"Do I even have a choice?" Jingxi replied with a wry smile.

"Do your best! I believe my daughter is the greatest!" Jiang encouraged her.

Jingxi rolled her eyes at the sky. Did he really need to repeat that she's amazing? It's just the truth!

With a proud huff, Jingxi finally got to the point, "Aren't you worried that guy might have bad intentions toward your daughter?"

"That guy?" Jiang paused, realizing who she meant, and his tone turned serious. "Mr. Lu is your boss. He's not going to do anything inappropriate to you. Don't talk nonsense!"

Hearing this, Jingxi wasn't pleased and immediately retorted, "Take a good look! Your daughter is 22, in her prime, not some little girl! With my looks and figure, what man wouldn't be interested?"

Jiang Jingxi paused, speechless.

"Since you're under my command, I'm responsible for your safety. Is there a problem with that?" Lu Tingyuv added with a hint of danger in his tone.

What more could she say? Her fists clenched at her sides.

Feeling the varied gazes around her, Jiang Jingxi bit her lip and lowered her eyes. "I misunderstood. I'm sorry!" she admitted, standing obediently.
