C23 Mrs Yanran
"Wait a moment, I'll take this young man inside."
As Chu Yi was about to depart, a sudden voice caught his attention.
Upon recognizing the voice's owner, Chu Yi paused, momentarily taken aback.
However, he quickly recovered, his smile deep and meaningful.
The voice belonged to a woman—or perhaps it would be more accurate to say a girl.
Indeed, Chu Yi perceived the allure of a mature woman in her, yet her expressions bore the fresh innocence of the girl next door.
In anyone else, such a combination might seem contradictory, but in her, it was captivating.
After all, there's no crime in being beautiful.
Truly, she was breathtakingly beautiful.
Chu Yi reflected on all the women he had encountered in his past and present lives, and realized that aside from Lee Zi, no one could hold a candle to the woman before him.
Of course, that was the Lee Zi who was still young.
Should Lee Zi reach her full maturity, she would likely surpass this woman.
The security guard, too, was momentarily spellbound by her arrival, but as a professional working in a major shopping center, he quickly regained his composure.
"Ma'am, could you please present your warrior certificate?"
The woman responded with a captivating smile and produced a card from her evidently expensive handbag.
"Will this suffice?"
The guard's demeanor shifted subtly upon seeing the card, and he no longer dared to meet her gaze.
Bowing his head respectfully, he said, "Enjoy your shopping, Madam."
With that, he gestured for her to proceed, disregarding Chu Yi's presence.
"Come on then, young man, let's go inside..."
Approaching, the woman casually linked arms with Chu Yi.
Chu Yi's grin grew more pronounced, and he offered no resistance: "Thank you kindly, Madam."
The woman's hair ornament clearly indicated she was a married lady, hence Chu Yi's use of 'Madam.'
"Oh, young man, there's no need for such formality."
"You may call me Yanran..."
She whispered, leaning in close to Chu Yi's ear, her breath sending a warm flush through his body.
Chu Yi quickly regained his composure. If he couldn't handle even this much, then all the years he suffered in the Immortal Demon Temple would have been for nothing. "In that case, I shall address you as Mrs. Yanran," he decided. Chu Yi was not one to err in such matters.
Mrs. Yanran offered a noncommittal smile, not objecting to Chu Yi's choice of address, and clutched his arm a bit tighter. Chu Yi didn't recognize the card Mrs. Yanran had produced, but he was certain it wasn't any kind of warrior's identification. Regardless, it seemed to be quite useful.
Chu Yi harbored no particular thoughts towards Mrs. Yanran. Despite her striking beauty and his own inexperience, he remained indifferent. Hence, unless Mrs. Yanran made a move, Chu Yi had no intention of acting on anything.
Mrs. Yanran had been the one to bring Chu Yi here, yet she truly knew how to treat people well. She didn't cling to Chu Yi or treat him as a subordinate. Instead, she chose to depend on him, following him wherever he wished to go.
"This is known as Ocean Gold, a natural metal from the Dimu Lan Star System," she explained. "Its strength is approximately ten times that of the titanium alloys we produce on Earth." Chu Yi looked on in awe. Titanium alloy was already impressively strong, but Ocean Gold was tenfold more durable—and it was a naturally occurring substance in the universe! Indeed, nature held the most extraordinary wonders.
"This is a spiritual core," Mrs. Yanran continued. "It originates from the core of a creature in the Gulal Star System. It's not particularly useful for warriors, but for Divine Psychics, it's an invaluable treasure." Divine Psychics? Chu Yi recalled the blonde, good-looking man he had met earlier. He nodded subtly, maintaining a serene expression.
Throughout their journey, Mrs. Yanran had been introducing various items to Chu Yi. Her breadth of knowledge was evident. Chu Yi found many of these items fascinating, especially the fragmentary star stones from the Ancient Jin Galaxy. They were key ingredients for crafting a Body Strengthening Medicine, and their direct use was nearly as potent as the effects of the Exquisite Fruit Chu Yi had previously acquired. They were indeed among the most elite of the Third Level Potions.
Beyond these items, there were numerous Second Level and Third Level Potions available.
Naturally, on the top floor of the building, one could even find Fourth Level Potions for sale!
However, these were merely ordinary Fourth Level Potions.
The cost of a Fourth Level Potion wasn't particularly steep. In this building, many items were priced at ten or even a hundred times more than a Fourth Level Potion.
Yet, while the price of a Fourth Level Potion wasn't exorbitant, its rarity made it incomparable to other items.
In truth, if the price were to be unregulated, a Fourth Level Potion could easily fetch hundreds of millions due to demand. But as a resource for cultivation, the federal government maintained strict controls, forbidding exorbitant pricing.
Each potion had an official guideline price, and if a sale exceeded 50% of this benchmark, it could be reported.
Thus, despite their immense value, Fourth Level Potions were priced at only a few million.
Of course, these potions weren't just up for grabs.
To purchase these potions legitimately, one needed to possess a warrior status that matched them.
Even though their prices had been significantly suppressed, these potions weren't something you could simply buy if you wanted to.
Apart from these potions, there was hardly anything else in the upper echelons of the building that would drop for hundreds of millions.
Chu Yi maintained a calm exterior, but inside, he was ablaze with excitement.
Regrettably, with limited funds, there was little he could do.
After two hours, he had hastily toured most of the place.
Chu Yi felt the day had been quite fruitful; at the very least, he had broadened his horizons considerably.
"How about it, little brother? Didn't anything catch your eye?"
"Would you like me to buy it for you?"
To casually offer something worth hundreds of millions was not within the means of an ordinary person.
Naturally, if one were ordinary, they wouldn't be able to casually bring others in.
Chu Yi gave Mrs. Yanran a knowing smile.
"If I accepted, I'd be indebted to you."
Mrs. Yanran returned the smile with a flirtatious laugh, "A big man like you, are you afraid I'll devour you?"
To her surprise, Chu Yi nodded earnestly, "Indeed, as a mere Bronze warrior, I truly fear you might consume me!"
Mrs. Yanran was momentarily taken aback, but then her smile shone even more radiantly.
"You claimed to be a Bronze warrior, little brother, yet you have no warrior's certificate. Could you be deceiving everyone outside?"
Chu Yi could only offer a helpless shrug. "Well, it all comes down to whether you're willing to be deceived by me..."
Mrs. Yanran's smile gleamed once more.
Chu Yi noted that Mrs. Yanran was particularly fond of smiling, and her smile had a distinct allure—she was incredibly seductive.
"Even though I'm not a warrior, I do have a special talent!"
"You are definitely a warrior, little brother; of that, I am certain. But I'm curious about the exact level of warrior you are."
While speaking, Mrs. Yanran produced a sphere from seemingly nowhere.
Chu Yi's eyebrows gave a slight twitch.
Could this be the fabled Happy Wire Ball?
Reading the peculiar look in Chu Yi's eyes, Mrs. Yanran showed no embarrassment. Instead, she leaned in and whispered in his ear, "If you're willing, little brother, I can assure you a delightful experience."
Truth be told, despite Chu Yi's formidable self-control, he was beginning to falter under Mrs. Yanran's relentless charm.
After all, he was still a 'young man.'
With an awkward smile, Chu Yi glanced at the so-called Wire Ball in Mrs. Yanran's hand.
He certainly didn't believe it was what he had initially thought, so he turned his attention back to Mrs. Yanran.
"This is a rudimentary test instrument. It's not entirely precise, but it can give a rough estimate of a person's warrior level."
Chu Yi wore a peculiar expression.
He hadn't anticipated that Mrs. Yanran would carry such a device with her.
Seemingly oblivious to Chu Yi's look, Mrs. Yanran extended the test instrument towards him.
"Come now, let me see the true extent of your abilities."
Chu Yi's lips curled into an enigmatic smile, yet he didn't decline.
He took the test instrument in his hands.
"Just grip it with all your strength."
Chu Yi nodded, then grasped the sphere as Mrs. Yanran had instructed.
Instantly, he felt a mysterious surge of energy within him.
The next moment, a dazzling red hue emerged on the sphere in his grasp.
"Red!"
Mrs. Yanran exclaimed, unable to contain her surprise.
Thankfully, this place was seldom visited, so it was quite peaceful. Otherwise, Mrs. Yanran's outburst would surely have drawn a crowd.
Chu Yi felt somewhat uneasy, but Mrs. Yanran seemed utterly unconcerned.
Her cheeks were flushed with excitement, as if she had just experienced something exhilarating.
Her gaze towards Xia Yuan was filled with desire, almost as if she wanted to devour him.
"I never would have guessed, little brother, that you possess red genetic power!"
"That's the mark of a true anomaly!"
Chu Yi's eyes narrowed slightly. "I haven't awakened any genes yet. Is it still possible to determine my genetic power level?"
