C166 I Told You to Get Lost!(2)

Lee Zi's points are impressive!

Looking at the Demonic Beasts littering the ground, plus their own points, they realized that if they could defeat Lee Zi, each of them could earn at least 300 points!

That was no insignificant sum.

Initially, they intended to persuade Lee Zi to spare them, but upon assessing the situation, they understood that failing to take down Lee Zi would be their greatest mistake!

Regarding Lee Zi's connection with the Chu family...

The three exchanged glances.

They were aware of the Chu family's strength, but its extent was beyond their knowledge.

Yet, they believed that if they joined forces, even the Chu family would hesitate to retaliate.

After all, Lee Zi wasn't the direct heir of the Chu family.

Besides, their actions were motivated by the desire to achieve outstanding results and secure the coveted treasures for their clan.

So, they were convinced they were right!

With that mindset, they were ready to act!

In that moment, the trio made their decision.

They were doing it all for their family...

While the online audience was busy hurling insults, convinced the trio was about to flee, they abruptly altered their strategy.

They were now determined to take down Lee Zi!

This unexpected turn silenced the jeers momentarily.

But soon after, a barrage of curses erupted, flooding the screen.

Shameless, utterly shameless!

Some viewers felt that even calling them shameless was a disservice to the word itself!

Many claimed they had never encountered such brazen individuals in their lives, especially those who purportedly came from well-educated noble families.

It was a complete reversal of expectations.

Lee Zi was momentarily dazed, for she was not Chu Yi; she was merely an eighteen-year-old girl in the bloom of youth.

So, when the trio's aggressive intent bore down on her, Lee Zi only snapped to attention upon sensing the immense threat.

"Despicable!"

Lee Zi's voice echoed.

In the blink of an eye, Lee Zi vanished from her spot.

Then, with a mighty punch, she sent one of the geniuses flying.

This strike, while not Lee Zi's ultimate display of power, was still formidable, certainly more so than when she had previously slain the Demonic Beasts.

At the critical moment, Lee Zi recalled the threats they had made earlier. She was not afraid of danger herself, but the thought of endangering her loved ones, those close to her, filled her with fear. Consequently, she pulled back much of her strength in the final instant. Otherwise, the genius who was blasted away might not have died, but he would have been utterly stripped of his combat abilities.

Rising from the ground, she quickly ingested a potion, regaining a significant amount of her strength in a brief span. The genius stared at Lee Zi, his eyes brimming with malevolence and astonishment.

Was Lee Zi strong? They hadn't felt it before, but now they were acutely aware of her terror. That punch she had thrown... it had shattered their expectations. Had Lee Zi not moderated her force at the last second, the outcome would have been dire.

The trio hadn't anticipated that Lee Zi was concealing her true capabilities. Even the Lee Zi they had feared to the utmost wasn't operating at her full potential. She had reserves of power they hadn't seen! And it was possible that even now, they hadn't seen the extent of her abilities. This realization sent a shiver down their spines.

They had assumed that Lee Zi, having lost her genetic power, was now useless. Even after securing a position within the Silver rank by leveraging the Chu family, they still considered her worthless. And they believed that even if she ascended to Gold, she would remain worthless. But they were mistaken. Lee Zi's power had surpassed anything they could have imagined. Yet, discussing this now was pointless.

The strength Lee Zi had demonstrated had completely overturned their understanding of the world. Could she have been this powerful even before losing her genetic power? No one could say for sure. However, these three knew that even the peak Lee Zi of the past was comparable to the Lee Zi before them now. And to think, she might still be hiding her true strength... It was frightening, overwhelmingly so.

If they failed to eliminate Lee Zi, her growth would spell disaster. Regardless of whether their families would be affected, their own futures were sure to be fraught with peril.

With this in mind, the three geniuses exchanged glances, each seeing the resolve in the others' eyes. At such a juncture, what was there left to hesitate about?

Leaving Lee Zi alive would surely spell disaster for them!

Then the only option was to kill her.

The three were acutely aware of each other's thoughts, as they were all scions of noble families and understood the dilemma well.

But how could they possibly kill such a formidable Lee Zi?

Indeed, with the backing of their families, Lee Zi dared not kill them or even outright eliminate them. Yet, they lacked the power to pose a real threat to Chu Yi.

Suddenly, a cunning glint flashed in the eyes of one of the three prodigies. He opened his lips slightly towards the others but remained silent.

The other two's eyes brightened, their expressions turning ruthlessly cold.

Without a word, they lunged at Lee Zi in unison.

Lee Zi's eyes blazed with clear fury, but regrettably, she found herself without a good counter to their joint assault.

If she chose to, Lee Zi could easily obliterate any one of them with a single punch.

But what would follow?

The downfall of her own family.

That was something Lee Zi could never allow.

And so...

This battle became the most stifling one Lee Zi had ever fought.

Against the prodigies of higher civilizations, Lee Zi could stand strong and dominant.

But now, faced with these unworthy opponents, she was utterly helpless.

She dodged relentlessly, withdrawing most of her strength even on the rare occasions she struck back.

The fight was frustrating not only for Lee Zi but also for the viewers on the official website's homepage.

"This damn coward!"

"In my entire life, I've never seen such shamelessness. Is this what they call a noble scion?"

"Disgraceful, utterly disgraceful!"

"These scoundrels have completely tarnished the reputation of our Redmarsh City!"

The majority were genuinely outraged, yet they were powerless to intervene.

They could only watch.

Onscreen, the three assailants grew increasingly frenzied, abandoning all pretense of defense.

In a fair fight, these so-called geniuses would have been long dead. But emboldened by the knowledge that Lee Zi wouldn't dare kill or gravely injure them, they resorted to the most despicable tactics imaginable.

Lee Zi was holding back, suppressing her anger and managing to cope, albeit with difficulty.

Her sole focus now was to persevere until the trio exhausted their strength, at which point she could finally leave this place.

As for the Demonic Beast points...

They might as well be thrown to the dogs.

Yet, Lee Zi's plan, though well-intentioned, led to disastrous outcomes.

Take the present moment, for example...

At the start of the battle, Lee Zi had completely overpowered the three of them. Even with her own strength held in check, she could have easily eliminated them.

But as the fight dragged on, she noticed her strength dwindling rapidly.

The longer the battle lasted, the quicker her power faded.

And now...

Lee Zi's face contorted with fury.

"Despicable! You've resorted to poison!"

She had felt it—poison, indeed!

Though unsure how it was administered, she had undoubtedly been poisoned without her knowledge.

This wasn't an instantly lethal toxin but a special kind that eroded her strength subtly, sapping her combat abilities.

Otherwise, Lee Zi would have remained oblivious.

Lee Zi's accusation rang out, heard by all.

The audience, who had thought the earlier conduct was the nadir of shamelessness, now saw that these three could stoop even lower.

Poison!

They had actually used poison!

In a regular arena match, such an act would result in immediate disqualification, an act universally condemned.

However, this particular assessment had no explicit rules against it.

The authorities had anticipated this scenario but chose not to intervene, recognizing the utility of the poison.
