C6 Who Is Your Girlfriend?

Su's father followed Muh Jingyan out of the lounge doorway, keeping pace with her stride.

But she was moving too quickly and collided with a broad, warm chest. A crisp, cold fragrance invaded her nostrils.

Muh Jingyan's nose throbbed with pain. Annoyed, she furrowed her brow and stepped back from the man's embrace.

Without warning, strong, long hands encircled her waist. The man pulled her retreating form back into his arms.

Muh Jingyan's displeasure grew. She looked up at him, her surprise evident.

The man before her had an austere countenance, his deep, dark eyes glinting sharply.

His features were as flawlessly handsome as those of a deity.

He exuded a commanding presence, like a sovereign reigning from on high, his gaze fixed intently on her.

He was the type of man women would naturally swoon over, yet Muh Jingyan's expression darkened at the sight of his face.

Her brows knitted tightly as she fought to free herself from his hold, her eyes brimming with irritation.

"Don't move!" His voice, deep and resonant like a cello, boomed above her. She shuddered, her body instinctively relaxing, and she ceased her struggles.

Yung Mo reveled in Muh Jingyan's sudden compliance, pulling her even closer. His gaze, heavy with possessiveness, shifted to Su's father.

"Mr. Yung, I had no idea you'd be attending my daughter's engagement party. Why didn't you inform me sooner? I would have welcomed you personally!"

Initially, Su's father was irked to see Muh Jingyan in another man's arms, but upon recognizing Yung Mo, his irritation gave way to a sycophantic grin.

Muh Jingyan's frown deepened at the sight of her father's obsequiousness. Who was Yung Mo that her father would act so subservient and wary?

Though Su's Enterprise wasn't the leading company in B City, it was still a powerhouse. Su's father's deference made it clear that Yung Mo was no ordinary man. This only reinforced Muh Jingyan's resolve to avoid entanglements with such a dangerous figure.

Yung Mo gave a curt nod, his expression unchanging as he addressed Su's father. "Director Su, I came for my girlfriend. Now that I've found her, we'll be taking our leave."

After Yung Mo's declaration, both Muh Jingyan and Su's father were left in shock.

What? Muh Jingyan was Mr. Yung's girlfriend? Since when?

Fear crept onto Su's father's face. He was relieved he hadn't acted on his earlier anger—Mr. Yung would surely have punished him. Yet, the thought of the woman he had nurtured for three years being taken by another man left him seething with resentment.

Yung Mo wasted no time on their reactions. Holding Muh Jingyan close, he made his way toward the exit.

"Let go! Who says I'm your girlfriend?" Muh Jingyan snapped out of her daze. She met his intense gaze with a cold challenge.

"Who else but you?" Yung Mo arched an eyebrow, looking at her. A twinge of discomfort passed through him as she rushed to deny their connection.

His expression darkened, his eyes trailing over her pale, delicate neck and chest. The hue of his pupils deepened.

Indeed, he found most women repellent. Yet Muh Jingyan, the woman in his arms, stirred a desire in him he couldn't ignore. The dreams of the past few nights came flooding back, his gaze growing more intense.

She was bewitching him!

At his words, Muh Jingyan let out a scornful laugh, her eyes alight with derision.

"That night, I was drugged—it was all a misunderstanding. You have no obligation to me, and I want nothing further to do with you!"

Yung Mo's face darkened, his demeanor icy.

A dangerous gleam flickered in his eyes as he uttered words that left Muh Jingyan aghast.

"My first time was with you; you must take responsibility."

"Ah?" Muh Jingyan's eyes widened in disbelief as she gazed at Yung Mo's agitated and unnatural expression.

Her delicate features seemed almost endearing to him, and the awkwardness in his heart dissipated.

They were both virgins, and yet he was insisting on her accountability. Could he be mistaken?

"Are you trying to renege?" Yung Mo's voice was cool, his glance at the woman in his arms sharp, suggesting dire consequences should she dare to disagree.

"Sir..." Muh Jingyan began, only to be cut off by Yung Mo's chilly interjection, "Call me Yung Mo."

"Mr. Yung, we're not compatible. And as the woman, shouldn't I be the one at a disadvantage?" Muh Jingyan's tone was frosty as she spoke again.

"You at a disadvantage? I've already told you I would take responsibility," Yung Mo replied, his voice unwavering, his gaze on Muh Jingyan growing darker by the moment.

Given his family's intense desire to see him wed, he figured it was better to seek out someone he actually liked rather than settling for any lesser-known women.

"What are you after?" Muh Jingyan finally broke the silence.

She had long given up on the idea of love, especially since she had only met this man once. The notion that he could be in love with her already seemed absurd.

Yung Mo regarded Muh Jingyan with an icy stare, his thoughts inscrutable. "I have no hidden agenda. I simply want you to be mine, and you don't have the luxury of refusal," he stated flatly.

Muh Jingyan let out a mocking laugh, choosing to remain silent.

The engagement party was just getting underway, and the room was bustling with guests.

Soong Xian and Su's mother were preoccupied with their hosting duties, and the absence of Su Mo was becoming increasingly conspicuous. Concerned, Su's mother decided to search for her.

But as she was about to leave the banquet hall, the lights abruptly went out.

Spotlights illuminated the stage as the backdrop curtain fell, revealing two nude figures on the screen.

The video playing showed a man and a woman in a lounge, and to the shock of everyone present, the woman's face was unmistakably that of the evening's honoree—Su Mo!
