The Primal Chaos Cauldron and the Pill Refining Furnace were different. The Primal Chaos Cauldron had no lid, and the Pill Refining Furnace had a lid, so it was actually much easier to refine the pills. Of course, there was a difference in the way one used the cauldron, but no matter what
