C2 Ms.Lingerfield

Zuri's POV

Long story short.

Mr Silas got hit with a fire poker.

My neighbour,

Ms. Lingerfield supposedly still had the keys to my house that I gave her it didn't work for the front door since I had changed the locks but it still worked for the back doors.

Anyways she walked in to meet me so she could ask for some help since a part of her garden had been washed away by the rain apparently it had been quite heavy before I came home.

Anyways when she walked in, she noticed I was trying to shout for help at that time Mr. Silas had tied a cloth to my mouth silence my pleas and desperate cries.

Ms. Lingerfield had seen him trying to GET HIS WAY with me so she hit him with the fire poker

Currently he is knocked out unconscious and tied with a rope leaning towards one of the pillars in the room.

"Are you going to press charges?" Ms. Lingerfield queried looking at Mr. Silas with utter disgust.

"No ma, he is in charge of my workplace I could possibly be broke and homeless."

"A man with power but no dignity always leaves a sour taste on my tongue." she continued

"You know you could find better opportunities elsewhere..." she said now facing me

"Ma, I understand but I don't want to go through that long horrendous proce-"

Phone rings

"Am coming my dear" She gets up to attend to her phone call

Sigh

*Few minutes later*

"I know the process is long and tiring but it is better than being assaulted on a daily basis."

"I guess your right"

"I want you to turn in your resignation letter as soon as possible did you hear me Zuri"

"Yes ma"

"Good"

"Off you go I expect to meet a copy of it on my table by the end of this week"

I get up still shaken a bit but grateful of Ms. Lingerfield's hospitality.

"Ginger get off my couch u lazy bum!"

I chuckled

That cat always giving her trouble.

Settled at my homework desk I pen down my resignation letter

"Dear Mr Silas,

I am honoured to be a huge part of your company but I feel it my time to move to a new level one of possibly greater levels..."
