C101 Seven Consecutive Victories!!

Celia was immensely powerful, wielding a fearsome psychic force. Without Chu Yi's even more potent primordial spirit, he might not have stood a chance against her.

Lee Zi had once remarked that Divine Psychics of the same caliber were nearly invincible.

Naturally, she referred to genuine Divine Psychics, not those who lacked combat skills and merely used their psychic force to manipulate compasses.

A true Divine Psychic was a force to be reckoned with.

Even a warrior would find themselves evenly matched against a Divine Psychic of the same realm, with odds no better than fifty-fifty.

The most elite Divine Psychics could even reshape time and space with a mere thought, creating worlds of their own.

Chu Yi had come to understand this firsthand.

Yet...

After some reflection, Chu Yi considered himself something of a Divine Psychic nemesis—a warrior uniquely suited to counter them.

Of course, if he chose to, he could ascend to become a top-tier Divine Psychic himself.

But for Chu Yi, enhancing his physical form remained the priority.

Relying on the extraordinary power of his primordial spirit, he could withstand any Divine Psychic's influence without resorting to immortal arts.

These Divine Psychics depended on external elemental powers, channeling them to forge their offensive techniques.

Chu Yi's primordial spirit, even in the smallest measure, far surpassed those of his Divine Psychic peers in both strength and quality.

Thus, when confronted with the lethal arts of a Divine Psychic, Chu Yi was anything but defenseless.

In fact, if he wished, he could even reverse their most potent attacks, inflicting severe damage in return.

Celia, having finally risen, was still shrouded by her veil, her once icy, goddess-like demeanor now shattered.

"You..."

She began, only to end up exclaiming with frustration, "That was brutal!"

Chu Yi simply shrugged.

"You're my adversary. If I weren't brutal, I would be the one defeated."

His words were unassailable, yet they did little to quell Celia's indignation.

"What was that move you pulled at the end?"

She was baffled by how Chu Yi had abruptly escaped her binding and launched a devastating attack.

Currently, Celia's abilities had been suppressed to the peak of the mid-Silver tier, just like Chu Yi's. However, her true strength far exceeded such a level.

Although her powers were suppressed, Celia's strength far surpassed that of any Divine Psychic within her realm. Yet, the strike she was certain would be flawless was effortlessly dismantled by Chu Yi. This completely shattered Celia's expectations.

If Chu Yi had resorted to sheer brute force, Celia wouldn't have been taken aback. However, she hadn't sensed any surge of formidable energy, which left her utterly perplexed.

Chu Yi pondered for a moment. "Perhaps I have a unique constitution," he mused. "In technical terms, it's called—"

"Magic Immunity."

Magic Immunity? Celia looked bewildered.

"Magic Immunity?" she echoed.

Is such a constitution even possible?

Chu Yi shrugged. Whether it exists or not, if I claim it does, then it might as well.

"Let's not waste any more time," Chu Yi said, warming up his hands. Once he ascertained there was no longer a threat, his interest in the fight waned.

Celia's abilities were undoubtedly superior to those of the ancient temple, but Chu Yi's advantage was his ability to counter her.

"Enough, I concede!" Celia declared, vanishing before Chu Yi could even process her surrender.

Chu Yi was momentarily taken aback but quickly grasped the situation. He couldn't help but admire Celia's decision; she recognized that against his supposed magic immunity, she was like a lamb to the slaughter, powerless to resist.

To continue the fight would only invite further humiliation. While not life-threatening, such a defeat would severely dent Celia's belief in her own invincibility.

Thus, Celia made the swift decision to end the combat.

"Chu Yi wins!" announced the disembodied voice, following Celia's departure.

But this victory was met with jeers instead of cheers, casting a shadow over Chu Yi's triumph. Engaging in combat with women, especially beautiful ones, was indeed fraught with complications. Had he overcome Celia through an arduous battle, perhaps the crowd's reaction would have been different.

But the victory came too easily, and that punch earlier...

Well, a win is a win.

In the next moment, Chu Yi vanished, only to reappear in the void for the third time.

"Challenger Chu Yi has defeated Four-star opponent Celia. Preliminary round victories now total +1, with a current record of 2 wins out of 2 matches."

"Challenger Chu Yi has defeated Four-star opponent Celia. Star rating increased by +10, with the current completion at 11/100."

"Challenger Chu Yi, would you like to continue participating in the preliminary round?"

Chu Yi paused, taken aback.

The first announcement made sense, but the second...

Why did the second battle add ten points?

A moment later, it clicked for Chu Yi.

A Four-star opponent!

The ancient temple was a Three-star challenge, but this time his opponent, Celia, was Four-star, which is why his star rating jumped by ten points!

It all made sense to Chu Yi.

"Now that I'm a Four-star, defeating a weaker Three-star will only net me one point. But taking down a peer of equal standing, a fellow genius, that's worth ten points!"

"The eleven percent must refer to my star rating progression!"

"That means, if I defeat ten geniuses at the same Four-star level, I can ascend to a Five-star Genius rating!"

Chu Yi might not have known the exact benefits of the star rating, but he was certain it was advantageous to have it.

Without a second thought, Chu Yi declared, "Begin!"

...

Lunchtime had long passed when Chu Yun glanced at Lee Zi, whose eyes were shimmering uncertainly.

"It's been an hour and a half; why hasn't Yi emerged yet?"

Chu Yun's concern was evident, yet he couldn't quite hide the delight that sparkled deep within his gaze.

Lee Zi had set a staggering record by lasting an hour inside, but now Chu Yi had surpassed it.

Lee Zi remained silent.

She was aware of the reality within.

The duration one spent inside was inconsequential.

Yes, to monstrous geniuses like them, who could breeze through the assessments, time spent held no significance.

But for those who couldn't make it...

Lee Zi was acutely aware that the assessment was exactly that—a test. The longer one could endure, the more formidable their strength.

Lee Zi wouldn't discuss these matters until Chu Yi had emerged.

She had absolute trust in Chu Yi, yet she remained cautious around everyone else.

"Lee Zi, what star rating do you think Chu Yi will receive?"

Chu Yun wasn't overly concerned with time anymore; his focus was on Chu Yi's star evaluation.

After all, that rating was the true measure of a prodigy's strength.

Though the specifics of its use were unclear, the occasional hints from the elder suggested it was incredibly significant!

Of course, that significance was within advanced civilizations. In the context of the Terran Federation...

It's likely that 99% of the human elite wouldn't even recognize what it was.

Lee Zi responded without hesitation, "Chu Yi will rank higher than me."

"He's definitely stronger than me!" She stated with conviction.

To Lee Zi, Chu Yi was the most formidable being.

In the fragmented universe, Chu Yi's displayed powers were nothing short of divine, and his effortless transformation of her into a fearsome warrior was a feat of the gods!

Though Lee Zi had never visited a Fourth Level or higher civilization, she was certain that Chu Yi's abilities would defy expectations even there.

After all, if it were easy to create such powerful warriors, they wouldn't be so rare among the higher civilizations...

Chu Yun realized that Lee Zi was unwilling to share more, and despite feeling somewhat helpless, he knew it wasn't his place to press for information.

Previously, Lee Zi was known simply as Chu Yi's girlfriend. After her genetic power was shattered, that connection remained her sole tie to the Chu family.

But now...

The ability to stay here for an hour marked one as a Six-star Genius!

Either status would grant Lee Zi esteemed guest status within the Chu family, especially considering her relationship with them...

So even though Chu Yun had the power to crush Lee Zi with a mere gesture, he found himself at a loss facing her reluctance to divulge more.

In light of this, he decided to simply wait...

"Contestant Chu Yi has triumphed over his Four-star opponent, Dano, adding one more victory to his record. His current win count stands at 7, maintaining a perfect win rate of 7 out of 7."

"Contestant Chu Yi has vanquished his Three-star adversary, Dano, increasing his rating by 10 points. He has now achieved 52 out of 100 in his current rating."

"Contestant Chu Yi, would you like to continue in the selection battles?"

This marked the seventh battle!

In such a brief span, Chu Yi had engaged in seven battles.

Except for the somewhat tedious encounter with Celia, the remaining six battles had been thrilling for Chu Yi!

Out of these seven battles, there were only two Three-star opponents, while the rest were formidable Five-star adversaries.

Chu Yi surmised that this might be due to his consecutive victories.

Nonetheless, this was an ideal situation for Chu Yi.

As a result, after seven battles, Chu Yi's star rating had climbed to 52.

In just one day, Chu Yi had nearly completed half of his leveling-up mission.

Chu Yi was well aware that this was no easy feat. Without sufficient strength, such accomplishments would be out of reach.

Take his opponents, for instance; if they were genuine Four-star talents, each battle would likely be a fierce contest, demanding a significant toll to secure victory.

Indeed, there is no death here. Victorious combatants return to this void space, where all physical injuries are healed.

But what of the wounds to the spirit?

For these exceptional talents, each confrontation is a severe drain on their mental fortitude.

For other prodigies, just one such intense battle could leave them drained for days.

Only someone of Chu Yi's caliber could achieve such feats.
