeated by the boss."

Jiang Jingxi could tell from his gaze that he was saying: you'll be no different.

She bit her lip, wanting to argue back, but realized it was pointless to do so at the moment. With that thought, she let out a cold snort, "We'll see about that!"

After speaking, she took a few steps away with her phone to make a call. Lee Jing, noticing her move, wisely stepped back about ten feet.

Jiang Jingxi glanced at him but said nothing. The next second, the call connected.

"Hello, who is this?" came the voice of her father.

Jiang Jingxi immediately replied, "It's me, your daughter."

Hearing her voice, her father was momentarily stunned before he reacted and quickly asked, "Are you out of the hospital? How are you feeling? Still running a fever?"

A barrage of three questions made Jiang Jingxi realize something and she asked in return, "Did you visit the hospital?"

Last night, when her father and Ms. Liu came by, she was still unconscious, so she had no idea about their visit.

"We did. We saw you were doing better, so we took your mom home," her father replied calmly.

"And then?" Jiang Jingxi was looking for more information.

Knowing his daughter well, her father understood she must have guessed that Lu Tineyuv had arranged for her to join the training, and she needed his approval first. While admiring his daughter's cleverness, he gently explained, "Joining the training has always been your dream. Although becoming a real soldier isn't possible now, Mr. Lu's offer isn't bad.
