C5 A Good Show Is about to Begin!.

"Why are you here?" Su's mother knew all too well the thoughts lurking in her husband's mind. The moment she laid eyes on Muh Jingyan's attire, her gaze turned icy. She questioned her with a cold, displeased voice.

"Shouldn't I be here? It's my sister's wedding, naturally, I'd come to offer my congratulations!" Muh Jingyan quipped, her eyebrows arching playfully above her striking, aloof face.

"Of course, you're welcome here. Yan, please, take a seat!" Su's father greeted her warmly, his broad hand reaching out to graze the bare skin of Muh Jingyan's shoulder, his eyes betraying a glint of greed.

Su's mother's face soured at the sight of her husband's unrestrained behavior in front of their guests. She yanked him aside and hissed at Muh Jingyan.

"Muh Jingyan, you've not only seduced your sister's fiancé, but now you're trying to ensnare your own father? Shameless!"

"Mrs. Su, why would you say such a thing? I've never been one to covet another's man," Muh Jingyan retorted coolly.

"Mrs. Su, perhaps it's time you looked inward for the reasons behind your husband's infidelity. If you can't keep him in line, it's hardly fair to cast blame on others. It just makes you seem pitiable," Muh Jingyan said, her voice tinged with mockery as she observed Su's mother, seething yet forced to contain her anger.

"Muh Jingyan!" Su's mother's face, usually the picture of refined elegance, twisted in fury at Muh Jingyan's words.

"Excuse me," Muh Jingyan said dismissively, turning on her heel and striding away from Su's mother's livid expression.

Reaching a secluded corner, Muh Jingyan scanned her surroundings before slipping into the lounge. She retrieved a pinhole camera from her purse and expertly positioned it in a covert yet strategic spot, flashing a sly grin at the lens before departing.

No sooner had she left the lounge than the click-clack of high heels echoed down the hall. Muh Jingyan's gaze hardened; she moved with swift, shadow-like grace to a hiding spot, concealing herself completely. Her actions were fluid, almost inconceivable.

In the Haoyue Hotel's opulent top-floor suite, Yung Mo was engrossed in the live feed playing out on the large screen. His interest piqued as he witnessed Muh Jingyan's mysterious agility.

"Sir, Special Assistant Yun has sent over a document for your review," a subordinate in black announced, presenting a folder to Yung Mo with due reverence.

Yung Mo briefly glanced at Muh Jingyan on the screen before accepting the folder and casually leafing through it. The document outlined Muh Jingyan's background: twenty-three years old, adopted by Su's father three years prior, a finance major at A University, friends with Leng Qianqian, recently split from her boyfriend Soong Xian—who had just married Su Mo.

A chill flickered in Yung Mo's eyes at the mention of Soong Xian. He glanced back at Muh Jingyan, his frown deepening, his gaze icy with menace.

"Why is there nothing from three years ago?" Yung Mo inquired, his voice a cold edge.

"Special Assistant Yun found it odd too," the subordinate replied. "He easily uncovered recent information, but there's nothing from before three years ago—as if she never existed."

Yung Mo's expression grew more inscrutable as he continued to watch Muh Jingyan on the screen. Her poise and skill were extraordinary, surpassing even that of the Su family's young mistress. Her true identity was a puzzle he found himself increasingly eager to solve.

"Dismissed. Tell Special Assistant Yun to cease the search. The records have been wiped clean. I'll uncover the truth myself," Yung Mo declared, his eyes burning with fierce determination.

The subordinate bowed and exited as Yung Mo's attention returned to Muh Jingyan. He was intent on discovering her next move.

On the screen, Muh Jingyan reemerged from the shadows and approached the lounge door. She peered inside, a frosty smirk playing on her lips, then shut the door and walked away—straight into Su's father.

Her stunning figure and bewitching face, coupled with an air of detached coolness, captivated Su's father instantly. His gaze, ravenous, refused to leave her.

"Yan, there you are. I've been looking for you for quite some time!" he exclaimed, unable to conceal his desire.

As he spoke, he strode over to Muh Jingyan and extended his hand toward her once more. His eyes, lecherous and unblinking, were fixed on her chest.

Yung Mo watched the screen, his face darkening as Su's father dared to lay hands on Muh Jingyan. A chill flashed in his eyes. An oppressive aura emanated from him, suffocating in its intensity.

That damned Su Bolen, daring to lust after Yung Mo's woman! He was digging his own grave!

Yung Mo rose abruptly, his black suit accentuating his towering presence, adding to his icy demeanor.

A daunting chill and an overwhelming presence enveloped him as he gracefully exited the room and descended the stairs.

Heading towards the lounge at the back of the banquet hall on the first floor, the coldness radiating from Yung Mo grew more intense.

His tall silhouette, the allure of his stern features, and his aristocratic aura captivated the women he passed, who couldn't help but gaze at him with longing. To them, he was the epitome of style.

At the lounge entrance, Muh Jingyan sidestepped Su's father's advancing hand. With an icy expression, she confronted him, "Mr. Su, what exactly do you think you're doing?"

Su's father, his patience wearing thin after Muh Jingyan's repeated evasions, glared at her and issued a threat, "Jingyan, stop making a scene. You're out of options. If you comply and become my woman, I'll buy you a house on the outside, and even your foster mother wouldn't dare touch you!"

Hearing Su's father's proposition, a deeper sneer etched across her face, laced with scorn.

"Not a bad idea, you've got guts. But let's watch the show first. After it's over, I'll respond to your proposition. How does that sound?"

Upon hearing her response, Su's father nodded eagerly, "Fine, we'll watch the show first!"
