Bound by blood: Forced commitment

Octavia Argent is abducted from New York by Alexander Knight and taken to his realm(a supernatural realm she never knew existed). Alexander is convinced that she is his mate which she finds hard to believe. 
 He tries to explain the mystery of her existence to her but she only wants to go home. He assigns a care taker, Abigail to watch over her. At first she intends to just play along with Abigail to buy herself time to escape. However she finds that Abigail is a true friend and so begins to warm up to her. When Alexander tells her about his plan to introduce her as his mate during a banquet, she finally makes up her mind to escape. On the day of the banquet, she acts warm and relaxed that even Alexander is relieved that she is finally warming up to him. 
 Her plan was to sneak away while everyone was busy with the preparations for the banquet as other clan Masters were going to be present. 
Towards evening she tells Alexander that she wants to go for a walk alone. Alexander, anxious to please her permits her to go alone. It was past dusk so no one could see her face as she walked by. She got to the entrance and instead of seeing a gate, she saw something that looked like a portal, she tried going through it but she bounced back. While she stood there she heard the sound of his voice thundering obviously giving others to find her. She is caught and taken back to the clan.
She is dressed up and taken to the banquet where Alexander introduces her as his betrothed.
 As time passes she figures that she has feelings for him although she is denying her feelings. She finally sees how good he is after he let her go see her family although for a brief moment. She finally let herself express the love she had hidden for a long time.
 And just like that a love story that was never meant to be begins to bloom.
