C15 I Have Worked Hard

Last night, she was brought to Kurt's villa by him. Due to the sudden incident, she did not have time to tell Arya about it. Until now, she finally remembered that she had neglected her mother.

However, she could not tell her mother the truth. If her mother knew that she was involved with Kurt, she would definitely ask her to leave Z City and settle down in an unfamiliar city or country.

Thinking of this, Linda lowered her head and lied, "Mom, I was talking about work with him at my master's house last night."

"Really?" Arya was a little suspicious.

"Really." Linda took a deep breath, but she did not show it on her face. She tried her best not to reveal anything.

Seeing Linda's determination, Arya did not ask more.

After all, it was time for Linda to find a boyfriend. As a parent, Arya should support her.

"Look at your haggard face. You must have been tired from staying up late last night. Mom will cook soon. Eat more later and nourish your body."

Arya looked at Linda meaningfully with a faint smile on her face.

"Thank you, Mom."

After saying that, Linda ran into the bathroom in a panic.

Arya saw Linda's fleeing figure and thought that she was shy. She smiled and shook her head as she walked into the kitchen.

Just as Linda entered the bathroom, she subconsciously locked the bathroom door.

Looking at her face in the mirror, Linda could no longer hold it in. Her eyes reddened as she covered her mouth, letting the tears fall down her cheeks.

Her tears blinded her vision and pierced her heart.

After so many years, her first time was actually taken away by the man she once deeply loved.

At this moment, the phone in her bag rang, forcing her to pull her thoughts back.

She did not think about it. She wiped her tears and quickly reached into her metal chain bag to take out her phone.

When she saw the sender of the message, Linda's expression instantly stiffened.

Kurt wrote in the message: "Linda, you will agree."

Linda's chest heaved up and down. She pressed the button and replied with a message: "Kurt, you are worse than an animal."

After sending the message, Linda threw it back into her bag and did not look at it again.

Outside the bathroom, Arya's voice reached her ears, "Linda, come out for dinner."

"Okay." Linda wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes and quickly washed her face. She tidied her mood and walked out of the bathroom.

The mother and daughter sat at the round table and quietly ate breakfast.

Linda took a bite of porridge and asked carefully, "Mom, what happened back then? Why did Dad make me stay away from the Knibbs family?"

When she said that, Arya's movements paused. Her gentle and kind face instantly darkened, and the porcelain bowl in her hand fell to the ground uncontrollably. It made a clanging sound, shocking Linda's heart.

"Mom, are you alright?" Linda squatted down subconsciously to pick up the broken porcelain bowl.

Arya stopped her. Her face was stiff. "I'm fine. Eat your rice."

"Mom …" Linda wanted to reach out to help.

Unexpectedly, Arya's eyes were red and she said coldly, "Have you grown up and become so strong that you don't want to listen to me anymore?"

"No." Linda shook her head.

Arya's hands didn't stop. Her eyes were downcast. "Don't ask me about this in the future."
