C11 The End of the World!(2)

The outcome was a profound irony for humanity, the so-called dominators of Earth!

The red mist had not only mutated or killed all plant life, but the virus had also infiltrated the soil, reaching depths of dozens of meters. Moreover, the majority of Earth's water sources were contaminated, leaving ordinary people incredibly vulnerable to the pollution.

The human habitat on Earth had drastically deteriorated.

Yet, these concerns were momentarily put aside by Lin Chen, who was engrossed in sensing the transformations within himself.

Upon introspection, Lin Chen was astonished to discover that he had indeed received an immense blessing.

Within his dantian, six cyclones spun energetically.

At the core was a slightly larger gray cyclone, his innate space Extra-Sensory Perception.

Surrounding it, five delicate cyclones of varying colors orbited in harmony.

Lin Chen's eyes widened in disbelief.

"This... This... This is the Five Elements Extra-Sensory Perception! All five elements are complete!"

Indeed, it was the Five Elements Extra-Sensory Perception—metal, wood, water, fire, and earth—a tremendous boon from the Seeds World.

The Seeds World, intertwined with Lin Chen's soul, had endowed him with the essence of the five elements. With the Divine Light of Order as a catalyst, these essences had finally solidified into Lin Chen's personal abilities!

The golden cyclone radiated a piercing energy, the green a vitality, the blue a nourishing moisture, the red a fierce intensity, and the yellow a profound solidity.

Lin Chen was so elated he nearly lost consciousness.

"Heavens, why are you so generous to me? Is this compensation for the hardships of my past life?"

He was eager to delve into his newfound Extra-Sensory Perception, but there was an urgent matter awaiting his attention.

He swiftly rose to his feet, teleported to the ground floor, and after several more jumps, arrived at Dormitory 4014 in under thirty seconds.

Now capable of night vision, Lin Chen gazed upon his five slumbering brothers under the crimson glow of the moonlight, his face etched with complex emotions.

To preserve his secrets at all costs, he had chosen not to share this knowledge with his brothers, nor to bestow upon them any such fortune. Yet, he harbored no regrets for his decision.

Having survived countless perils during the apocalypse and witnessed innumerable mystical abilities, Lin Chen was far from complacent despite his high starting point and numerous aces up his sleeve. He opted to keep his cards close to his chest, concealing his advantages as best as he could.

Providing opportunities for his parents and Yaya was the right thing to do. Lin Chen trusted they would guard these secrets with their lives. And even if they did let something slip, it wouldn't be much. With his current capabilities, Lin Chen was confident he could manage any fallout.

But if too many people were in the know, who could predict what might happen? The human heart is a mystery, after all.

For his brothers, Lin Chen's approach was to offer assistance on the down-low.

Over the next ten minutes, Lin Chen gave Yu Yang, Xu Peng, and Du Hai several doses of Elementary Energy Water to satisfy their evolutionary energy needs. Yu Yang received nine doses, the equivalent of one marrow cleansing. Xu Peng got six, and Du Hai, three.

And what of Kong Yifan and Tian Dagang?

Lin Chen couldn't care less about them!

It was already merciful that he hadn't obliterated them. Why would he offer them opportunities?

He'd let them tread their previous life's path. This time around, however, they wouldn't stand a chance to hurt Yaya again.

Should they persist in their self-destructive ways, Lin Chen wouldn't hesitate to annihilate them!

...

Silently returning to his hotel suite, Lin Chen found Yaya sitting cross-legged, fighting off drowsiness with intense concentration. He then retreated to his own room and entered the Seeds World.

He needed to quickly get a handle on the Five Elements Extrasensory Perception and then attend to two significant matters.

After three and a half hours in the Seeds World, Lin Chen had a clear understanding of his new abilities' traits and basic applications.

Reflecting on his past life, he discovered his potential for cultivation was over three times that of an average person with powers, and he possessed seven types of Extrasensory Perception. Theoretically, the challenge of leveling up and the energy required were over twenty times greater than that of a person with a single ability.

This didn't worry Lin Chen. The harder the climb, the stronger the powers at the summit. Besides, he had the Seeds World to extend his cultivation time and the World Origin to refine and transform all energies into a pure form that was readily absorbable.

When an individual first awakens to their Extrasensory Perception (ESP), they start at the Elementary Zero Level. The energy vortex at this stage can only sustain its user for two or three uses before it requires recharging through energy absorption or natural recovery.

A select few can unleash four ESP attacks upon their initial awakening, while an even smaller number can manage five.

As one's ESP progresses, the number of times it can be used in battle increases dramatically.

Lin Chen utilized energy water to elevate his Five Elements ESP to the High Rank of Zero Level, a process so energy-intensive that it caused the Seeds World to shrink painfully by over a square kilometer.

To advance the Five Elements ESP further, Lin Chen faces an exponential increase in the energy required, which would drastically reduce the size of the Seeds World. Additionally, the Seeds World has a critical feature: if one point of energy is expended, causing the world to shrink, Lin Chen must infuse two points of energy to return it to its original state.

Unwilling to continue this unsustainable exchange, Lin Chen ceased his cultivation and exited the Seeds World to attend to pressing matters.

In his past life, the emergence of the Red Mist sent all life on Earth into an eight-hour slumber. Out of over eight billion people, only those who had awakened before the mist's arrival retained the ability to move freely.

The odds of this were one in a billion.

For those eight hours, the Earth was at the disposal of merely eighty to ninety individuals, free to act without any interference.

Lin Chen had meticulously planned to accomplish two significant tasks within this time frame.

At 11:50 PM in Lin Ya's room, Lin Chen observed her energy surging wildly. Upon closer inspection, he detected four distinct energies intertwined.

Through Lin Chen's psychic observation, Lin Ya's energies manifested as blue, green, white, and an enigmatic silver.

"In my previous life, Yaya was merely a post-evolution wood type ESP user. Now, she's an Innate Evolver with four types of ESP, a force to be reckoned with even among the Awakened. The blue represents water, green for wood, white signifies mental energy, but this silver—what is it? It's elusive and hard to pin down. I've never encountered such an ESP before. Well, once she awakens tomorrow and explores her abilities, we'll uncover the details."

Overcome by drowsiness, Lin Ya's body slumped onto the carpet in a soft heap.

Lin Chen let out a sigh of relief. "Yaya has finally awakened just before succumbing to sleep. Her innate abilities are secure now."

Gently lifting Lin Ya into his arms, he placed her on the bed and tucked her in snugly. Lin Chen planted a light kiss on her forehead, murmuring, "Rest well, little one. It's time for me to get to work."
