C15 I Only Want You!

For some reason, every time he laid eyes on her, he felt an irresistible urge to pull her close and kiss her soft lips.

Their breaths grew heated in their tight embrace. Muh Jingyan slightly furrowed her brow, yet she didn't push Yung Mo away; instead, the light in her eyes deepened with complexity.

It wasn't until he kissed her to the point of breathlessness that Yung Mo, with great reluctance, released her. Still, he held her firmly in his arms, unwilling to let go.

This time, Muh Jingyan didn't resist. She quietly leaned into his embrace, her breaths shallow.

Listening to the steady, forceful rhythm of his heart, as if it beat just for her, an unnameable emotion flickered within her.

"Did you miss me?" Yung Mo's voice, deep and husky, broke the silence.

He gazed at her slightly swollen lips and asked gently.

Muh Jingyan remained silent, prompting a sigh from Yung Mo. He felt a twinge of distress; she seemed utterly indifferent to his presence.

"Did you have a hand in what happened to the Su family?" Muh Jingyan finally spoke after a long pause.

"Yes!" Yung Mo's response was crisp and without pretext.

"Why?" Her curiosity piqued, Muh Jingyan couldn't quite grasp his motives. She looked up at him, searching his face for answers.

"Because of you. They bullied you, so I took away what mattered most to them. As long as I'm around, I won't let anyone hurt you," Yung Mo declared, his voice cold, his presence exuding an air of untouchable nobility and dominance.

Hearing his words, Muh Jingyan's heart clenched. Her detached gaze grew even more distant, and she lapsed back into silence.

The car was shrouded in an unsettling quiet. Just when Yung Mo thought Muh Jingyan might have fallen asleep in his arms, she spoke abruptly.

"What do you want from me?"

"I only want you," Yung Mo replied earnestly, his gaze intense with resolve.

His declaration sent a tremor through Muh Jingyan's heart.

"Do you like me?" she asked, looking directly at him.

Yung Mo's body jolted, his cheeks flushing as he averted his gaze.

He couldn't explain it, but even after only a few encounters, she seemed to have etched herself onto his heart.

Without her, he felt an inexplicable sense of panic. He was becoming dependent on her.

She was the first woman he didn't despise.

He wanted to shower her with all the tenderness he had, to cherish her thoroughly. If possible, he longed to spend a lifetime soothing the chill and desolation in her eyes.

"If I said yes, would you be with me?" Yung Mo's eyes locked with Muh Jingyan's, neither willing to back down as he posed the question with utmost seriousness.

"No," Muh Jingyan answered without hesitation, turning her gaze away from him.

Yung Mo's expression darkened, a cold glint in his eyes as he pressed, "Why?"

"Because I don't like you," she said, her voice resolute and unwavering.

Her indifferent tone was sharp, piercing Yung Mo's heart with a momentary shock.

He watched her, his expression complex, yet his eyes betrayed his determination. "One day, I will make you fall for me. I'm sure that day isn't far off."

"You're that certain I'll come to like you?" Muh Jingyan's voice carried a hint of sarcasm.

Ever since she was betrayed three years ago, she had lost all faith in love.

"Yes," Yung Mo affirmed, his confidence unshaken. He believed he could win her heart completely.

Muh Jingyan simply smiled, a cool, detached smile that inexplicably irked Yung Mo, prompting him to gaze at her with a touch of displeasure.

"Yung Mo, whatever your intentions, I won't be with you. Please, don't seek me out again. Goodbye."

Her voice was earnest, each word striking Yung Mo's heart with force.

By the time he regained his composure, Muh Jingyan had already left the car. Her slender figure stood tall, emanating a blend of solitude and detachment that stirred a pang of empathy and sorrow in Yung Mo.

His eyes clouded with complexity, realizing the depth of her resolve. He hadn't expected such an unequivocal rejection, leaving no room for negotiation.

A self-deprecating smile crossed his lips as he lit a cigarette.

His lonely gaze drifted through the smoke to the couples coming and going at the school gate, his heart filled with bitterness.

The timely ring of his phone interrupted his thoughts. Yung Mo frowned, snuffed out the cigarette, and answered the call. A teasing, amused voice greeted him.

"I've heard you've taken an interest. You've piqued my curiosity!"

The mocking laughter on the other end caused Yung Mo's frown to deepen, a chill flashing in his dark eyes.

"You've got a lot of free time on your hands lately, huh? Looks like I need to remind your old man to set you up on a few more blind dates..."

"Act like I said nothing, why don't you? So stingy. I'm just showing a little concern for you. So, when are you going to bring her around for me to meet? Indulge my curiosity, will you?"

The mischievous chuckling persisted; it was none other than Yung Mo's lifelong best friend, Lu Wenye.

"Buzz off!"

"No way, you're not telling me you haven't won that woman over yet. My curiosity about her is really piquing. Need a hand?"

Lu Wenye's taunting was accompanied by a grin, his face alive with mischief.

"Touch her and you'll be the one I take down first!"

"Seriously? You're not joking?"

"What do you think?"

A shadowy glint flickered in Yung Mo's dark eyes, sending an inexplicable shiver down Lu Wenye's spine, even from the other end of the line.
