C96 Lee Zi Battle Body!

"Fourth Uncle, it's been six minutes already. Why hasn't Lee Zi come out?"

Chu Yi did his best to appear anxious.

"Could there be a problem with the instrument?"

Chu Yun waved her hand with a reassuring smile, "Impossible, the instrument is fine. Just relax."

"It's incredible that even as an ordinary person, Lee Zi remains so exceptional!"

Chu Yun hadn't anticipated that after Lee Zi had relinquished her genetic power, she would still manage to endure for a full six minutes. That was quite impressive.

"Don't worry. Lee Zi will definitely emerge within the next seven minutes at most."

...

One minute later.

"Fourth Uncle, are you sure there's no issue?"

The concern on Chu Yi's face deepened.

Chu Yun remained composed, though a touch of bewilderment flickered in her eyes, "Relax. In another minute or two, Lee Zi will surely come out!"

...

Two minutes later.

"Fourth Uncle..."

"Just three more minutes!"

...

Thirteen minutes after Lee Zi entered the test instrument.

"Fourth Uncle..."

"Wait..."

...

Forty minutes later.

"Fourth Uncle, about Lee Zi, she..."

"Be quiet!"

"Oh..."

...

Fifty minutes later.

Chu Yun's face was grim as she observed Chu Yi's reluctance to speak.

Despite her stern demeanor, the astonishment in her eyes was unmistakable.

The events unfolding before her were simply too astounding, so much so that Chu Yun was at a loss for words.

Fifty minutes...

A mere five minutes was indicative of War God potential, while surpassing ten minutes was almost a certain sign of a destined War God.

His own record of thirteen minutes had once been the most extraordinary among the Chu family siblings.

Chu Yun was aware that his gifts were not the pinnacle within the Terran Federation.

But it's all relative!

After all, their era was hailed as the Gold generation, with a multitude of prodigies emerging from every region of the Terran Federation. Each one was a dominant force in their own time.

Among them were some invincible talents, individuals who could make their mark in the annals of history.

In comparison to those invincible talents, Chu Yun was relatively ordinary, merely a genius. Yet, in any other era, he too would have been considered an invincible talent.

Despite his efforts, Chu Yun had only managed a thirteen-minute record. Yet, there was something he hadn't shared with Chu Yi. His thirteen-minute achievement wasn't immediate; it was the result of relentless training. It wasn't his initial record; it was his personal best to date. But Lee Zi was on a whole different level—fifty minutes and counting, with no sign of reaching her limit. At that moment, Chu Yun began to question the validity of Chu Yi's previous statements. Could the test instrument be faulty?

Dismissing any other explanation, Chu Yun was convinced there must be an issue with the device. However, upon closer inspection, he had to discard that notion. The instrument, a product of the human race from the Eighth Level Origin Civilization, was not prone to easy malfunction. If it were, that would be the true surprise. Moreover, the instrument was operating just as it always had, leaving Chu Yun with no grounds to claim it was broken.

"Chu Yi, are you keeping something from me?" Chu Yun mused, catching a glimpse of Chu Yi trying to maintain a serious expression while a smile betrayed him. It dawned on Chu Yun that there was more to the story.

Confronted with Chu Yun's increasingly suspicious gaze, Chu Yi realized he could no longer keep the secret. He had prepared an excuse, though. "Fourth Uncle, here's the situation," Chu Yi began. "It's true that Lee Zi has shattered her genetic power, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise."

A blessing in disguise? How could that be possible when the genetic power was destroyed? In the vast universe, despite the myriad of names and methods across different civilizations, the essence of cultivation was the same—unlocking the hidden potential within one's genes. Genetic power was the universally acknowledged path of cultivation, superior to all other methods. And yet, Chu Yi spoke of a blessing in disguise. Was there another force at play?

"Warrior Body..." Chu Yi uttered softly, leaving Chu Yun momentarily speechless. Shock flickered in Chu Yun's eyes. A Warrior Body? It was inconceivable! Warrior Bodies were unfamiliar to the average person, but to those with knowledge, the term resonated with awe and respect.

Chu Yun, who was privy to countless secrets, understood the profound significance of the term "Warrior Body" all too well.

"Impossible!" That was Chu Yun's immediate reaction.

Chu Yi remained silent, simply watching Chu Yun with a smile.

After a brief silence and a slight tremble, Chu Yun raised his head to look at Chu Yi again. "Yi, do you understand what a Warrior Body is?"

Chu Yi nodded in response.

"And do you grasp the significance of a Warrior Body?"

Chu Yi continued to nod.

"Are you absolutely certain that what we're dealing with is a Warrior Body?"

This time, Chu Yi's nod was weighted with gravity.

"Fourth Uncle, it truly is a Warrior Body, and not just any, but an exceptionally powerful one!"

Chu Yi didn't specify which Warrior Body it was, and Chu Yun didn't inquire further. With the universe harboring innumerable Warrior Bodies, no one could be sure which one Lee Zi had awakened.

"Yi, do you have any idea how many Warrior Bodies our human race has seen so far?"

How many Warrior Bodies in total?

Chu Yi shook his head; such knowledge was beyond him.

"Twelve!"

"Our entire human race has only ever produced twelve Warrior Bodies!"

"Since humanity entered the era of spiritual energy resurgence, over a thousand War Gods have emerged on Earth. Yet, among them, there have only ever been twelve Warrior Bodies!"

"And that's solely due to the unique nature of our Terran Federation!"

"In a civilization comparable to the Terran Federation, not just a few hundred years, but thousands, tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of years might pass without the emergence of a single Warrior Body!"

"Consider this: a typical Third Level civilization has a population hundreds or even thousands of times greater than our Quasi-Second Level Federation, and in many aspects, such as physical constitution, they far surpass us."

"Yet, even within a Third Level Civilization, it would take thousands of years to give birth to a single Warrior Body!"

"Now you understand what being a War God entails..."

Chu Yun's eyes were bloodshot, a touch of frenzy flickering within them.

Chu Yi remained quiet. He had always known that War Gods were scarce, a fact Lee Zi had mentioned to him before.

Neither Lee Zi nor Chu Yi had anticipated how challenging it would be to awaken a War God. The scarcity of War Gods was astonishingly high!

"Are you certain that Lee Zi has truly awakened a War God?"

Chu Yun's demeanor was more solemn than ever. He had emphasized the terror and incredibility of possessing a War God to make Chu Yi understand the gravity of the situation.

Chu Yi gazed at the earnest Chu Yun and, with a radiant smile, nodded vigorously.

"Yes, absolutely, it's a War God!"

A War God!

Lee Zi had actually awakened a War God!

This signified that the Chu family might one day nurture a being of Sovereign Level!

Indeed, a War God symbolized a different echelon, a domain that transcended all expectations.

While it was merely a possibility, even the slightest chance was enough to compel Third Level and Fourth Level civilizations to invest all their resources in cultivation.

After all, achieving such a status meant...

The Supreme Green Lotus once intimidated all civilizations below the Fifth Level with his sheer power alone.

Such is the might of a Sovereign!

Time continued its steady march.

Finally, an hour had elapsed...

...

The glow from the test instrument eventually faded completely.

Chu Yun's eyes sparkled with anticipation; the test results were in.

Lee Zi opened her eyes the next moment.

Upon awakening, Lee Zi's face bore a mix of emotions, her gaze fixed solely on Chu Yi.

Even though she had previously believed every word Chu Yi said and was convinced that the War God he had helped her awaken was invincible, Lee Zi had also considered it to be merely wishful thinking on her part.

But this test...

Lee Zi had truly experienced the essence of the Ultimate War God!

She had never felt such a thrilling sense of combat before.

The tests were fundamentally similar, and Lee Zi had gone through them before, barely scraping by and often quickly succumbing to defeat.

Moreover, the test equipment she had used before paled in comparison to what she had just utilized.

The caliber of her adversaries was not even in the same league.

Yet, even against those lesser foes, Lee Zi found them challenging to overcome.

But this time was different...

Chu Yi had explained that her Battle Body would grow increasingly powerful as it reached the later stages; the early stages hardly compared.

He had also mentioned that Lee Zi's Battle Body was unlike the Ultimate Battle Bodies found in the Immortal Demon World – Chu Yi had imbued it with a wholly new level of evolution.

This meant that Lee Zi's potential was boundless. If she could make it to the future, she might even surpass the recorded limits of the Battle Body!

Even without harnessing any other power, the mere presence of this Battle Body meant Lee Zi was already a force to be reckoned with.

The impact of this realization was truly beyond words...

"How do you feel, Lee Zi?"

Chu Yi asked, his face etched with concern, while Chu Yun managed to conceal the excitement in his eyes.

Despite Chu Yi's claim that Lee Zi had awakened the Battle Body on her own, only a fool would believe such a thing.

Lee Zi was just Lee Zi – previously considered a prodigy, but in Chu Yun's view, that was all there was to it.

The Lee Zi of the past had nothing extraordinary about her.

But Chu Yi was no ordinary individual!

Chu Yun knew this all too well.

To think that Lee Zi's metamorphosis had nothing to do with Chu Yi was something Chu Yun could never accept...
