Adams's face contorted in shock.

He hadn't anticipated Chu Yi's unconventional response. Adams was no fool; he knew there were countless ways to die if that was what he truly desired.

There was no need for him to voice it.

Yet, upon hearing Chu Yi's words, a cold sweat broke out on Adams's back.

Chu Yi gestured dismissively. "I assure you, I'm not joking."

Adams found himself at a loss for words.
