C54 Chase!!

Gaining complete control over one's body is an incredibly arduous task.

Teacher Zhao was profoundly shaken and found it incomprehensible.

To achieve perfect control over one's body is no small feat; not just for a Bronze warrior, but even for a Gold Level Great General or a Diamond Level Great General, it would be a challenge.

How could Chu Yi, a mere eighteen-year-old, possibly accomplish this?

Yet, aside from these two scenarios, Teacher Zhao could not fathom any other explanation.

What Teacher Zhao was pondering was unknown to Chu Yi, and he was in no mood to find out.

Despite his outward appearance of utter calmness, a deep-seated rage was on the verge of consuming him entirely.

That flash of cold light, that sheer force!

Had it not been for the adversary, Lee Zi might have been fatally injured!

Hence...

Kill, kill, kill!

Chu Yi unleashed his most formidable strike, sparing only the power of his primordial spirit.

The faint sonic boom even made the surrounding woods quiver.

With more than twenty tons of force focused into a single point, even steel could be effortlessly shattered!

The moment that cold light flashed, Chu Yi had already pinpointed his opponent's location.

There was no escape!

"Kill!"

With a thunderous roar, Chu Yi's punch exploded forth.

Bushes were upturned in an instant, and countless blades of grass were obliterated by the tremendous force, leaving a trail of destruction that was nothing short of staggering.

Suddenly, a pained cry pierced the air, and a figure darted out from the ravaged underbrush, fleeing at an inconceivable speed.

Though it vanished in the blink of an eye, both Chu Yi and Teacher Zhao had caught a glimpse.

It was a Demonic Beast with the appearance of a leopard, but significantly larger than any leopard they had seen in the previous world.

Spanning over four meters in length and standing more than two meters tall, it was an absolute behemoth to Chu Yi. Yet, in the face of Chu Yi, this colossal creature lacked the courage to fight and chose instead to flee.

"Run?!"

Chu Yi uttered coldly, swiftly pursuing the creature.

Teacher Zhao, aboard the flying car, did not intervene. He remained silent, even as Chu Yi charged heedlessly in pursuit.

After all, such reckless advancement in the wilderness was a grave mistake...

The Demonic Leopard was in a frenzied flight, with Chu Yi relentlessly pursuing it from behind. As a Bronze Level Demonic Beast, the leopard's speed was among the pinnacle of its class, a fact that Chu Yi could see all too clearly.

Had it been an ordinary agility-focused Bronze Demonic Beast, Chu Yi would have overtaken it long ago. But this chase had stretched on for quite some time. Despite the gap between them steadily closing, Chu Yi had yet to catch up.

He wasn't sure if the Demonic Leopard's speed was naturally this horrifying or if it had tapped into some reserve of fear-induced power after being gravely wounded by him. Either way, the beast was incredibly fast.

But Chu Yi had a feeling that it wouldn't be long before he caught up. Yes, success was just around the corner!

And now, the distance was closing, ever so close!

If he could only harness the power of his primordial spirit, Chu Yi could slay the Demonic Leopard in a heartbeat, leaving it no chance to escape. However, with Teacher Zhao observing from the void, he was constrained.

His secret was meant for the eyes of a select few: his parents, Lee Zi, and even Principal Lee Guoqiang, if absolutely necessary. But it was not for Teacher Zhao.

So, despite his urgent desire to slay the Demonic Beast that had injured Lee Zi, Chu Yi refrained from unleashing his ultimate power.

But now, it seemed the moment was almost upon him.

As he gazed at the Demonic Leopard now within arm's reach, the fury in Chu Yi's eyes was unmistakable.

Yet, in that instant, a massive palm descended from above! Had Chu Yi's primordial spirit not been constantly vigilant, sensing his surroundings, he might have been crushed by the sudden appearance of the palm.

The force of the blow was immense, certainly exceeding ten tons. Even his evolved body could not have withstood such a devastating strike.

As Chu Yi looked upon the Demonic Leopard, soon to be felled by his hand, his eyes brimmed with a deep sense of frustration. But at this moment, he was left with no choice.

His body came to a sudden halt, suspended in midair.

Such a feat, seemingly defying the laws of physics, could only be achieved by someone with supreme mastery over their own body. Teacher Zhao, tailing him in the flying car, now had no doubt that Chu Yi was one of those rare individuals who could exert complete control over his physique.

"Monster..."

That was the word Teacher Zhao used to describe Chu Yi. But this was no ordinary monster; it wasn't a reference to innate monstrous talent.

In Teacher Zhao's view, Chu Yi's brand of monstrousness was far more fearsome.

He was acutely aware that if Chu Yi were to awaken his genetic power, he would become a being many times more formidable than Lee Zi.

Chu Yi's gaze fixed on the towering demonic ape, over ten meters tall, as a hint of crimson flickered in his eyes.

Yet another Bronze Level Demonic Beast, and at the peak of its class no less.

This demonic ape seemed even more daunting than the Steelback Bear he and Lee Zi had first encountered, not just in size but in strength as well.

The one consolation for Chu Yi was that the demonic leopard in the distance hadn't fled. Instead, it lurked nearby, watching, seemingly waiting for the right moment to deliver a deadly strike to its foe, Chu Yi.

Now, even Teacher Zhao, perched atop the flying car, seemed to sense that something was amiss.

Logically, after the Steelback Bear had been slain by them, there shouldn't have been an appearance of such an elite Demonic Beast in the area for some time.

Yet, who could have predicted the emergence of the lizard beast yesterday, the demonic leopard today, and now this giant ape?

This marked the fourth Bronze Demonic Beast in quick succession.

It's true that the wilderness could occasionally harbor great demons.

But such occurrences were rare, and the wilderness was vast. This dense forest, along with the surrounding territory, seemed like a mere speck in the grand expanse of the Adirang Region.

For a Bronze Demonic Beast to emerge in such a place was already a rarity. The big demon they had slain on the first day was likely the ruler of this large domain.

But now...

The sudden appearance of four Bronze Demonic Beasts in such a short span of time was a clear sign that something was amiss, even to the simplest of minds.

Taking a deep breath, Teacher Zhao called out, "Chu Yi, do you need my assistance?"

This was no longer just a test; Chu Yi had come here seeking vengeance. Teacher Zhao, who was meant to be the guiding instructor, should have intervened, but mysteriously, he had agreed to Chu Yi's request and had personally escorted him to this place.

Chu Yi glanced at the demonic leopard nearby, making sure it wouldn't flee, before stating icily, "No need."

He had once held Teacher Zhao in high regard, but that respect had vanished in an instant after the incident with Lee Zi.

Maybe Teacher Zhao hadn't grasped the gravity of the situation then, but when Lee Zi was in immediate danger, Chu Yi was convinced that Teacher Zhao had the capability to intervene. Even if he couldn't have completely shielded Lee Zi, he could have at least mitigated the harm. Yet, he did nothing, seemingly paralyzed by shock.

Chu Yi couldn't tell if Teacher Zhao's reaction was genuine or not. However, after enduring so much hostility in this world, Chu Yi had grown to view others with suspicion, except for those he knew from his past life.

Teacher Zhao gave a nonchalant shrug. He was a Gold Level General, a rank on par with that of a Great Demon. True, he had only recently advanced to this level and was just on the cusp of being considered a Great Demon. Against a true Great Demon, he'd likely be defeated instantly. But when it came to Bronze Level Demonic Beasts, Teacher Zhao could easily overpower them.

Since Chu Yi preferred to handle things himself, Teacher Zhao was content to stand back. His only concern was to ensure Chu Yi didn't die; after all, despite having brought Chu Yi here on his own initiative, he was still under scrutiny. Failing to act in a life-threatening situation would not bode well for his return to Redmarsh.

Chu Yi's gaze fixed on the formidable giant ape towering over ten meters tall, which in turn was scrutinizing him. This demonic ape was clearly more intelligent than the Steelback Bear, not flying into a rage just because it had failed to crush its opponent with a single blow.

Both were sizing each other up. While Chu Yi and Lee Zi had dispatched the Steelback Bear with apparent ease due to their synergy and the bear's folly, Chu Yi alone would face a greater challenge. He was confident in his ability to triumph, but he knew it wouldn't be nearly as effortless.

Chu Yi now faced a demonic ape, a creature far more formidable than the Steelback Bear he had encountered before.

Had Chu Yi's primary target not been the cunning demonic leopard at his side, he would have had ample time to engage and devise numerous strategies to avoid serious injury.

But the situation had changed.

Chu Yi had previously experienced the sly nature of the demonic leopard.

He was certain that if any issues arose in his fight with the demonic ape, the leopard would seize the opportunity to flee at once!

Thus, Chu Yi's options were limited.

He inhaled deeply, striving to maintain his composure.

He pondered his next move.

Clearly, though, the demonic ape wouldn't afford him much time to deliberate.

For in the blink of an eye, the fearsome beast had sprung into action, its massive form surprisingly agile.

With a single step, it had already closed the distance, confronting Chu Yi head-on.
