C49 "Kill them all!"

One after another, the wolves started coming out of their hiding spots. Some were on the mountains, rocks, and even hiding behind the logs and trees. They were uncountable in number. It was almost as if they were ants on an anthill.

From every direction they looked, there were werewolves of all sizes growling and barking at them. In the background, there were even more howls heard by the passing minute.

Some of the wolves were as tall as the trees. While some of the other wolves were more humanoid in stature; they werewolves with the figure of a man. They were also tall, just about 8-12 feet tall. Another greater portion of the wolves were actual wolves. However, these wolves were not the only thing that grabbed the attention of everyone in the forest. It was a rather unique and indescribable wolf species to be exact. They had pitch-black fur and beady black eyes. They were also small in stature, compared to the other wolves present. Leaving them equal to the normal wolves in height. These wolves were the most visible amongst all the other wolves. Filling almost any visible space in the forest.

They are shadow wolves. Wolves are rarely seen but heard. Their tales are only told in storybooks and bestiaries. Anything after that, one would be lucky to hear of such a tale. That's if they were lucky enough to live.

When Jedidiah saw the wolves, he was instantly dumbfounded. He could only recall seeing two types of wolves when he was running through the woods. However, now, the story is different. They are not just two packs of wolves living here, but 4 different packs of werewolves present in this forest.

However, Osiris squinted his eyes as he struggled to see the wolves hiding inside the dark spaces of the forest. He was trying to Identify the uniquely black wolves, as all he could see were the black eyes which for some reason looked white from his angle.

Focusing on one specific pair of eyes, Osiris noticed something cool. The pair of eyes vanished from its original position without making any noise or footprints behind. All that he could see were the leaves that flustered in the air every time the wolf moved.

Struggling to make out what it was, it took a while before Osiris could recognize the wolves. Filled with ecstasy, he pointed at one of the wolves and said, "Oh. My. God! I can't believe it!" Osiris exclaimed.

"What, what is it?" Malia shouted out loud resting her back against Camille as they watched intently for any, and every suspicious sign and movement the wolves made. They watched the wolves both on the rocks, on the ground, and even the dozens of eyes in the woods looking at them.

" I can't believe it. Those wolves with the white eyes are Shadow Wolves! They are extremely rare! They are so ancient, very few stories are recorded of them in books.

Some people called them the demon wolves, while others called them the angel of death. These wolves are highly viscous, capable of killing people without leaving any trace or scents behind. So, if you like your lives, BE VERY CAREFUL!" Osiris warned.

After Osiris finished talking, a brown-coated huge wolf came out from somewhere within the first and walked towards them. His present was so domineering, all the wolves lowered their heads as they paid their respect to their alpha.

While this scene seemed to startle Camelle and the others, Jedidiah and Osiris weren't scared at all. This big brown wolf didn't look scary at all. It was just extremely healthy and huge. It didn't show any sign of aggression, nor did it show any sign of fear.

As for Jedidiah, he was surprised. He seemed to vaguely remember the wolf. This is because this was the exact wolf that was chasing him at one point while he was running for his dear life. Little did he know that he was being chased by the alpha of this enormous pack.

Osiris on the other hand was amazed by this huge brown wolf. He never imagined a wolf being so huge and tall in his life! Even its paw prints were enormous! If one was not careful, they'll mistake it for a bump in the forest and walk straight into their doom. Or worse, one can mistake the footprint for another creature, subsequently not knowing how they died in the end.

While the wolf was walking, it seemed to be focused on everyone present. However, it was more focused on Jedidiah and Osiris. As for the rest, it completely ignored their existence. While it was approaching them, a weird phenomenon occurred; with each approaching step, the size of the wolf was shrinking. It shrank so much, even to the size of a 'normal' wolf.

After a while, the wolf stopped shrinking. Instead, it was taking the form of a human being; shedding its wolf-like attributes. Even its tooth, nails, and tail were contracting (shrinking). In addition, while the wolf was changing into a human, its facial features gradually took the shape of a human face.

Plus, the furs on the wolf fell off, revealing smooth human-like skin. After a while, a human being was standing naked in front of them. Disgusted by this, Camelle and every other person present covered their eyes. While their eyes were closed, another wolf came out of the forest with a bag wrapped around it. Inside the bag, there was a fresh pair of clothes inside from which the alpha dressed into.

When he was fully dressed, he looked over at them and laughed out loud.

"HAHA! You guys are funny." He said.

"You can look at me now, everything has been taken care of" The alpha added.

Opening their eyes one after another, they were quite shocked. In front of them stood a muscular man. He looked like he was in his 30's. His whole body had everything that attracted women. He was tall, had brown curly hair, hazel eyes, curly well-modeled jawlines, a hot breathtaking body, a curly beard that made him even more attractive, and nice tattoos all over his body. He even had a pair of golden earrings on.

"Ah, it's a werewolf! You're a werewolf! This is crazy, I can't believe it." Osiris shouted in surprise.

Annoyed by Osiris's statement, the alpha replied "Yes, I'm a werewolf, and so? What would you do about it?"

Seeing the frustration on the alpha's face, Osiris shut up his mouth.

On the other hand, Camille and Malia were mesmerized by the alpha. They were having a hard time focusing. They had forgotten about the wolves around them, as they focused on the alpha's body. To Jose and Bright, it was embarrassing. These two girls couldn't control themselves for a minute, now they've let down their guards and were attracted to the alpha in front of them.

Ignoring the piercing gaze of the girls, the alpha said, "Why are you guys breaking into my territory? Is this your home? As if breaking in was not enough, you guys went further and started shooting wildly in my TERRITORY! How dare you, who do you think you are?!"

The alpha said as he let out a low growl. His growl was so low, its rhythm could be felt in the hearts of everyone around.

If that's how powerful his low growls are, imagine it when he's angry.

Not waiting for Malia and her party to speak, Jedidiah went ahead to explain the situation at hand. "I'm sorry I rudely invaded your home. However, it was completely out of my control. As you saw, while you were chasing me, I was running away from them" Jedidiah said as he pointed his accusatory fingers at Camille and her group.

"Wait, what? We- We...what are you even talking about? You're a wanted fugitive for killing so many people. Many of which, involved so many people's loved ones. Their sons, daughters, wives, husbands, and even grandchildren! You deserve to be dead! You killed my sister!" Malia shouted angrily.

She wanted to walk over to Jedidiah and finish the job. However, she was stopped by Jose who was fearing for his dear life. He knew that if he let Malia go over and kill Jedidiah, the alpha may feel disrespected, and might kill them all to satiate his anger. And so, he grabbed her hand to restrain her.

Not seeming to care about this, the alpha turned over to Jedidiah, as he awaited a response from him. Looking at Jedidiah, he noticed something. Jedidiah wasn't talking, which meant that he was indeed guilty of the accusations.

"Are you going to speak, or should I help you speak?" The alpha asked impatiently.

"Oh, forgive me. Uh, what they said is not exactly true. You see, I don't fully know how to control my powers yet, and this can lead to a lot of dangerous things. I got angry, and at someone, and accidentally killed a lot of people." Jedidiah explained.

Enraged by this reply, Malia wanted to cause trouble for Jedidiah. So, she shouted out loud saying, "Liar! Tell me, how many people did you kill that day? Tell me?!"

"SHUT UP!" The alpha shouted.

"I don't care about any of those. I asked a question, and I need an answer. Why did you guys break into my territory!" The alpha asked aggressively.

He was growing impatient, and he wanted an answer from them. If not, there's no saying what he would do to them.

Looking at them, everyone seemed scared and didn't want to talk. Disgusted and angry, the wolves surrounding them seemed to know what the alpha wanted. So, they started enclosing on Jedidiah, Osiris, Malia, Jose, Bright, and Camille.

As the wolves got closer, Jedidiah and the rest started coming closer to each other. Unknowing, as they were coming closer to each other, they were also coming closer to the alpha; who was angry.

They were all focused on the wolves, so, none of them seemed to remember the alpha's question. At this point, the alpha had run very thin on patience. Thanks to that, the alpha got furious and let out an angry growl.

After which, a humanoid-looking wolf jumped behind Jose's back. It held his two hands and dug its nails deep into his body. Thanks to the weight of the werewolf, Jose fell on his knees as he cried out in pain.

Unfortunately for him, it was all over. While it bit him, the crackling noise of his skull breaking could be heard by everyone. This was the cracking noise of Jose's skull and bones. Not long after, Jose's head was decapitated. This gruesome scene all happened before the very eyes of everyone present.

Due to this, everyone's attention was brought back to the alpha. However, it was already too late for them. As the alpha was already pissed off at them. He had long since run out of patience.

With a thundering roar, the alpha shouted, "KILL THEM ALL!"
