Chapter XX

Although it was no longer snowing outside, it was still very cold and the snow was still piled on the roadside. Looking from afar, it appeared to be a vast expanse of white.

Lu Feng ran to the convenience store to buy a pack of cigarettes. When he walked out of the convenience store, his ears were completely red from the cold.

"It's so cold."

The moment Lu Feng opened his mouth, white puffs continuously came out from his mouth. After that, he sat down on a bench by the side of the road, took out a cigarette box and lit it up, puffing out a mouthful of smoke.

After spitting out the smoke, Lu Feng looked at the vast expanse of white snow.

Nightfall

Shen Zechen left work early, and carried some freshly bought ribs and fish home.

Shen Zechen opened the door, discovering that the light was not on, the house was completely dark, Shen Zechen felt that something was amiss, he immediately turned on the light, and saw that the place was empty, and Lu Feng was no longer there.

"Lu Feng!"

Shen Zechen shouted again. This time, his tone was even more anxious.

Seeing that there was still no answer, Shen Zechen immediately took out his phone and called Lu Feng, but the other side of the phone only repeated the long and unanswered beep.

No one answered the phone for a long time, which made Shen Zechen feel an indescribable sense of frustration.

This feeling of not being able to find it yet not being able to find it once again, rose up in Shen Zechen's heart.

"Is it going to disappear without a sound again?"

Shen Zechen slowly put down her phone and held the phone tightly. The veins on her fair skin couldn't help but bulge out as she lowered her head.

Immediately after, Shen Zechen slammed the door and walked out in big strides.

Lu Feng who was sitting on the bench smoking, suddenly felt a cold chill, he shuddered and raised his head to look at the sky. The sky had already darkened, Lu Feng thought that Shen Zechen might already be back, so he stood up from the bench, pinched off the cigarette, and threw it into the trash can beside him.

Shen Zechen ran downstairs, but when he passed by the security pavilion, the security old man popped his head out, and looked at Shen Zechen who was anxiously leaving. He could not help but frown, and then the security old man sat back down.

Lu Feng was walking on the road with his hands in his pockets, the dim light of the street lamps on both sides causing his shadow to lengthen.

Step by step, as Lu Feng walked forward, he suddenly heard hurried footsteps in front of him. Lu Feng lifted his head to look, and was stunned when he saw Shen Zechen, who was standing not far from him, wearing a black overcoat.

Shen Zechen panted non-stop, her snow white face had long ago turned slightly red from the cold, and she just stood not far in front of him like this.

"Shen Zechen? "Why are you ?"

Lu Feng had not finished speaking when Shen Zechen suddenly walked towards him with large strides without saying a word. That tall and big body enveloped Lu Feng and then, in the next second, Shen Zechen suddenly bent down and hugged Lu Feng tightly.
