C7 A distant Memory

The sun's warmth embraced me, a wide grin painted across my face in the midst of a flowery garden. Colorful petals danced in the gentle breeze, and the scent of blooming flowers filled the air.

Each step led me deeper into this serene oasis, where the vibrant colours of nature painted a tranquil escape.

Butterflies fluttered, adding their delicate grace to the enchanting scene. As I strolled, the rustling leaves whispered tales of a peaceful coexistence between earth and life.

Time seemed to pause in this garden, allowing me to savor the simple joy of being surrounded by nature's symphony. .

My favorite place in the world and he had brought me here.

In the enchanting Garden of Eden, surrounded by vibrant flowers and the gentle rustle of leaves, I looked at Jaxon while grinning.

I had always wanted to come to the garden of Eden but I never got the time, all I could do was watch the advertisement on the phone.

The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of blooming blossoms as he looks at me with a gleam in his dark blue eyes.

Before I can express my surprise, I blurt out, "The Garden of Eden? How do you know I wanted to come here?"

Jaxon smiles, a hint of excitement dancing in his eyes. "I know you, Emberline," he says softly. "You speak about it all the time, at dinner, in the bathroom and even in your sleep"

"In my sleep?! Are you trying to say I talk in my sleep?"

Jaxon laughed and I could not help but his his shoulder, "It's not funny."

Still chuckling a bit he patted my head, "I think it's cute. Just like you."

I couldn't help but look away shyly as I could feel the faint blush on my cheeks.

"You are being extra romantic today."

He didn't say anything, instead he takes my hand, and we stroll through the garden, the sunlight filtering through the leaves above. The beauty around us seems to magnify the significance of the moment. I can't help but feel a mix of curiosity and warmth, wondering what he has planned.

We reach a secluded spot adorned with a breathtaking array of flowers, roses, lilies and dandelions, the colors were too beautiful. It was harmonizing like a painting. Jaxon takes a deep breath and turns to face me, his eyes reflecting a mixture of love and nerves.

"Is everything alright, love?" I couldn't help but ask as he was hardly ever nervous in front of me.

"I brought you here because this place mirrors the beauty you bring into my life," he begins, his voice steady but filled with emotion. "Emberline, you've been my sunshine in the storm, and I want to spend every moment with you. Will you make me the happiest person and be my forever?"

My heart races as he kneels down, producing a small velvet box.

Oh my God…don't tell me it's happening?

With bated breath, I nod, overwhelmed by a mix of joy and disbelief. Jaxon opens the velvet box, revealing a glistening ring that sparkles in the dappled sunlight of the Garden of Eden. The delicate beauty of the moment wraps around us as he takes my hand and slips the ring onto my finger.

The ring, a shimmering masterpiece, held a radiant diamond embraced by delicate swirls of white gold.

In an instant, he swept me off my feet, spinning around, laughter bubbling from our shared happiness.

Then I had an eureka moment, I hit him instantly on the shoulder shocking him. "What about your parents? I'm not a princess; you're the prince, I don't even know, would they accept me? I don't know how to curtsey or…"

Before I could finish, he interrupted with a kiss, his soft lips against mine, distracting my mind, stepping back he declared, "Let's worry about that later. For now, I just want to enjoy you. You are already my princess."

But that was nothing but a dream…a far away dream that I wished never existed.

A silent tear traced down my cheek as I fluttered my eyes opened. The question that burned my mind the most was, how did someone so sweet, so cute, so handsome could have the heart to cheat on me? To hurt me the worst way possible?

Just how and why?
