C15 Sun Meng Was Scared out of Her Wits, and the Two of Them Escaped from the Zombies.

Sun Meng had a nightmare.

In it, she woke to the sight of a zombie feasting on Tang Bing. Soon after, a horde of zombies burst in, swarming toward her in a frenzy.

Sun Meng fled in terror, but ultimately, she was overwhelmed by the undead.

She jerked awake, her forehead slick with cold sweat.

Glancing around, she realized Tang Bing was missing. The cafeteria door stood ajar, gaping ominously.

The remnants of her nightmare sent her into a panic. Had Tang Bing truly been devoured by zombies? What was she to do?

In a state of disarray, Sun Meng scrambled out of bed, her makeup in disheveled chaos. She dashed to the cafeteria entrance, calling out, "Bing! Bing, where are you? Please, don't scare me..."

Racing down the corridor, she spotted Tang Bing crouched by the elevator. Relief washed over her as she hurried to his side, "Bing, you nearly scared me to death! I thought..."

"Shh~" Tang Bing shot her a displeased look, "Keep it down, will you? Do you want to get us killed?"

"I'm sorry..." Sun Meng whispered an apology, her voice barely above a breath, "I had a terrible dream that you were eaten by zombies!"

Tang Bing gave her a look that said 'you're jinxing it,' retorting, "Jinx! It's you who got eaten by zombies!"

"Hehe!" Sun Meng giggled awkwardly, trying to lighten the mood, "Bing, what are you up to so early?"

"Don't you see?" Tang Bing gestured to the supplies stacked by the elevator. "While you were asleep, I moved all this here."

"Oh no! Why didn't you wake me to help?" Sun Meng's eyes fell on the abundant supplies, and she felt a twinge of guilt.

"Let's not dwell on it. We're up now, so let's focus on getting out of here," Tang Bing suggested.

"Hold on!" Sun Meng grabbed a pack of instant noodles, "We should eat something first. We'll need the energy to make our escape."

"Do as you please..." Tang Bing sighed, finding her concern a bit inconvenient.

"I'll make some for you too!" Sun Meng's spirits were lifted, knowing Tang Bing hadn't met the same fate as in her dream. She felt a renewed sense of safety. "Want an egg with that?"

"Sure, whatever."

"Great, I'll add an egg to yours too!" Sun Meng cheerfully collected the ingredients and water, and skipped back to the kitchen.

Tang Bing watched her go, shaking his head. "She's so carefree," he muttered. She had dozed off mid-conversation last night, utterly defenseless. Although he had been cautious around her at first, her vulnerability—and her dream-induced pleas for help—had worn down his guard.

At least he was certain now; Sun Meng harbored no ill will toward him.

The supplies by the elevator were indeed Tang Bing's doing. But rather than using a cart, he had transported them effortlessly in a virtual backpack, unseen by Sun Meng.

As Sun Meng busied herself with the noodles, Tang Bing wasn't just standing by. He approached the stairwell window and peered down. In the garden below, a scattering of zombies roamed aimlessly, while others lay still as corpses.

He estimated the trajectory; dropping a flowerpot straight down would likely hit a red car below. If successful, the car alarm would blare, drawing the nearby zombies away.

Flower pots were in abundance along the corridor, easily grabbed by the handful. Even if the first toss didn't hit its mark, he could keep trying, creating enough noise to lure the zombies away.

Then, he and Sun Meng could dash to the elevator and descend swiftly to the ground floor. With the zombies distracted by the blaring alarms, they'd quickly load the supplies into the car and make their escape before the undead caught on!

Sun Meng had the instant noodles ready in no time, calling him over for breakfast. They sat together in silence, savoring the noodles while scrolling through their phones for the latest news and forum updates.

Once they were full, they wasted no time chatting and headed straight for the elevator.

"Get set to load up a cart of supplies!" Tang Bing instructed Sun Meng. "Once you've got it in the elevator, signal me. I'll draw the zombies off with some noise."

"Got it!" Sun Meng nodded earnestly. With their lives on the line, there was no room for error.

"Ready?" Tang Bing inquired.

After a few deep breaths, Sun Meng nodded affirmatively. "Ready!"

"I'll be by the stairwell window. Be quick about it! And if there's trouble, scream!" Tang Bing, gripping the fire axe, sprinted up the stairs to the window, flung it open, and hoisted a flower pot.

Soon after, the elevator doors could be heard opening. "A cart's loaded up!" Sun Meng called out.

At her signal, Tang Bing hoisted the flower pot out the window and let go.

The pot plummeted and smashed precisely onto a red sedan below.

"Beep! Beep! Beep!" The shrill alarm blared, instantly drawing the zombies' attention.

Zombies swarmed the car, clawing at it as if searching for survivors inside. Even those previously still as the dead were now on their feet, converging on the red vehicle.

The noise drew more zombies from the building's first floor, flooding towards the commotion like a dark tide. The car's alarm grew louder under the zombies' frenzy, inciting further chaos.

"We did it!" Tang Bing hurried to the elevator door.

"Quick!" Sun Meng, with one foot braced against the elevator door, urged Tang Bing as she gripped the cart loaded with supplies.

Tang Bing stepped into the elevator and hit the button for the first floor.

"That was a rush!" Sun Meng gasped for air, her breaths deep with nerves.

Seeing her anxious, Tang Bing reassured, "I've got the zombies focused elsewhere. Just stay sharp and we'll be fine. Once we're out of the elevator, I'll scout ahead for any stragglers. Stay close behind me, and don't stray too far."

"Right!" Sun Meng nodded vigorously, clutching the cart's handle tightly.

"Ding!"

The elevator reached the ground floor, and the doors slid open with a crisp tone.

Tang Bing charged out first, axe at the ready, scanning the area with caution.

To their surprise, a stray zombie in a suit charged from a side corridor, eager to attack.

"Die!" With only this lone zombie in sight, Tang Bing swung his axe decisively, cleaving its head.

[System: You have killed a zombie and earned 10 experience points!]

[System: You have found yogurt!]

[System: You have found chewing gum!]

A drink and some gum—not too shabby. Tang Bing turned and gestured for Sun Meng to follow.

Sun Meng quickly pushed the cart to catch up, her eyes darting left and right in alarm.

"Keep up!" Tang Bing hissed under his breath, leading the way with his fire axe at the ready.

The two navigated the tense atmosphere and safely reached the director's car.

The nearby zombies had been lured away by the car alarm, leaving the area momentarily clear—a tactical triumph!

"Quickly!" Tang Bing whipped out the car keys, unlocked the vehicle, and urged Sun Meng to load the supplies into the trunk while he stood guard with the axe, vigilant for any zombie ambush.

They loaded the supplies without incident, and thankfully, no additional zombies appeared; it all went off without a hitch!

The pair rushed back to the building, ascended to the top floor via the elevator, and loaded the remaining supplies onto the cart.

Peering through the window, Tang Bing saw the zombies still clustered around the red car, distracted by the blaring alarm. He pressed Sun Meng to head downstairs immediately.

As Sun Meng was stowing the last of the supplies, a zombie, likely drawn by the alarm, stumbled in. It spotted Tang Bing, axe in hand, and lunged at him.

Tang Bing swiftly raised his axe in defense, ultimately cleaving the creature's head in two.

"Bing, we're all set!" Sun Meng called out, having packed the car's trunk with the survival gear. She beckoned him to hurry.

"Get in the car, now!" Tang Bing slammed the trunk shut.

"Right!" Sun Meng, her nerves on edge, flung open the door and dove into the passenger seat, buckling up with haste.

Tang Bing raced to the driver's side, ready to make their escape from the hospital.

Just then, a brown dog barreled into the hospital and lunged at Tang Bing with ferocious speed, its jaws clamping down on his left leg.

"Ahh!" Tang Bing's cry of pain echoed as the zombie dog's attack took him by surprise. Withstanding the searing pain, he repeatedly hacked at the dog's head with his axe.

"One, two, three..." He lost count of the blows, only stopping when the dog's head was a mangled mess and its jaws finally released, its body slumping to the ground.

Sweating profusely from the pain, Tang Bing's left calf was a gory sight, torn and bloody. Fearing the noise might attract more zombies, he shakily retrieved a bandage from his virtual backpack, quickly dressing the wound and popping an antibiotic and painkillers.

The painkillers dulled the agony slightly, and he wasted no time in jumping into the car and firing up the engine.

Through the window, Sun Meng witnessed Tang Bing's ordeal, her eyes brimming with concern and fear. "Bing... You've been bitten..."

"Don't state the obvious!" Tang Bing snapped, gulping down some water. He slammed the car into reverse and floored the accelerator before any zombies could close in.

Their noise had attracted a few zombies, but Tang Bing had already maneuvered the car out of danger. He sped away from the hospital, accelerating onto the highway.

Zombies were everywhere, even on the highway, drawn by the noise and ready to converge on them.

With expert precision, Tang Bing floored the gas pedal, weaving through the horde with agility and control, leaving the chaos far behind.
