C3 "Searching for an heir"

Luciano's POV

"Have you eaten today sir?"

"Am fine Maria." Rhian replies coldly

His eyes to fixed to his computer

Rhian is a work-acholic, he barely has time for himself.

And as much as I appreciate him, he can be so annoying and petty at times.

Knock knock

Rhian flashes a wicked smile

"I already knew it was you."

He slams his laptop shut

"How you doing?"

"Great, you?"

"Good, How's Mila?"

"Don't do that"

"Ok am sorry but are you seriously going to back away... that easily...especially after she rejected you...like that." He says purposely breaking his sentences.

"Unlike you, I actually keep to myself and respect other people's decisions it no always going to be my way."

It still hurts

"Fair enough."

"So do you-"

"Your heir, have you found one?"

"Get out."

"You better find one soon" I say nodding at him

I say before picking up one of the shot cups Maria had set on the table before.

I had known Rhian ever since we were three

We always played in the meadows near his parents' villa.

I knew him as the kid with messy hair and a red convertible car toy he took everywhere but he never allowed others touch.

As he grew, his character became more unsettling and erratic he needed to be tamed.

"Where is that boy!" Mr Barone voice boomed the hallways

"If he had an heir, he won't be this violent and careless to his own mother" Mrs Barone cried.

I can't lie her acting was great.

And as soon as the door kicked right open, my eyes darted towards it.

"Good afternoon, sir." I greeted.

"How you doing Luciano?" The old man chuckled settling himself on the sofa

"Great sir." I replied after doing the same

"Do you have an heir?" Mr Barone queried turning his attention towards Rhian

"No sir" He replied huskily in a desperate attempt to hide his irritation.

I smiled and he didn't seem quite pleased.

"I have given you enough time to look for one and am going to take matters into my hands no."

"What do you mean by that father?"

Rhian seemed to be paying more attention than before, setting himself in a proper manner.

"Do you know who Aliana Cherith is?" Mr Barone says after the long threatening silence

"You're going to go on a date with her." he said nonchalantly

He didn't care anymore he had waited too long.

"I would do no such thing!"

"I didn't give you an option." Mr. Barone replied sternly he used his stick to lift himself up from the couch and with the help of his wife Mrs. Barone.

Such a lovely couple but their only son opposes to such love

"10 PM! Sharp! I want you out of here." says grumpily walking out

"Luciano?"

"Yes Mrs. Barone?"

"How was my acting?"

"Great as always mam." I replied smiling.

Feeling very much pleased with herself,

Mrs. Barone gave her son a quick air kiss, she shut the door silently

When I turned around as if I was already expecting it,

Rhian glared at me with great disapproval.
