"Don't say that again, Zach. You are like my own son, you are the mate that the universe has destined for Anastasha, and regarding Velsan he does have to take responsibility for what he did so that he understands that every action always has consequences," Victor said while smiling at Zachary the Alpha Bakorsan Pack who is also his son-in-law.

Zachary then returned the smile of his father-in-law who was also a Lord in the Pickser Pack.

"Well, my purpose here is to provide information that I have captured Velsan and will be temporarily detained in the Bakorsan Pack dungeon. Then I'll take my leave, Father. Thank you very much for your time," Zachary decided to say goodbye to Victor.

"You're welcome. Give my regards to Anastasha and my grandchildren, Zach."

"Yes of course I will, Father."

Zachary then transformed into a werewolf with golden brown fur and gave a long howl as a sign of goodbye to Victor which was nodded back by the Lord vampire.

"I hope you succeed in making Velsan realize his mistake, Zach." Victor monologued as he began to enter his residence.

The two black-robed figures who had been listening to Victor and Zachary's conversation behind the large tree began to morph into vampires with glowing red eyes as well as emerging and elongated fangs.

"Why do you have so much faith in that arrogant alpha?" One of the vampires asked the vampire next to him in a resentful tone.

"I don't know, but as we know Zach isn't just any alpha he has something no other alpha has," the vampire with golden brown hair replied.

"Velix! Virsen!"

"Sorry we eavesdropped on your conversation again with that arrogant alpha, Dad," said one of the vampires named Velix, whose hair was the exact blond color of Lord Victor's-his own father.

Virsen the golden-brown-haired vampire began to bow to his father, pulling his twin Velix into a bow as well.

Victor nodded his head and touched the shoulders of his twin sons who were the younger siblings of Anastasha and Velsan.

"I don't know how many times I have to tell you not to eavesdrop on other people's conversations, and I hope this is the last time. I'm really tired of having to give you punishment over and over again. And this time go to the library and study well, I have to leave this afternoon."

"Alright, Father. We apologize and promise not to do it again," Virsen said regretfully.

"And what about you, Velix?"

Velix sighed and said, "Well, Father, I also apologize for eavesdropping on your conversation with that arrogant Alpha and..."

"Velix!"

"Alright I apologize, Father for eavesdropping on your conversation with Zach--ah no I mean with Brother-in-Law, yes I apologize sincerely." Velix repeated his apology as requested by Victor just now.

"Good, keep referring to Zachary as your brother-in-law, Velix. I'll go first and you two go to the library immediately!"

"Yes, Father!"

"Come home soon, Father!"

Veron did not return to the orphanage in the end, but instead walked away from the orphanage with weak steps and a battered face as he exited the school warehouse.

"Need help?"

Veron weakly shook his head, still walking away ignoring the person who had just offered to help.

"You don't seem to be alright, I'd be happy to help you." The person who appeared to be a teenage girl offered help to Veron again.

And again Veron ignored the teenage girl wearing another school uniform. He continued to walk with weak steps and seemed to have given up on life, his gaze was also so empty.

"My name is Valery, how about you?" The girl who introduced herself as Valery smiled widely at Veron after successfully stopping the boy.

Veron sighed and looked at Valery who was standing right in front of him, blocking his way to go further.

"What do you want?" Veron asked in a flat tone, his face seemingly expressionless.

Valery maintained a smile on her face and extended her hand towards Veron who was looking at her questioningly.

"I want to help you, and yes before helping you I would like to get to know you first. Let's rephrase, so my name is Valery I..."

Veron ignored Valery's babble and patted the teenage girl on the shoulder and resumed his steps down the sidewalk in Verlaten City.

"Gosh I was trying to be nice, but yeah well he seems like a fun person to be friends with." Valery said to herself while staring at Veron's back who was moving away from her, but soon Valery chased after Veron feeling curious about the teenage boy whose face was battered and expressionless.

"Hey wait for me!"

Veron who heard the exclamation chose to ignore it, even when Valery was already walking hand in hand next to him.

"Want me to help you heal your wounds?" asked Valery as she busily opened her gray backpack.

Veron was still walking, ignoring Valery's question.

Who cared even if the wound would rot? Well, Veron didn't even care about himself anymore, he wanted to ignore every single thing on his body, he no longer wanted to live in this horrible world, a world that made him feel so sick and wasted.

Veron never knew what his father or mother looked like, nor did he know the reason why he was thrown into the orphanage. Some of his friends at the orphanage said that they weren't actually banished, but others said that they certainly were, otherwise why would they be at the orphanage? Well they are and Veron considers himself an outcast, he was not welcomed into this world by his parents which is why he ended up in the orphanage.

"Hey wait a minute, your wound could invite..."

Suddenly Valery stopped speaking and stopped stepping making Veron also stopped then looked at the teenage girl in surprise.

"Invite? What do you mean?" asked Veron who somehow found Valery's words strange.

Valery looked a bit uneasy but then smiled, "Yes, of course your wound will invite viruses and can cause infection, so let me help you treat the wound on your face," Valery explained, making Veron look at her even more surprised.

But the next unexpected event made Valery pull Veron's arm away, leaving Veron behind while Valery blocked the figure in the long black robe that was just about to injure Veron.

"Leave him to me!" exclaimed the black-robed figure whose face neither Veron nor Valery recognized.

"I won't!" Valery shouted back fearlessly.

While Veron looked confused, and now even the teenage boy was shocked when the black-robed figure transformed into a wolf.

"Wh-what's going on?"

Valery turned his head toward Veron and said, "You stay put I'll take care of it!"

Veron actually obeyed Valery's words just now. That was until he saw Valery start fighting against the werewolf where Valery turned into a vampire. Veron was completely shocked and couldn't believe what he saw this afternoon.

"Wh-what am-I hallucinating?" Veron was so shocked that he hit his face repeatedly especially when he saw Valery horribly strangling the werewolf.

And the next second Veron had collapsed unconscious just like that.
