Many years ago two major sides of a country broke into war. A prolonged war that claimed countless lives and countless cherished heritage. The war lasted for many years, with both sides refusing to yield. After a fatal attack, both sides resolved that separation was key and both went their separate ways. The First country that believes in discipline and family entitlement took the high and mountainous regions of the once united land. Wanting their people to touch the clouds and see the sky. They believed in high-class behavior for their descendants and honor was their main discipline. The second country that believes in the lowliness of mind took the valley. They believed that one must first touch the ground before one can reach for the sky. Their main discipline was the simplicity of life and their lack of worry. They were lovers of the beauty of life which was showcased through their music and numerous festivals. A Hundred years passed and both sides through a sweep of civilization had begun to coexist more peacefully. Yet, they hardly ever crossed paths with each other for there was an unspoken rule inscribed on their foreheads. YOU ARE MY ENEMY BEWARE. ******** Mei Xing, the esteemed and cherished white lotus of her family's dynasty is an entitled and highly disciplined young lady. She Is as delicate as a flower and as poisonous as its thorns. She is trained in the dignified art of hand combat and the use of a kendo sword. Her family's name and honor are the most significant emblem for her. Never have she once dreamed of having to leave her ancestral home. As she is the prized apple of her father, the Emperor of the first country. Akihiro is the carefree last son of the second country. He has no regard for the family name and entitlement. He is reckless and appreciates the true beauty of life by taking it as his own. He is regardless as the "prince" amongst the street boys and worthless men of the second country. Though from distinguished family background, Hiro doesn't see himself as part of a family but as a single person who needeth not to care for anyone other than himself. On the first night of the New Year's Eve festival, Akihiro plans to carry out his most reckless action yet. He plans to infiltrate the distinguished first country and steal their most prized possession. The rumored jade jewel is a family heirloom in the Emperor's family. Mei Xing placed a bet with one of her relatives that she could survive a day in the second country, which was rumored to have scary men with horrible dentition and sharp claws. She makes her escape in a blue Komodo dress to blend in with the second country women who came to sell to them. What she doesn't expect is to get robbed and harassed by some drunk scoundrels who tried to take advantage of her, thinking is a naive little girl from the second country. Given a chance to show off her skills, Mei Xing attempts to defend herself, but a young boy a year or two older with a katana blade steps in to save the day. Mei Xing immediately falls in love with his heroic act and is swept off her feet. As a young girl of age fifteen, she had never laid eyes on such a handsome face as that of her swordsman savior. He offers to take her home to the second country to her family, Mei Xing plays along and followed him to the enemy territory afraid to reveal her identity. Akihiro is ignorant of the "jewel" he took away from the first country that night. The entire first country is thrown in pandemonium as both the jade jewel and Mei Xing have gone missing in one night. "Serve me the head of the bastard who dares to steal from me before the day breaks!." The Emperor of the first country roared at all the guards in front of him. "I shall tie his hands to the horses and let them ride off towards the ends of the Earth!" The proud Emperor loudly ranted. Somewhere in the second Country.
