"What if I wasn't married? Would we have a chance? Could you ever like me?" he asked after a while.

We were both lying down in front of his car, still gazing at the sparkling stars in the sky.

"I don't know," I replied.

I could feel him turning towards me, but I kept my gaze fixed above.

"I mean, just imagine. Pretend that I'm not married, and I've fallen for you," he said
