Daniel Blake had lost his wife at the delivery of their child, which was tragic for him. In the midst of losing his love interest and feeling like a walking dead person, he needed to reclaim his life in order to care for his baby daughter Lisa.
He realised that drinking all day and night and pushing himself into depression would not help him forget about his late wife, so he decided to hunt for someone to assist him raise his daughter, and from the minute he met his new nanny Emily, his life was transformed completely. Not only did he find a nanny for his daughter, but he also found a lady who may perhaps become her mother and his wife in the not-too-distant future.
