C265 The Grand Feast(2)
Let's not dwell on the past, but rather focus on the first time Salin laid eyes on Chu Yi. Back then, Chu Yi was nothing more than a nobody, devoid of any notable qualities.
His physical condition was merely average, and when compared to beings from Third Level civilizations within the Star Domain, Chu Yi's fitness was at the bottom of the barrel.
He likely paled in comparison to many of his peers, being just an ordinary person who had never engaged in cultivation.
In Salin's view, Chu Yi was a regular individual. If he had possessed any martial arts talent, he wouldn't have remained so unremarkable at the age of eighteen.
But now...
Seeing Chu Yi effortlessly subdue numerous formidable foes, Salin realized her mistake.
Chu Yi did have talent, an extraordinary talent for martial arts that was beyond her wildest imagination, surpassing anything she had previously conceived.
It's important to note that Salin had witnessed Chu Yi's growth firsthand.
Many in Redmarsh City might have believed that Chu Yi had already begun his cultivation journey, merely concealing his Chu family identity for strategic reasons.
Or perhaps Chu Yi was inherently discreet, preferring not to reveal his martial arts prowess.
Indeed, that was the prevailing belief in Redmarsh City, largely because Chu Tianfeng had been so intent on safeguarding Chu Yi's secret, leading to widespread speculation about the true nature of his abilities.
But was that the reality?
Even Lee Guoqiang might subscribe to that view, but not Salin!
Lee Guoqiang was merely a Gold, and a wounded High Order Gold at that.
Salin, on the other hand, was a bona fide War God from a Third Level Civilization.
Though she was at the Elementary level, an Earth Level War God, should she unleash her full power, not even the vaunted Sky War God of this civilization would stand a chance against her.
Hailing from a Third Level Civilization, Salin possessed an array of skills, and as the head of the education department, she had honed her ability to assess people.
Thus, Salin was confident that Chu Yi was just an average person, not the enigma others perceived him to be.
In other words, in just under three months, Chu Yi had transformed from an ordinary individual into a being on par with the most elite Diamonds.
Indeed, others might not notice, but Salin has a unique insight that allows her to see through everything!
She recognizes Chu Yi's true capabilities!
Chu Yi is far beyond what one might expect of a High Order or even a Diamond Level existence!
In Salin's eyes, should Chu Yi unleash his full potential, not even a top-tier Diamond Level Great General would likely stand a chance against him!
It's frightening, profoundly so!
Such talent is monstrously unparalleled, leaving even Salin in awe.
Chu Yi's pursuit of the martial path is the correct one!
It's even more fitting than the path of cultivating perception and becoming a distinguished guest among the elite.
After all, how could being someone else's guest of honor ever compare to being a preeminent figure oneself?
The former, even as a guest, remains but a subordinate.
The latter, however, is the master!
That's the fundamental difference.
Chu Yi has chosen wisely.
Salin acknowledges this, yet it's precisely because she acknowledges it that she feels such heartache!
She knows that by participating in the college entrance exams, Chu Yi is representing the youth of the Terran Federation during a pivotal era of civilizational shift, and their destinies...
She takes a deep breath.
"What a shame, such a shame..."
The onlookers, including Gugu Lala, are visibly intrigued. They can't fathom why missing out on a genius like Chu Yi would warrant such a reaction!
Indeed, to them, Chu Yi is merely a genius.
Perhaps in the context of a lower First Level civilization, Chu Yi is an extraordinary prodigy, even among prodigies. But placed within their Third Level civilization, he would still be considered a genius, albeit a top-tier one.
"Teacher Salin, there's no need for concern."
"In fact, many of the geniuses on our academy's Battle Soul Board surpass Chu Yi."
Dickens shares his perspective.
A Gold Realm that rivals Diamond?
The prodigies on the Battle Soul Board are capable of reaching such heights.
And they are on par with the Diamond Level of their own Third Level Civilization!
If they were to compete in this world, then the prodigies from the Ancient Stem Star Domain Federation could certainly contend with those top Diamond Level Great Generals!
Salin remained silent. She had never shared with the students everything she knew about Chu Yi.
The reason was simple: it wasn't necessary. Revealing such information would only serve to dishearten these bright minds.
Imagine if Dickens and the others were to discover that Chu Yi had achieved such formidable strength in a mere two months—they'd be utterly astounded.
Another crucial point was that when Chu Yi stepped forward to represent the Terran Federation in the National Examination, certain outcomes were already inevitable.
In the future...
"There might not be a Chu Yi in the future..."
"Teacher Salin, what did you say?"
Galala gazed at Salin with curiosity.
Salin simply smiled and tenderly patted Galala's head.
"Lala, always remember that the power of a civilization is the bedrock of your own strength."
"Without the support of a formidable civilization, your end..."
"Will be quite tragic..."
Galala felt perplexed, yet she chose to heed her teacher's advice.
She trusted that her teacher would never lead them astray...
...
At the edge of the solar system.
A spatial rift materialized abruptly, as if it had emerged from thin air.
The next instant, a small spacecraft shot out from the gaping maw of the rift.
Then, the hatch opened, and two figures emerged.
They traversed the boundless cosmos on foot.
This was the domain of the War God, accessible only to those of the Sky War God caliber.
Naturally, this referred to the Sky War Gods of a high-order civilization. War Gods from a first-level civilization, like those of the Terran Federation, especially those at the Earth War God level, couldn't even dream of walking in the void, let alone move normally.
This disparity highlighted the differences between the levels of civilization and their fundamental origins.
As they gazed at the distant, blazing star, a hint of intrigue flickered in their eyes.
"That must be the solar system."
"If the coordinates provided by the Speaker of the Terran Federation are accurate, then we are indeed looking at the solar system..."
The two figures observed the solar system and took a deep breath.
At their stature, breathing was no longer a necessity, but rather an ingrained bodily reflex.
"This time, it's finally our turn," came the voice of the Basso Civilization with a sense of long-awaited triumph. "After so long as a Third Level Civilization, we finally get to partake in the grand feast."
"I just hope that this time the Terran Federation will have some more formidable talents. It would justify us bringing our own elite monsters," another figure agreed, nodding thoughtfully.
"Let's hope so," was the reply, tinged with anticipation.
A War God of the Basso Civilization's eyes sparkled with excitement. He turned to gaze at the uniquely designed spaceship behind him. Although not massive compared to some genuine star-class vessels, it was still an imposing behemoth by any other standard.
"My warriors of the Basso Civilization, it won't be long before it's your time to shine," he addressed them. "You've been granted such a chance—make sure you seize it and don't falter when it matters most."
"Remember, the Basso Civilization has paid innumerable prices to secure this opportunity to join the feast..."
