Yes a 15 chapter fight scene. In the first 36 chapters, about 15 of those chapters are dedicated to a super serious fight scene against people much stronger than the mc. Who wants that at the very beginning of a novel? I'm not saying the entire novel sucks, because I had to stop at c36. It may be good in the later chapters. I'm just saying it couldn't draw me in.

Stopped at chapter 36. Hard to get into.
It's like the writer kept getting distracted. In just 36 chapters, there is so much convoluted shit. Like 4 or 5 different minor villains. A hidden sect. So much shit is being thrown against the wall in an effort to see what sticks. It's dull because the subplots change every other chapter. Except for when the writer put in a 15 chapter long fight scene.

4. Writer stripped away the only good thing about a modern novel. The slice of life overpoweredness of the mc at the very beginning. Rather than give that small moment of the mc being overpowered, we get a 15 chapter fight of the mc being a weak bitch. Even the commoners of a random sect are much stronger than him

I honestly don't think i can get into this novel. Only 30 chapters in and the writer is throwing countless things in.
1. Mc pissed off the local thugs. But didn't finish them. Just left his parents by themselves.
2. Mc pissed off big thugs. But didn't finish them. Left his parents alone.
3. A boring as hell 15 chapter long fight.
