Let it burn

Her world ended not in a firey blaze but in a hushed whisper
Raelia was a child who grew up with enough to coat the world two times before she lost everything
It started with the plague that killed everything and everyone she loved, then the earth shook madly tearing apart the place she called home, the mountains cried tears of molten lava sweeping away what was left of her 
What was left of humanity, the hope for humanity, was forced beneath the surface in an attempt to hide, to survive, but their struggle were futile
 one by one the people around her faded till she was all that remained, resigning to faith she closed her eyes accepting the cold embrace of death only to be jerked awake by the crueler hands of faith, her gaze landing on a pair of striking gold
The unknown man stood above her, screaming at her, begging her to save them, to tell them how to save their world
Where was she? How did she get here? Why was there life once more? And why should she help them? Why should she save him when no one saved her?
